Edit in LucidLink

  • June 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Real-time collaboration: It's the closest thing to having a NAS or physical server, but entirely in the cloud. Perfect for distributed teams.

Immediate access to files: You can start editing almost instantly, without having to download all your footage.

Seamless integration with professional workflows: Ideal for Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects, as long as everything is working properly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Total dependence on an internet connection: If the connection fluctuates or drops, the project may become inaccessible, disrupting the workflow.

Adobe Issues: In some cases, Premiere or After Effects may not properly recognize files or may throw errors when opening the project, which can be frustrating during critical delivery times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink is solving one of the biggest problems in collaborative editing: fast, organized access to large files without needing to be physically on the same local network.
Traditionally, working as a team meant sharing hard drives, using expensive servers, or relying on long transfers with services like WeTransfer or Google Drive. This created clutter, duplicates, downtime, and complicated logistics.

With LucidLink, all of that is simplified: files are available in real time to all team members, as if they were on the same computer, without having to download them completely. This has allowed me to start editing immediately, work with other editors remotely, and keep the entire project synchronized and organized.

The main benefit is that it speeds up the workflow and allows me to focus more on editing than on technical logistics, which is key in projects where time is limited and the volume of files is high. In short, LucidLink turns the cloud into a real work tool, not just a storage tool.

LucidLink: Effortlessly Powers Remote and Hybrid Teams

  • June 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about LucidLink is how seamlessly it transforms cloud storage into something that feels completely local. I can stream massive files, like 4K video or high-res design assets, instantly, without waiting for downloads or syncs. It’s a total game-changer for remote and hybrid collaboration. Our entire team, whether they’re across the office or across the world, can work on the same files in real time without any lag. It’s like having a global shared drive that actually works. On top of that, the zero-knowledge encryption gives us real peace of mind - we know our sensitive data is secure without sacrificing speed or usability. LucidLink has truly made our workflows faster, smoother, and more collaborative than ever.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, performance can depend on internet bandwidth - so if you're on a slower connection, large file streaming might lag a bit. But that’s more of a network issue than a LucidLink issue, and overall it still performs better than any other solution we've tried.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink is solving one of the biggest challenges in modern remote collaboration - fast, secure access to large files without needing to download or sync them. Before LucidLink, we were constantly dealing with slow file transfers, version control issues, and the limitations of traditional cloud storage systems. Now, our entire team can work on massive files in real time, from anywhere in the world, as if they were stored locally. It’s streamlined our workflows, eliminated delays, and made remote and hybrid collaboration feel effortless. On top of that, LucidLink’s zero-knowledge encryption gives us the confidence that our data is secure without compromising performance. The result is faster turnaround times, more efficient teamwork, and a lot less stress.

Efficient Global Collaboration, But Needs Improvement in Connection

  • June 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about LucidLink is that it allows you to work on the same platform and share content with people from various countries. I had never known before that you could have a platform where you can share work in this way, and honestly, I was surprised and pleased that it exists.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes LucidLink crashes when I use heavy programs like Premiere or After Effects. It's not just a problem for me, but also for my work group. This happens especially with heavy programs, which should be improved to prevent the programs from closing unexpectedly. Although it has happened to me a few times personally, it happens more often to my colleagues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink makes collaboration easier by allowing us all to work on the same platform, regardless of being in different countries. It solves connection issues and improves teamwork.

Acceptable

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It speeds up the remote workflow a lot, it is really intuitive to use and install, in fact, I use it every day. When we had problems, the support was efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is 100% necessary to pin work resources, I am a Davinci Resolve user and I would like to see an extension similar to the one you can find in Premiere.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The storage of really large video files, the ability to generate a folder structure and maintain order. But most importantly, being able to work collaboratively with multiple editors.

Efficiency in Video Editing with LucidLink

  • June 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about LucidLink is being able to pin files locally, because this makes editing much faster. It also quite solves the issue of managing large files, as we work with many files in the cloud and share them among several editors, which allows us to work remotely and efficiently without connection problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe that one aspect that could be improved in LucidLink is its interface with Premiere. Sometimes it has glitches, or sometimes the cache issue also needs to be cleaned because if not, it doesn't work quite well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink solves a lot of the issues with managing large files, allowing us to work remotely and efficiently without connection problems with so many files.

Great Alternative To Google Drive For Creators

  • June 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Most of my work revolves around creating videos. I noticed that my videos were experiencing compression while sharing them with my team, especially during multiple rounds of edits.

In my search to find a google drive alternative that didn't compress our video files, I found LucidLink. Not only is it easy to use, but it maintains the quality of files without compression.
What do you dislike about the product?
Download times and connection can be slow at times, but overall, I have very few issues with LucidLink and can't really complain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Avoiding file compression which is common among cloud sharing software.

LucidLink Changed the Way My Team Works Remotely

  • June 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is how LucidLink makes working with large files feel completely local, even though everything’s actually in the cloud. I’m part of a distributed creative team, and traditionally, syncing or transferring big project files (especially video) used to kill a lot of our time. With LucidLink, there’s literally no waiting—files are instantly accessible and stream in real time. It kind of feels like having a shared drive that just happens to live online, but without the lag or the clunkiness you’d expect. Also, the setup was way easier than I anticipated—no VPNs, no weird permissions mess, just install, sign in, and you’re good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, the biggest downside for me is how dependent it is on a stable internet connection. If your connection dips even a little, it can feel laggy or unresponsive—especially when scrubbing through high-res video files. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re on the go or working from places with spotty Wi-Fi. Also, the pricing can creep up a bit depending on how much storage you need. I get that it's a pro tool, but for freelancers or smaller teams, the monthly cost can feel a little steep.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For us, the main problem LucidLink solved was version chaos and file transfer delays across a remote team. Before this, we’d waste hours uploading, downloading, and syncing assets, especially for video projects. Someone always had an outdated version or had to wait on a file to finish syncing. LucidLink basically turned our cloud storage into something that behaves like a local drive. Now we can all work off the same files, in real time, from different locations, without having to constantly check if something’s been uploaded or not. It’s honestly made our workflow way more fluid and has cut down on a ton of unnecessary back-and-forth.
