Simple, Fast Implementation. Perfect for Remote and Robust Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and fast implementation for remote and robust teams. Flexible integration. Customer support is reliable.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback is the absence of a robust web app for browsing the file system directly in a web browser. On several occasions, sync issues did not resolve automatically, and we had to manually clean up duplicate files. While this wasn't a major problem, it was definitely inconvenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having access to a shared file system for remote collaboration has been valuable, as it is straightforward to set up and flexible enough to fit into our existing workflows.
Seamless Video Editing and Streaming with LucidLink
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using LucidLink for its user-friendly installation process. It was incredibly easy to set up without any difficulties. The ability to access high-resolution video files without needing local syncing is a huge advantage, as it saves significant bandwidth and time. I appreciate how seamlessly it supports real-time collaboration across different locations, making it easier for team members to edit and process videos even when not on-premises. LucidLink is crucial for our streaming and editing needs, offering minimal latency while handling 4K videos. The integration capability with other software, like Adobe Premiere Pro, enhances our workflow, and the platform supports our media team's demands efficiently. I also love that it empowers our video production and postproduction teams with ease, making it an invaluable tool for managing our weekly services and social media content. It's a highly recommended solution for real-time data editing and live streaming management.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that there is a need for more research and development to expand integrations and customizations in LucidLink. This enhancement could make the software more accessible and convenient for various teams and across different business verticals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find LucidLink enables seamless video editing and streaming, providing access to high-resolution files from any location. It simplifies real-time collaboration for remote teams, allowing efficient work on large files without syncing locally, enhancing productivity.
Seamless Transition with LucidLink
What do you like best about the product?
Switching from our previous server solution to LucidLink has been completely seamless. There have been no lags or disruptions at any point. Onboarding the entire team was straightforward, and everyone can access it both in the office and remotely without any trouble. The team, including myself, relies on it daily, and I have not faced any issues. I especially appreciate how easy it is to mount backups, locate files that might have been lost, and recover them quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I haven't found anything to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I appreciate how easy it is to use, especially when it comes to managing and sharing files across our creative team. There are no problems with permissions when adding or uploading files, which makes collaboration much smoother. I also really like being able to control access based on user roles and groups. Our previous solution often had permission issues and lagged, causing frequent disruptions, but this one is seamless, fast, and straightforward to use.
Effortless Collaboration for Media Projects
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how LucidLink allows everyone to work from the same version seamlessly, which is incredibly useful for our team, especially when dealing with large video and audio production files. This single version access significantly reduces the complications of managing different versions of a file and eliminates the need for constant relinking of audio or video files, which was a significant issue for us in the past. The ease of setup and integration into my file system on a Mac was also straightforward and did not pose any challenges, which made onboarding quite easy. For complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, I haven't found anything comparable to LucidLink in terms of collaboration and efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
{"I experienced an issue where LucidLink stopped updating my work to the server without notifying me, which led to the loss of some work. While it wasn't a significant amount, it was still a challenging situation. It should make it very clear if it's not connected to the server.","I haven't found an easy way to unsync files from my computer to save space, unlike Dropbox, where you can easily make a file offline. This causes large projects to take up a lot of hard drive space.","There are occasional complications when uploading files directly from LucidLink or running a plugin on something in LucidLink, which seems dependent on internet connection. Although it's rare, sometimes things can crash, making it a more complicated experience compared to working purely from a hard drive."}
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find LucidLink solves file versioning issues, ensuring smooth collaboration among large, complex teams on video and audio projects, eliminating the need to relink files.
Best video cloud storage
What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink offers seamless file access and collaboration across distributed teams. The instant file streaming technology eliminates the need for syncing or downloading, which saves significant time and storage space. The platform is incredibly reliable, with fast performance even when working with large media files. The user interface is intuitive and easy to set up, and the security features give us peace of mind when sharing sensitive data. Overall, LucidLink has transformed how our team works remotely and improved our workflow efficiency dramatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
Converting from LucidLink Classic to the new version should be easier and more streamlined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink is making it super easy to access and collaborate on large files from anywhere, without the hassle of traditional file syncing or VPNs. Instead of waiting for files to download or dealing with version conflicts, we can work on content instantly as if it's stored locally on my machine. This means faster workflows, smoother collaboration with team members across different locations, and way less frustration when working with large media files or datasets. It's been a real game-changer for productivity!
A real game-changer for remote teams that deal with huge files
What do you like best about the product?
When I tested it, setting up a shared file space was insanely fast. I just installed the client, connected the space, and the designers were already browsing folders from the Finder on macOS like it was a local drive. It honestly felt like we were all back in the office again. What’s great is that an external collaborator can jump into the same folders without anyone needing to copy stuff manually. Other users mentioned the same thing in reviews — “no downloads, no waiting.” I also like that they’ve added better security, admin tools, and infrastructure updates for businesses, like custom snapshot scheduling, instant renaming for filespaces, and tighter admin control for big teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing is, costs can climb pretty fast once you start adding more storage or people. And even though they’ve added a lot for enterprise use, some of the advanced tools might be overkill for smaller teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my company, it used to be a pain coordinating between graphic designers, video editors, and devs working from different countries. Before LucidLink, everyone had to download the main project files, copy versions, rely on VPNs — total mess. We decided to test LucidLink by creating one main filespace for a marketing campaign project with all the assets: designs, raw videos, and source files. One day, a client requested a last-minute change from a freelancer in another country who had never worked with us before. We just opened the space from his laptop, sent him an invite link, and in less than 30 minutes he was looking at the files and editing while I reviewed everything from the office. When he saved, everyone saw the updates right away. No 40GB ZIP files, no endless downloads. That alone saved us from the usual last-hour chaos before delivery, and everyone could finally breathe easy.

Easy Setup, Good Performance, Reliable Support
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the excellent performance and ease of setup with LucidLink compared to other compatibility storage solutions. The tool is straightforward, with a clean and clear dashboard that simplifies configuration. The powerful features such as user management, file space monitoring, access control, performance, billing, subscriptions, and security settings are particularly beneficial. I value the user management and monitoring capabilities which make managing and monitoring the file space easy via a web-based control panel. Furthermore, the seamless integration with backup solutions makes cloud storage management effortless for our clients. My clients and partners are very satisfied with the support provided by LucidLink, and this contributes to my confidence in recommending it. As of now, there have been no major issues, making it a reliable tool for us and our partners.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that the security features are lacking and could be improved. While overall, everything is good, I believe that adding more security features could enhance user management and other aspects of the service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find LucidLink provides excellent performance and ease of setup, with a clean dashboard for managing and monitoring cloud file space, which simplifies control and enhances user management and security.
Seamless Workflow and Top-Tier File Management, But Pricey
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidlink makes my workflow seamless. There are very little headaches for me as a video editor worse than trying to constantly hunt down media, and stay connected whether I'm at home, at the office, or on the move. I love how Lucidlink allows you to work easily, without need for hardware or extensive setups.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real con to Lucidlink for me is the price. It is very expensive, but you get what you pay for which is the gold standard of file management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to access media quickly and efficiently among a team of editors.
