What do you like best about the product?
It allows us to run reference checks without having to place calls to former employers or refs listed. In our digital world, this is just what we need!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of different options to choose from when you select a role/title. It can be overwhelming.

Fantastic way to reference check

What do you like best about the product?
It is all data driven. You can compare candidates to others with the same skill set. You do not have to call people randomly and take notes. Simple email reminders come out as well to alert someone that they need to complete the reference by a certain amount of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Truly nothing - it is very simple to use and it seems like an affordable technology to invest in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a data driven company so seeing numbers matters. It is also very good for professional development - The manager knows exactly what they need to focus on in terms of their new hires' weaknesses and strengths.

What do you like best about the product?
Completeness of references received - Instead of only getting a "yeah great" regarding a person you get some real insight into their personality and function within a workplace. People feel more comfortable revealing details with the anonymous nature of the service.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't dislike anything, sometimes it is slightly difficult to find the right survey for titles as you have to word it just right, but it's not a major issue at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This gives us a lot of insight into the candidates we're looking to hire and allows a free-form entry for people's best qualities, and places where they may need improvement. The service also highlights potential fraud by checking IP addresses.

Skillsurvey - Making the Reference Check process so much easier!

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of completing references, the sourcing tool, the survey option.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't an integration with our ATS yet. Not necessarily Skillsurveys fault. But hopefully, something that is available in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Skillsurvey makes the entire reference check process so much easier and is also organizing the references so that we have the option to go back to them as potential hires.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very user-friendly. It is accommodating for our ever-growing company. We like that we can use many integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only downside to iCIMS is the limitation it has on scheduled reports and filtering on them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I really don't have any at this time.

What do you like best about the product?
I like all the options it offers. It can be a LOT, but if you spend the time up front to make it what you need, it pays dividends down the road.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting is like 7 or 8 out of 10. There's a LOT of great reporting, but it's not as "intuitive" as you'd think - there are a lot of limitations by search type.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to iCIMS, every recruiter managed candidates in their own desktop folders, and we manually posted jobs to all sites. We're way more streamlined now!

What do you like best about the product?
The system is easy to use, and one of the best features is how customizable the system is.
What do you dislike about the product?
I used to love the fact that you could call into the help desk and speak to someone right away, I truly dislike that now everything becomes a ticket.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to text a candidate is fantastic.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please bring back live support staff when you call into the help desk. It feels like it takes a while to get someone to respond to the ticket and most times I just need to talk through some questions versus email them. It makes it really hard to try and email details because sometimes a question pops up during a discussion and you can't always type out everything into a help ticket. SUGGESTION: If there is an option while creating a help ticket to provide some available times for someone to call you, that would be an option that could expedite a call.

What do you like best about the product?
It saves us a ton of time. Compiling all of the results into one place is handy too. SkillSurvey integrates into The Applicant Manager. Being able to add your questions is confusing but handy. Results are probably more candid overall than traditional phone call reference checks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The manager response rate isn't crazy great. I've had more references than I expected to respond, detailing how unprofessional and impersonal performing background checks in this manner is. Some applicants have struggled with the tech side - perhaps it's not the most user-friendly experience for that group of folks. The integration into The Applicant Manager was a HUGE pain initially but not bad to use once set up. This may have more to do with The Applicant Manager than SkillSurve but is still worth mentioning. It takes longer to get responses than they advertise, especially when you factor in the time for an applicant to input their references.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SkillSurvey frees up a lot of time to focus on other aspects of the hiring process. Having all of the references in one platform and just a click away is handy.

Skill Survey has saved our company so much time with reference checks. It makes the reference process smooth!

Entry-level candidates sometimes don't have a lot of references, so those are hard sometimes to do with this platform.
