What do you like best about the product?

The live access to files and videos without having to download them first all at a great price.

What do you dislike about the product?

That you can't change the location of your local cache. You have to save everything first, delete the current cache and start a new plan. It makes sense due to how they manage your security but is a bit inconvenient when getting new team members that aren't near the original cache. Have overcome this by pinning files.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

An easily accessible online cloud. For video editing the person can use files directly from the cloud without downloading which speeds up workflow.

What do you like best about the product?

What I like best about LucidLink is how it makes it feel like my files are stored locally, even though they're in the cloud. It allows me to access large files on demand without downloading entire folders, which saves both time and storage space. Performance is smooth, collaboration is seamless, and it's especially useful for teams working with large media files across different locations. The setup is straightforward, and it integrates well into existing workflows.

What do you dislike about the product?

One downside is that LucidLink's performance depends heavily on having a stable, high-speed internet connection. If the connection is slow or unreliable, accessing larger files can be less responsive. The pricing may also be a consideration for smaller teams or individual users, and some advanced configuration options can take a little time to learn. Overall, these haven't outweighed the benefits for my workflow.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

LucidLink solves the challenge of accessing and collaborating on large files without the need to constantly download, upload, or sync entire folders. It provides a shared workspace where team members can work on the same files from different locations with minimal delays. This has streamlined our workflow, reduced storage requirements on local devices, improved collaboration, and allowed projects to move faster with fewer file management issues.

What do you like best about the product?

I like that LucidLink helps me back up more files real fast and that it has an easy UI. I'm also a fan of the EasyViewer feature because it lets me manage different files easily. The initial setup of LucidLink was really easy, which is great.

The price too expensive

LL is making it possible for us to bypass a very complex technical challenge: connecting our international post-production team while keeping our output highly efficient.

What do you like best about the product?

We primarily use the application in our marketing department. There, we work very intensively with external agencies and service providers, and this often involves the exchange of large documents or file volumes. These are mainly Adobe files from the software products Photoshop and Premiere Pro; these inherently have a large file size. This is exactly where Lucet Link is very advantageous, because the immediate availability is very practical in everyday life and you can quickly exchange large files regardless of the standard.

What do you dislike about the product?

There is a new mode in which even people who do not need to upload documents have the opportunity to download files via a web interface – and all of this is even free. Nevertheless, this mode is still somewhat underdeveloped: It appears sluggish in places and is not optimally designed overall. I see significant potential for optimization here.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We introduced the software because we wanted to be able to share large amounts of documents quickly and intelligently, regardless of location. It was important to us that the whole process is also secure. As a result, we were able to significantly accelerate our processes.

What do you like best about the product?

What truly sets this product apart is its unwavering performance. It seamlessly integrates with MacOS, making it an ideal tool for my video editing work. It facilitates efficient file sharing and fosters a collaborative environment for different projects.

What do you dislike about the product?

I can’t think of anything I genuinely dislike about the tool. If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be having more AI integrations for things like file searching, for example. Still, it’s not something I’m particularly anxious to get.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main problem LucidLink solves perfectly is file and project sharing. As a video editor working at a company with a team of editors, LucidLink has proven to be the perfect tool for this kind of collaborative workflow. We can open other editors’ projects and use their files, all integrated in one platform that also connects seamlessly with our OS of choice.

What do you like best about the product?

I love how easy it is to share files with my team making it so easy to work the same project. It's just one click to mount the shared drive and then the rest is up to us.

What do you dislike about the product?

We’ve noticed that after leaving our mounted drive open for a while, the connection quality drops from excellent to poor.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Definitely the interconnectivity between computers. Before Lucidlink, we were using Google Drive, and we had to download everything at really bad speeds. On top of that, we couldn’t keep things readily at hand the way Lucidlink lets us.

What do you like best about the product?

It keeps all my AE project files up to date while I’m working on them. I save, and it saves right along with me. I don’t have to worry about downloading a file to work locally, then uploading it again and having to relink files and footage afterward.

What do you dislike about the product?

It can sometimes have boot me off the server in the middle of working and the reconnection time isnt terrible but it is an inconvenience.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is helping me to keep access to a central location for all files and footage like a local server would but it is easily accessed and updated by a whole team of artists at once.

What do you like best about the product?

I like how simple it is to use and the speed

What do you dislike about the product?

The UI can use some work. I believe it looked a bit older from the last time I used it.

It lets us access our files a lot quicker than on prem storage.
