Great product that will dramatically reduce the number of Phishing attempts that get through.
What do you like best about the product?
The product sits downstream from our current O365 ATP implementation. It catches what Microsoft does not. I like the fact that it doesn't need to integrate with any existing tools, it just scans after the other tools have done their job.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. I does what its designed to do very well. I like the portal interface and the user population finds it easy to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phishing and Spoofing are a major problem and Avanan has alleviated this problem for us. Very little, if any, get through Avanan. Before using Avanan, we were seeing quite a bit slip through Microsoft's filters. Once we deployed Avanan, they have mostly disappeared.
Easy to integrate and operationally excellent
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard gives me a very complete view of, not only my email security but all O365 content security, including basic DLP functions. Also, the amount of phishing that is stopped before it reaches users has greatly improved using Avanan.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the DLP functions over-report issues and have been difficult to filter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily Avanan was put in place to reduce the risk of cybersecurity incidents caused by employee actions in file sharing, email, and other electronic interactions. We have reduced the number of phishing messages our users receive in their inbox. We are also verifying URLs in emails before sending users to sites, further increasing our assurance that clicked URLs will not cause malware or other issues to permeate our network.
Don't Let A Malicious Email Slip Through The Cracks!
What do you like best about the product?
AVANAN makes my life as a sole IT guy easier. The number of blocked emails has went up tremendously, and this equates to more time for me!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about AVANAN is the fact it miss classifies items, sometimes. But this is actually preferred, as opposed to letting a malicious email slip through the cracks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just too many spam emails coming my way!!!!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't let this one pass you by. The price is comparable to Microsoft ATP, but the service is top notch!
Effective protection that's easy to manage and explains its decisions
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature about Avanan is how clearly it explains why it believes phishing or malware emails are dangerous. Seeing the risk factors helps easily either explain to staff why we're blocking messages or gives us the background needed to release blocked messages to the users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all tuning options are exposed to customers. Some require working with Avanan to make changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Microsoft's email protection isn't enough. Dangerous emails still get delivered to end users. Avanan helps us create a defense in depth by reviewing the messages allowed by Microsoft and blocks phishing and malware messages that would have otherwise created exposures.
Good product for saas
What do you like best about the product?
Deployment is relatively quick but does require some attention to do it right. Would definitely recommend deploying in test environment first.

Documentation needs to be clearer and much more in depth

What do you like best about the product?
Works effectively when deployed per best practice recommendations. We were able to easily integrate IaaS gateways into a hybrid cloud with our on-premise infrastsructure and multiple cloud vendors
What do you dislike about the product?
Licences are per-core rather than per-gateway, no licence discount for standby manager in HA pair.

What do you like best about the product?
Incredibly easy to set up, implement, and use. It has greatly reduced spam and phishing emails, and sends us notifications of potential threats as soon as they arrive in our email. The reports that it generates as history are very useful. It was very easy to integrate it with our other platforms. Notifications are highly intuitive, so they can be easily understood by our employees. Customer service is efficient and fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
In all the time we have been using Avanan Cloud Email Security we have never had mishap of any kind. They have treated us in the best possible way and the minimum errors that they came to present have been solved. Day after day its functions improve more and more, which we love.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This platform has met our expectations and even exceeded them, initially we got it from the need to free ourselves from all these emails that could be harmful to us but we did not expect this software to be so effective. You have solved our problems in full, our employees have understood what phishing is all about and how to avoid it through this software. We feel supported and much more secure thanks to Avanan Cloud.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This platform is simply wonderful, its cost is accessible for all types of companies and without any marketing deception regarding it. It fully complies with what it promises and the attention is very pleasant. Our employees do nothing but thank us for making this investment. Since there is nothing negative to say regarding Avanan Cloud Email Security, it is not very difficult to conclude that we fully recommend it.

Checkpoints take time to get used to on the CLI but thats not a bad thing
