Excellent tool for driving Data Governance
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is easily customisable. Adoption by users requires minimal training. The system is flexible and easily integrated with other systems
What do you dislike about the product?
The license cost for users with write access
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data Ownership, governance and data lineage

What do you like best about the product?
User intuitive, interface looks nice and it is easy to create relationships between assets and view these relationships on each asset page. It is also good that you can view this in diagram form.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when we add in asset characterstics they don't reflect straight away, and if we add them in again they duplicate which can be confusing. For the same asset characteristics these also reflect in different orders, even when inputted in the same order.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collibra allows us capture our data assets within the business, and their relationships to other assets. We can also captured things such as data owners and governance policies to ensure the correct people have access.

What do you dislike about the product?
In some areas Collibra as a tool still need maturity and as we progress with implementations in some scenerios the drawbacks were identified and reported.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One Repository of all Data concepts, visible to all, ready for all to contribute, shows one truth and community understand one meaning of one data concept, bring transparency and provide latest status, shows governance responibilty.

Very User friendly too. Easy to learn and configure.

As a technical metadata tool, Collibra is great. It seems comparatively less explored territory for business users.

Centralized metadata tool.

it would be great to see more integration with different type of sources becoming available, and support for better lineages.

Utilizing the OOTB features to quickly bring ROI to the organization.
So far loving the functionality and responsiveness of support
What do you like best about the product?
The coaching hours, hands-on/ assigned Customer Success Manager, and ticketing system have proven essential. New hires appreciate Collibra University and coaching hours. I appreciate the responsiveness of our Account Rep.
What do you dislike about the product?
Costs of specific add-ons and the licensing pricing structure seem high for what constitutes an author license. It may help to look at allowing the consumer licenses to do some bare minimum tasks, such as filling out assessments or submitting a workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to a lack of adoption, Collibra is still not benefiting the organization. We hope to change that in the next year or two. Still need tools to measure increased business performance.

What do you like best about the product?
Data from all the data sources can be collate in a very easy manner. Data can be visualized by using collibra and it is very easy approach to deal with.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some of the support issues and workflow issues when we use ti work on collibra after maintenance of collibra instance is done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using collibra we can customise the things by our own way. Using workflows we can even introduce the business terms or the business assets and get them user ready.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how customizable everything is. There is a good amount of OOTB features to cover basic set-up, but assets, relations, roles are all able to be customized to make for a more unique user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are certain customizations that I wished were easier, such as being able to control certain features of the UI; for example, the ability to hide the Data Basket feature until it was ready for use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a need for a centralized data catalog, where all of our information is in the same place. Collibra has allowed us visibility into the data we have, and what we are doing with it.

Data lineage is very rich with a lot of information about a data asset. You can do end-to-end Data governance in Collibra. A lot of tasks have been automated now which is great
What do you dislike about the product?
Using Collibra requires Data Literacy and one must learn a few basics before they start exploring. All DG programs require data literacy so this is a general DG problem today
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cutting time involved in Impact analysis during Change management or troubleshooting a data issue during application support hours and mapping the current state of your data landscape are some of the great benefits
One stop shop for Data governance and management
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to split into clusters or communities which enables you to split all the components within the data lifecycle

Ease of you for non-data governance or management experts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collibra is solving our central governance issues. We are able to enforce governance in a central platform, bringing all stakeholders to collaborate and engage.
