Flexible, Industrial Strength Auth for reasonable Rates
What do you like best about the product?
It provided a good replacement for Auth0 / Okta for our system as we have been priced out of their "base market". It respects all of the same industry standards and complies with all necessary pieces but provides a bit more configuration capabilties and their docs are more focused on the development community as opposed to market "fluff".
What do you dislike about the product?
Very minor in terms of "dislike" but it requires a lot more configuration to "get going" as opposed to the higher priced options. A higher level executive / manager probably would be put off, but teams implementing loved the options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves all of the usual problems of unified IAM and SSO (consistency, policy definition and enforcement, standards) at a reasonable price. We were not looking for price as the primary priority for our authentication system, but with the "top dogs" in Auth0 / Okta, it definitely factored it. The FusionAuth system and documentation helped make the transition of our live system seamless and hidden from the users.

Quality Product, Great Customer Support
What do you like best about the product?
FusionAuth took the time to meet with me and my development team to talk through what it was we were looking for. Once it was clear, they presented what options were available and were on hand for follow-up meetings as well. It's not often that a small business like ours gets the kind of personalized treatment that we receive from FusionAuth. When it comes to technical integrations, knowing we can get support when we need it is fantastic. It also doesn't hurt that they were much cheaper than our previous solution and offered straightforward pricing.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was definitely a learning curve to get started. It took a real deep dive by my lead developer before we felt like we were able to make progress. That said, given the product, I imagine this is true for any such service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to improve our SSO and MFA options, and also needed to add user provisioning in order to meet customer demand. FusionAuth is helping us do that, at a cost that won't put us out of business.
Bueno, pero faltan algunas funciones
What do you like best about the product?
Que se pueda instalar on premise y su facilidad de implementación
What do you dislike about the product?
El metodo de licencias y la falta de parametrización
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
El licenciamiento es algo incomodo para proyectos en early stage, por otro lado, frente a otras soluciones populares si bien su configuracion es bastante completa, el 2FA no puede ser un addon adicional.
Smooth transition to a great IDP
What do you like best about the product?
Great support, easy to use, great feature set, very easy to integrate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish I could see who is assigned to a group in that group.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FusionAuth helps Lightspeed manage our user base. We can easily manage who has access to which companies and services within that user base. Provisioning new users is a snap as well.
The product is good, the team is great
What do you like best about the product?
The product is very flexible and does what we need it to do, but the support team is great. They're very responsive and willing to lend their expertise to solve our business needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The organization of some of the features isn't what I expect so it sometimes takes reading the documentation to understand where to find things abd what features are called.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use FusionAuth in a few ways, the most important for us is to act as a SAML intermediary. We configure FusionAuth as a ServiceProvider for each of our customers and our application can use FusionAuth as an upstream IdentityProvider. This reduces the effort of customer implementations significantly and allows us to focus on our business instead of authentication.
Developer focused, highly customizable, fair priced
What do you like best about the product?
Was super easy to integrate. Dev team was able to provide adequate support to get things off the ground
What do you dislike about the product?
Some issues found with the product have been reported an taking longer than expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Offload securing passwords and user accounts. Leverage using other authentication system thru SAML
FusionAuth has been a great solution for replacing our original provider.
What do you like best about the product?
FusionAuth has been very easy to integrate with, supports all of our requirements, there is a terraform provider that works, and the admin/management UI is easy to work with and navigate. Developers were able to adapt easily to the new provider and new features have been very easy to implement. Their customer support has been fabulous when we needed them. We utilize FusionAuth for all systems in development and qa.
What do you dislike about the product?
The terraform provider is not supported directly by FusionAuth therefore has a few issues with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FusionAuth is our authorization system for our applications. It helps us meet our compliance requirements and requires no real management from us. Our customers like it because of the seamless SSO support and MFA capabilities.
Easy authentication management for thousands of system users
What do you like best about the product?
Having the option for FusionAuth to host our solution in a single-tenant format giving us total confidence in uptime and availability. Add to that integrating robust security features with easy, out-of-the-box solutions like MFA and SSO. Implementing was well supported and fairly straight-forward - on the essentials plan we had helpful support on the timeline we agreed to. In our migration of 10,000+ users they never missed a beat with the just-in-time migration option keeping our solution online throughout.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a wide gap in support levels between the Enterprise and Essentials tiers of the service and we would have loved a more middling option with quicker guaranteed turnaround during business hours but not requiring 24/7 access to support. Otherwise our experience so far has been very positive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to FusionAuth we handled IAM in house and being able to confidently put it in the hands of professionals is exactly what we were looking for. Also being able to add included features like MFA and SSO has been huge, allowing us to continually deliver value to our users with very little lift on our engineering team.
Flexible authentication and authorization platform with excellent support and great documentation
What do you like best about the product?
FusionAuth documentation is great. Authentication is a complex subject but you will quickly gain a good level of understanding of how to implement FusionAuth in your stack with the way their documentation is structured.
Their support is excellent. In fact, I think it's the best support we have accross all our third parties. Yes we pay for the 24/7 support, but the fact remains that they take the time to actually understand our issues and go over potential solutions with meaningful suggestions be it via chat or video calls.
FusionAuth API is robust and well made.

FusionAuth API is robust and well made.
What do you dislike about the product?
The FusionAuth admin dashboard is not great for troubleshooting and monitoring users.
We needed to build a lot of internal tooling with their API to meet our needs. On the other hand, their product needs to be generic enough to cover most use cases and flexible enough (through their API) to cover more complex scenarios. However, I still feel like the dashboard could offer more information regading user sessions and user tracking (tokens issued, information added in these tokens, etc).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Operating an up-to-date, and reliable authentication system with low effort without sacrificing on security.
Our core business is not building an authentication service.
With FusionAuth, we save time and effort on complex auth infrasctructure that we can reinvest in core features for our customers.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it in our cloud application for user access and backend processes.
