Collibra has offered a great insight in understanding our data
What do you like best about the product?
Collibra has recently introduced major upgrades like workflow versioning, workspace organization, enhanced lineage for platforms like Databricks and Azure, and AI-powered features such as automated asset descriptions and rule generation. These updates improve data governance, quality, and transparency—making it easier for businesses to manage complex data ecosystems and responsibly scale AI initiatives.
What do you dislike about the product?
Collibra could be easier to work with in some areas—setting up data ingestion and workflows can take more effort than expected, and mapping specs still feel pretty manual. It’d also help if tools like Edge were a bit more stable and the APIs more consistent, just to cut down on the back-and-forth for technical teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data flow across the orgnisation has been a challenge and Collibra helps reveal this to a degree.

What do you like best about the product?
Collibra is a data privacy cloud service that makes it easy to discover, understand and protect sensitive data, leveraging automation and insights to speed up privacy operations by applying a machine learning algorithm classifying data by category and confidentiality protecting data potential of the company, it is a perfect tool that makes us feel confident where all the data is safe, there is no information leak, everything works safely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Collibra is an excellent service to classify confidential data, improve accuracy and save time, obtaining a maximum increase in productivity, it is a tool that has been of great help for data security and better process management, facilitating quick access by teams to data and feel confident. It offers full features is wonderful and nothing bothers me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collibra is a powerful privacy service in the cloud that provides great results in my organization, thanks to this tool we have increased the increase in time and productivity by 50%, it helps the migration of data to the cloud to be clean, accurate and relevant. Work teams can now discover and trust when accessing data quickly. It is a secure and flexible tool that offers great results to organizations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend Collibra because it puts the power to maintain sensitive data compliance, discovery, and protection at your fingertips with better data compression across the organization saving time, delivering powerful results with trusted data, mitigating risk, and driving collaboration with self-service.

What do you like best about the product?
User can create custom views. Workflows help to manage ownership discussion.
What do you dislike about the product?
To develop a workflow you need to use Eclipse. Versioning and deploying workflows is not user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am configuring the tool and developing custom solutions.

Collibra as a product, its UI, features, and great resources to accompany its deployment, incl. governance strategy/framework, and expertise from Collibra architects
What do you dislike about the product?
Collibra as a technology/capability still needs to evolve to support data governance activities end-to-end, namely the data quality and data lineage capabilities need to mature. Then Collibra will be even better for larger enterprises
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making access to data easy, user friendly interface to understand data better, workflows to support data governance processes

It's very user friendly and it's provides lot of possibilities for making data governance framework. Support from the company is very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
I guess the the initial cost and no free trail available to try the product cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have worked with multiple companies to slove mostly Data Governance related things like GDPR , Critical data source , Data Lineage.

Improving in data governance by rnqbling various business stakeholders to understand their data and gain insights for the same.

I would recommend to everybody.
Powerful metadata and data governance tool that could be a little too much for some
What do you like best about the product?
It's customizable and capable. They give you a good OOTB model to allow you to capture various kinds of metadata. What's not included you can add based on your business needs. Workflows allow you to set up processes that match your use cases and ways of working. The number of support materials and coaching from Collibra is also pretty good. I like that they are moving in the direction of more machine learning.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be confusing at times. Customizability is a double-edged sword as you are constantly second-guessing yourself and wondering if your changes or additions will cause unintended problems or conflicts later. We find ourselves wishing Collibra would be more prescriptive with some parts while allowing configurations where things don't fit our business. The licensing model charges each author, which discourages use of the tool. It would be better if we could allow anyone to contribute (in more ways than simply adding comments or running workflows) to attain true adoption and get the traction we need to be successful. The tool could be friendlier to business data stewards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing us to centralize the documentation of our data ecosystem and make it transparent to all employees. People know that if you have questions about data, you don't need to ask around and hopefully find the person with the right tribal knowledge - we are offloading all of that into Collibra. We are also starting to take advantage of their data lineage and data quality components.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Collibra is very flexible and customizable. I would recommend collecting a large number of use cases, prioritizing them, fully understanding Collibra's capabilities, and analyzing how the OOTB asset model can address these use cases. You may need to customize the model in some places, but I recommend utilizing what is available first, as some customizations may require rework later. I would also be very careful while working with different divisions within your company. You can choose to allow each division to scope their customizations so that they're only visible to them. Keep communication open to determine when it makes sense for different areas to customize versus using the tool consistently across the company.

Collibra provides handful of information with pre defined busines models. It has powerful integration with external data sources, on top comes with cloud which makes easy to manage application resources

Import and export processes needs to be further improved.

Data Catalogue, Metadata management. easy handle and serves as single place for trusted and certified data attributes from respective owners

What do you like best about the product?
Easy for governance around your metadata. The platform provides features like catalog,glossary,Data help desk etc which are awesome . Job servers being one of the top features for connecting multiple system for data pulling.

UI could have been more user friendly...
