Best cloud based file storage in the market
What do you like best about the product?
our company uses Lucid link company wide. we have a lot of team events and obviously that comes up with media coverage, photos, videos etc. The best feature I like about lucid link is that it enables teams to work on large files simultaneously from different locations, improving productivity.
We are a marketing company so we always have huge media files to store, lucid link takes care of it seamlessly.
We are a marketing company so we always have huge media files to store, lucid link takes care of it seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since it's cloud-based, a strong and reliable internet connection is essential for smooth operation. Poor internet connectivity can affect performance.Unlike local storage, LucidLink’s functionality is limited if you need to work offline, which can be a drawback in situations with unreliable internet access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Works across various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), making it versatile for different team setups. Not all software is compatible or work in the same capacity as they would in all operating system, but Lucid link does the work.
Perfect solution for limitless collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I love how LucidLink mounts like a physical drive & I can work on any software in a collaborative environment that works on my system drive. I like how I can view any asset without downloading it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The number of Wasabi & IBM servers is good but the latency and upload-download speeds are not as good as say, Frame.io.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Luicdlink solves the problem of remote collaboration by providing centralized storage that can be accessed worldwide. It is like having a NAS up in the cloud. When connecting the Luicdlink cloud drive to other apps like Google Drive and frame.io it becomes the single source of all data coming in & going out of the post-production environment.
An excellent platform for sharing media quickly and widely
What do you like best about the product?
Fantastically fast, no waiting about for files to scan or index, once you start uploading a file to Lucid it becomes visable for the other team members. The ability to get granular with user permissions is also a big plus, being able to say that Team 1 get read and write permissions to a folder but Team 2 only need Read access is great from an accountability side, also means we can limit the amount of 'sticky fingers' from accidentaly deleting something and control who has access to what.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we see a performance decrease when playing back files in DaVinci Resolve if those files are in a pinned folder, and the folder is actively being uploaded to by another party. This is only because we rely on pinning for sites that don't have super fast internet all the time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned before with the scanning, we use another system for moving around TB's and TB's of data, which takes hours to scan and become available, but with lucid once we start uploading a file to Lucid it becomes visable for other team members without the need to wait for an additional scan.
Fast, Easy, Reliable
What do you like best about the product?
No lag, quick and easy transfer of files.
What do you dislike about the product?
Group sharable linked files with clients
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
cloud storage and collaborations with co-workers
Incredible workflow and a game-changer for our remote company, needs a mobile app.
What do you like best about the product?
The work-flow for our all-remote company has been a game changer for our team to easily share projects without having to transfer data. Not to mention, the affordability of a small company using a tremdous amout of video and animation data like ours.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not a mobile app. As the Creative Director I'm not always at my computer, but still need to access files for review from my team. Although I realize that a full Lucid app would not be possible with the amount of data that we have for projects, it would be nice to be able to access some links for approval purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We no longer have to send physical drives when sharing editing and animation projects between our employees.
Reliable
What do you like best about the product?
Quick synch of assets in all my computers
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes connection is weak and slow. Mostly okay though
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All editors have the shame source material eliminating the need of hard drives
Lucidlink changed the game for cloud collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to collaborate with my team and share files instantly is our main reason we love it. Also the fact you can pause in a project in one place and pick right back up from another location is critical in this world now. Or have a team member handoff an ongoing project to another and its all there as they last had it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently there can be some lag when working in more robust platforms like After Effects, etc. but that is to be expected honestly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This solved our issue of having to upload and download to a cloud server in order to share assets. Also having to import those downloaded files into Premiere and have a local folder for all as well. Lucidlink makes the entire server experience fluid and efficient.
Best cloud NAS around
What do you like best about the product?
Easability to share files back and forth to multiple people
What do you dislike about the product?
Only really downside is that its speed is based on your own internet service, the slower it is on your end, the slower things will be. Would also like some sort of notification if an upload fails other than seeing the icon in finder.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multiple video editors across the US can now access the same video
Perfect replacement for SharePoint data archives
What do you like best about the product?
we are using LucidLink with Wasabi to store archive data once we we are finished with it in SharePoint, it honestly could repalce sharepoint all togheter, its fast and easy to use
What do you dislike about the product?
we have not found anything to dislike about lucidlink
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
one of our new clients was running out of space on SharePoint for file storage, yes we could purchse more SharePoint storage, but at a much higher cost, LucidLink helped fill the gap, we now use this for archive of previous years data
Game-changing file storage for video editors
What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink's block-level streaming technology is an incredible boon for video editors looking to share large files. We can collaborate as a team on footage as soon as it starts uploading to the drive, and we have been able to utilize our own Cloud Storage platforms that scale with us as needed. This is so much better than an on-prem server, requires less maintenance, and allows editors from all over the world to access our footage.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike, other than latency issues on slow internet connections. This is to be expected, and can be mitigated by pinning particular folders to your cache if your connection is slow. Overall this limitation is expected with the technology.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink is helping our distributed team collaborate on files for video editing purposes to editors that are thousands of miles away from our studio.
