What is our primary use case?
We use the solution for the protection of email from phishing attacks, spam, and malicious email-related activities.
It detects and blocks the most advanced phishing attacks across inbound, outbound, and internal communications, in real-time, before the attack succeeds.
The solution is used for email protection, providing IT administrators with a great amount of information about possible attacks faced by the organization, and logins by users.
It also has a high level of detail in its reports, facilitating the management and detection of possible threats to the security of the organization.
With the addition of the DMARC module, it makes it much easier to monitor the security policies applied and provides visual information about the type of traffic received, avoiding domain spoofing.
How has it helped my organization?
The number of phishing and spam emails has decreased and email security has improved by 80%. The IT team has noticed a great improvement in the number of emails received and a decrease in attacks. The helpful alerts generated by HEC facilitate the management and response.
Thanks to its dashboard, it displays detailed information about detected activities, suspicious logins, span deletions, or phishing detected and blocked with a high level of detail. The level of reporting detail facilitates threat management; now the organization has an additional layer of protection for end users.
What is most valuable?
The ease of management and intuitive administration are excellent. Thanks to its dashboard, the most valuable thing is the detection capability provided by this solution. The level of detail offered by Harmony is unique, to the point of showing the differences between what is detected by Office 365 and what is detected by HEC. The organization relies on this email security solution and facilitates the protection of all end users, decreasing security breaches by malicious actors.
What needs improvement?
The integration with Gsuite could be improved, especially when reporting the amount of emails it manages to filter. It could be improved to obtain a greater level of detail, unlike Office 365, which offers an extreme level of detail and facilitates the management and comparison of what is happening with respect to the mail. Its integration with Gsuite is simpler and has that point against it, however high levels of detail can be obtained in the reports of the solution. On the other hand, the ease of administration and threat detection capabilities are its strong points, and it stands out from other solutions that I have had the opportunity to test before.

What do you like best about the product?
The portal is very simple to navigate and quickly see and resolve any issues. The ability to see all issues in a simple display and then forensically see very detailed analytics of each item makes security very quick to review and saves valuable time for security team to manage. Reports are also very good and display key information for management

We can provide customer reports automatically and these show useful information to managemnt so that they can see the product is working well.
Avanan Cloud Email Security - Great overall email security product
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Functionality is superb. Dashboard can see both MS email tracing and Check Point.
What do you dislike about the product?
None that I can think of at this moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basic MS Security with no added features, can still allow spam/scam/phishing types emails through and raises concern on the education of the end-users to ensure that they understand what traits of an email to catch if it is not legitimate.

It does an amazing job of identifying and quarantining email, MUUUCCCHHH better than MS Defender.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish some rules could be made more granular, such as to quarantine emails with a specific URL from an address or domain that has never emailed us before.

What do you like best about the product?
Cloud security product designed with simple one time configuration and future advanced monitoring, control using policies for any phishing attacks, spam, malware if needed. Tool itself provide enough security with latest auto features updates, hence administrator do not need to involve for any further customization. Location tracking is one more best funtion available to identity threat with regions and users access.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cloud email security product cost is higher, hence unable to implement entire organization which we supposed to do. All the users supposed to protected. Microsoft Team is part of cloud email security package, but did not provide any protection for spam chat message in Teams, and Avalon team need to work on such threats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product solves security threats, phishing advanced protection which is not possible with MS365. Malware protection, spam filtering etc. is also protecting. Tool work on second layer after MS365 inbuilt protection, which helps to reduce security threats.

The solution fails to support hybrid deployments.
Currently, the solution supports cloud email only. It would be great if they could also support hybrid deployments.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten since there were a few minor issues that were quickly resolved while the uptime of the product has not been 100 percent.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
I would say that probably around 50 percent of our customer base uses the solution.
How are customer service and support?
The solution's technical support is very good. I rate the technical support a ten out of ten.
How was the initial setup?
I rate the product's initial setup a nine out of ten since the setup phase is seamless 99 percent of the time. If the end user customized the Office 365 tenant a lot, then a manual setup might be required.
The solution is deployed on the public cloud while supporting cloud services from Google and Microsoft.
The deployment process of the solution takes about five minutes. It would probably take ten minutes if we consider from start to finish of the deployment process.
For deployment, there is a need to create an account in Check Point Infinity Portal, after which you can activate Harmony Email & Collaboration module and then provide the credentials to your Office 365 tenant, following which the integration process starts.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I rate the product's pricing a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive.
It is a reasonably priced product offering good value for money.
What other advice do I have?
I would say that since Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration provides a two-week evaluation option, it's very easy to integrate into your environment in a read-only mode so that it doesn't interfere with your email. It just scans and then provides you a report afterward of the threats your solution has missed and what Check Point would have caught.

The product is reliable and sturdy. It can be configured within five minutes and has minimal downtime. It provides an in-built API functionality. It supports chat and file sharing from solutions like OneDrive, SharePoint, Google Drive, and Dropbox. Additionally, it offers 100% protection for unified communication or collaboration to prevent hacking incidents like the Zoom hack.
What needs improvement?
They must provide security to Rediffmail and other email service providers. At present, it is limited to only two email services. They should also offer additional protection to Zoom, Cisco Webex, BlueJeans, and StarLeaf.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration for five to six days. However, we have been using Check Point for five to six years.

I rate the platform’s stability a ten out of ten.

I rate the platform’s scalability a ten out of ten. It is suitable for small, medium, and large companies. Mostly, it will be helpful for small enterprises that can’t afford firewall solutions like Wireshark.
How are customer service and support?
Check Point has a good support system in our country. They are 100% customer-centric and have many support partners as well.
How was the initial setup?
It is straightforward to set up. We can deploy within five minutes.
What about the implementation team?
Check Point is a very user-friendly product. The customers can deploy it easily with some technical knowledge; they can take help for installation and programming for a nominal cost from the product partners.

What do you like best about the product?
The tool gives you a chance to secure all your Email communications. With that you are sure that the inforation you share in your organization is secure and safe. The tool is also easy to customise and deploy. When it comes to usage, the interface is intuitive making it interesting to us.
