It could be so much better
What do you like best about the product?
The iPad application to collect potential applicants names and emails at events. You can have them self-select the talent group they are interested in like marketing or engineering and then send out mass follow up emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
The applicant experience requires users to create a profile and login which a lot of ATS's have gotten rid of so they are behind the curve. The recruiter workflow is super slow and cumbersome. You have to refresh the page or go back to the homepage every time you move a candidate(s) to a different status. The reporting functionality is not good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have only been able to use the bare bones of the system to collect applicants and move them through the process. We wanted to integrate with other systems and get better reporting functionality but were unable to do so during our three year contract.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you think it may work for your organization, be careful of signing a multi-year contract just in case
iCIMS is powerful, but quirky
What do you like best about the product?
iCIMS has a really natural workflow for reviewing applicants and moving them through the process. They have been generally strong with integrations with our other systems. I also like the general flexibility of their reporting functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limit on the number of output columns in reporting. It has a tendency to be slow, especially during high traffic times of the day. Lately it has been crashing inexplicably!

How to manage and search through large quantities of global applicants.
Great ATS
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use - I had never used an ATS before and was able to teach myself very quickly. It is very customizable and streamlines the entire recruiting process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting could be better. High cost. Otherwise, it is great.

It really is a one stop shop in terms of applicant tracking systems.

iCIMS is a decent way to collect application materials for hiring.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hate that you can see all the applications/cover letters someone has submitted for a particular job. It also seems to confuse the end user when they upload multiple cover letters.

I don't recommend this software; it's not user friendly.

What do you like best about the product?
I used this to refer friends to jobs I thought they would be a good fit for. I found it very easy to use
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of the interfaces were great and easy to follow, but some aspects needed updating to be more user friendly

This made referring appropriate candidates very easy and also helped with recruiting eligible candidates

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can customize it to suit my needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Moving around the candidate files can take some time, a lot of "clicking" to get to where I want to be. Can be frustrating at times
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is our Candidate tracking system. I can utilize talent pools to reserve candidates, send out bulk emails and track where my candidates are thru each step in the process.
Good system to use to apply for jobs
What do you like best about the product?
As a user who has used this system multiple times to apply for jobs I like the flow of it as a user.
What do you dislike about the product?
I heard from our HR staff that the user interface on their end was a little harder than it should be. Additionally, on the users end it felt like some of the questions repeated themselves.

I think the benefits of using ICims is very beneficial. A wide range of employees at my company can use this- from recruiting to opperations to HR. Theres lots of tools that can be utilized.

I think it is an all around good service to use- it's very wide-ranged and offers lots of various things from recruiting to HR, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Good way to keep your applicant processing organized and give line of sight to others. Ease of managing job postings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Implementation took a while, long process. Team needed a great deal of training to be able to use to its potential. Not as much customization as I would like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making tracking applicants and onboarding much quicker. Easier reporting for recruiters to report on status of pipeline. We had a large talent pool to manage and track iCIMS made that much easier and with better reporting functionality.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Will give great line of sight to recruiting process, gives a place for all information needed. Great tool to use in reporting to other departments. Make sure users are well trained, will make implementation much easier and you will increase your ROI.
