Truly disruptive

  • October 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Using LucidLink for the first time felt like magic! It is truly a disruptive tool that opens up so many possibilities for working remotely. It has completely changed my approach to remote collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to think of something I dislike. The only issue I encountered was with a coworker who didn't immediately understand that they needed to keep their computer on longer to complete the upload. They assumed that just because I could already access the material, they could shut down their machine. Perhaps something in the UI that makes the upload/sync process even more obvious could help prevent this confusion. But honestly, this is a minor point
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the critical problem of downtime when teams are shooting on location. I can review footage and catch issues while there's still time to reshoot. LucidLink also enables instant collaboration with anyone globally, even with huge files. This has eliminated costly delays and expanded who I can work with dramatically

Reliable Performance with Easy Setup, Needs a Better Dashboard

  • October 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate LucidLink for its clean interface and the quick setup process that makes it easy to get started. I find its performance to be very reliable, which is crucial for our needs. What truly stands out is how it simplifies teamwork, allowing multiple users to access and edit files instantly without issues related to version updates, which enhances collaboration significantly. I also value its S3 compatibility, making it versatile and suitable for integration with other applications, such as Veeam for backup solutions and devices that manage video files. This functionality makes it a robust storage solution. Furthermore, LucidLink has revolutionized the way we handle remote file workflows, offering a level of security and efficiency that was not previously available. Overall, these features and capabilities make LucidLink a valuable tool for our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the dashboard of LucidLink should be clearer and more user-friendly. It needs enhancements to allow users easier access and collaboration on large files directly from the cloud, showcasing all necessary information more visibly. Additionally, the current interface doesn't fully support customization, as I would like to create our own customized dashboard to better monitor and manage the usage of cloud storage and user access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find LucidLink enhances remote file workflow by providing secure, efficient access, allowing multiple users to edit files without version issues, thus simplifying teamwork.

Great for remote editors!

  • October 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Excellent collaboration for sharing files without having remote editors downloads 100s of gigabytes of files.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have times when the drive would not mount or get hung up. I'd have to restart the service. Also, the offline file management is functional but limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Serious delays in the editing process by needing to send and have editors download individual files, especially when files are large.

Eliminates duplication, gives us much more control and makes collaboration much better.

  • October 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We're talking real-time collaboration, being able to manage multiple file folders (filespaces) from just one account, and honestly, the interface redesign is way more user-friendly. And check this out: with TeamCache, the speed is just insane for big teams—it practically eliminates lag when a bunch of us are working from the same office or network, which I found genuinely exciting, you know? Plus, I really respect how much they care about compatibility: full support for Windows as a service is huge for our Continuous Integration servers, plus automatic proxy detection, and the integrations with third-party apps like After Effects, ShotPut, and Premiere are massively improved.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did run into a couple of annoying things with extended attributes on macOS; those can cause hiccups if you rely on specific metadata or have older integrations running.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We ended up implementing LucidLink to centralize all our software and technical docs, making sure everyone could access them from their remote locations. The biggest win, honestly, was everyone working in the same environment, so we weren't dealing with duplicate files or stressing over using old versions. After the TeamCache upgrade, we saw a huge jump: latency dropped by damn near 40%, and shared binary file commits (like builds or libraries) synchronized instantly. The stability on Windows as a service is rock solid; the system just remounts the filespaces after reboots without us having to touch anything.

Simple and performant, but expensive

  • October 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's simple to set up and easy for users
What do you dislike about the product?
They've increased the price significantly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have many freelancers working with us remotely using their own workstations and LucidLink makes it easy for them to collaborate with our staff employees without shuttling data back and forth and the logistics associated with that.

a good working tool for remote work

  • October 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how seamlessly LucidLink integrates into our workflow. It feels like working with local files even though everything is stored in the cloud. The speed and reliability are impressive, and it makes collaboration between remote team members much easier. The setup is straightforward, and it saves a lot of time compared to traditional syncing solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes large file previews can take a bit longer to load, especially on slower connections. Also, the pricing could be a bit more flexible for smaller teams or freelancers. Other than that, it’s a great tool that keeps improving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink solves the problem of accessing and working with large files stored remotely without having to constantly download or sync them. It allows our team to collaborate in real time from different locations, which is especially valuable for projects with big media assets. It saves a huge amount of time and storage space on local drives, and helps keep our workflow smooth and efficient.
