Reliable large-file storage with anywhere access

  • February 07, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's helpful to store large files and for others to be able to access these files. I can use it from anywhere too – I've accessed files in Edinburgh, London and Cape Town. We can find things easily and can work straight from Lucid without having to download files and reupload them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much – it works for what I need it for so I can't think of anything offhand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Work-wise, it helps a diverse team of people in different cities across the world share and access files.

Truly Native Cloud Files—Fast Streaming, No Sync Overhead, and End-to-End Encryption

  • February 06, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Most cloud based file systems claim to feel native but lucidlink is one of the few that actually delivers on that promise. There is no bulky sync engine constantly chewing CPU cycles in the background. It just streams what i need and when i need it. And because everything is encrypted end to end it hits that sweet spot between convenience and security. when multiple engineers or designers need access to shared artifacts, nobody is stuck waiting for syncs or worrying about overwriting someone's work. it genuinely improves flow.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing to dislike. i prefer more visibility or stronger auto optimization
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
with lucidlink's streaming file system, i can open massive files immediately. That cuts down a ton of downtime and keeps me in flow instead of waiting around. My teams often share large files across locations and traditional sync tools created version conflicts or required manual coordination. lucidlink provides everyone working off the same source without overwrites. it offers end to end encryption and consistent performance without needing VPN tunnels or clunky remote file systems.

It Just Works: Instant Project Sharing for Our Remote Video Editing Team

  • February 06, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It just works, it's as simple as that. My large team of video editors use it to share projects. The majority of the team work from home 4 days a week, and with LucidLink we can instantly share our projects for review and approvals.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't think of anything I dislike. It's easy to set up and manage, even our less technical colleagues are able to start using it almost instantly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team of video editors and producers are remote, but we're able to save our work centrally on our shared project folders and as soon as an editor has finished revisions they can flag it for feedback.

Streamlined Production Workflow with Seamless Team Collaboration

  • February 06, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that everything is in one place and that work can easily be accessed by team members. It's made production workflow so much easier. It solves having to download multiple files and re-upload them and allows seamless workflows with team members. It was really easy to set up, just login, password, and then ready to go, and downloading the app was also stress-free.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think sometimes there have been glitches and signing out at times has made it tricky to edit when on the move.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LucidLink for our main editing hub and storing footage. It solves the problem of downloading and re-uploading multiple files, making workflows with team members seamless and production workflow much easier.

Revolutionized Remote Video Editing Workflow

  • February 06, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how fast the storage is and the simplicity of mounting the file spaces as virtual volumes with LucidLink. It enables potentially multiple editors to work from footage and assets without needing to constantly re-link files or download the media on their end at all. Being able to add and remove members works especially well, and the user interface is pretty easy to use from an administration point-of-view. The initial setup of LucidLink was super easy, and the latest version improved the setup massively from a UI perspective.
What do you dislike about the product?
Potentially adding in notifications as part of the LucidLink app itself for when uploads are completed, either locally or via email, would be useful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LucidLink to quickly enable remote editing by allowing footage uploads from anywhere, which eliminates waiting for hard drives via post. I love its fast storage and ease of use, letting multiple editors work without needing to download files.

Revolutionary for File Management, Hindered by Mobile Limitations

  • February 06, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how LucidLink solves the tethering problem, allowing me to start working on the same data seamlessly across different devices. LucidLink isn't just about storage; it feels like a performance upgrade, providing the file management capabilities of a major studio without additional hardware clutter. The ability to tweak a plugin setting and have changes go live in the cloud instantly is a game-changer for server management. I also enjoy using LucidLink alongside VS Code and Docker, which lets me treat the cloud as a local development environment. Additionally, the setup process was shockingly frictionless.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the streaming tech is unmatched, LucidLink still feels like a 'Desktop-First' tool in a mobile world. The lack of true virtual-mount for iPadOS and the high price entry-point for solo pros are the two biggest hurdles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink solves the tethering problem by letting me work on large 50GB projects seamlessly between devices. It's a performance upgrade that offers file management power without hardware clutter and enables real-time cloud updates for server management.

Effortless Access to Large Files Anywhere

  • February 06, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use LucidLink to instantly access and share massive files from anywhere, like they're right on my local drive—no downloading or syncing hassle. What I love most about LucidLink is how it makes massive files feel instantly local—no more endless downloads or sync drama, just seamless work from anywhere. I often pair LucidLink with Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects so I can edit huge video projects directly without copying files around. Quite easy to setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main thing that could be better is that performance sometimes dips on slower internet connections, making those massive files feel a tiny bit laggy compared to truly local ones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LucidLink to instantly access and share massive files without downloading or syncing, solving the headache of waiting and sync issues.

Effortless Setup, Feels Like Local Storage

  • February 06, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how LucidLink is the only cloud storage that actually stays out of my way. I used to waste so much time managing files and waiting for downloads, but LucidLink's instant access changed that. It feels like a local drive but with the safety of the cloud. The setup was quick, about 15 minutes, and now it's just pure creativity without syncing or storage full errors. I appreciate how it solves the version control nightmare by providing a single source of truth that's always live, synced, and ready. It's incredibly efficient; when working on massive 4K video or huge website projects, my computer only pulls the 2% of the file it needs in that moment, making it feel like a lightning-fast internal SSD. Also, JetBrains works amazing with LucidLink.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at this time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LucidLink to access files instantly like a local drive with the cloud's safety, solving version control issues by offering a single source of truth. It boosts my creativity by eliminating file management hassles and sync delays.
