It gives you cloud storage that feels like a local drive!

What do you like best about the product?
Ever since I started using LucidLink, the thing that’s absolutely hooked me is being able to work with these huge files as if they were sitting on my local machine—no waiting around to download the whole thing first. In my engineering team, when we’re dealing with massive video assets or heavy design proofs, skipping the synchronization wait is a game-changer. LucidLink literally streams just the file block you're editing, which makes testing workflows insanely fast. I also really value the security: they use zero-knowledge encryption, so the data is locked down, and even LucidLink can’t view it. That’s huge peace of mind when handling sensitive info. Their system for snapshots (version recovery) and permissions has also been clutch; I’ve restored overwritten files with just a couple of clicks when someone messed up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The big drawback is that with crappy internet connections, the experience goes downhill fast. You definitely see lag and latency, especially with 4K files or huge video timelines. I’ve noticed some serious delay when scrubbing the playhead in Premiere if I haven't 'cached' or 'pinned' the content locally beforehand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On a recent project, our design and video production crew needed remote collaboration for an ad campaign with super heavy assets: raw footage, 4-5 cameras, audio, After Effects graphics. Before, every editor downloaded clips, versions got messy, and relinking was a constant headache. With LucidLink, we just spun up a shared filespace: everyone accessed the files directly, and editors opened sequences instantly. I 'pinned' the most-used directories for everyone, caching those core assets locally while the rest stayed in the cloud. The result? A graphic update by one person is visible to three others immediately. A review cycle that used to take hours to coordinate is now done in minutes. That’s a massive win!

Seamless Local Drive Experience, but Beware of Backup Risks

  • October 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It works just like a local drive. I rarely think about it after setting it up.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’ve been burn badly by not having a project backed up daily off of LucidLink when the whole service went down.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s letting me collaborate with multiple separate jobs at once from anywhere with a solid internet connection.

Best-Priced Cloud Storage with Generous Space—No Complaints!

  • October 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The amount of cloud storage space you provide to users. Bar none better priced than any other competitor that I know. Lucid link is very user friendly. We have not had any issues that required us to contact customer support for any reason. I use Lusid Link nearly every day. Also we had no problem installing on to our system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any dislikes about lucid link.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid link makes it alot simpler for me to get much needed files to my employees. All I have to to is uplad and remote acess other pc's to get the files where they need to go.

Effortless Setup, Major Improvement Over OneDrive

  • October 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate LucidLink's easy setup process. It was simple to install with great support from their reps. The product doesn't strain our machines unlike OneDrive, resolving our syncing issues effectively. The proactive, responsive LucidLink team has enhanced our experience with attentive support and valuable service features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the time-intensive nature of setting up permissions in LucidLink. Entering user permissions individually, rather than being able to assign them to a whole group at once, is cumbersome and laborious. This makes the process unnecessarily lengthy, especially when dealing with a large number of users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink solves file length issues and data syncing problems, enhancing file sharing with external parties. It eases machine load unlike OneDrive, improving collaboration and preventing workflow slowdowns, crucial for our work.

Cloud-native and engineer approved Lucidlink

  • October 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidlink redefines the way we collaborate on cloud content in environments where agility, data integrity and scalability are non negotiable. Lucidlink's cloud content collaboration feature stands out because it is not just about remote access, it is about enabling real time, secure and structured teamwork across my distributed teams. It's ease of use helps me to stay productive and focus on important tasks rather than getting bogged down by storage logistics.
What do you dislike about the product?
while lucidlink offers a lot of strengths in cloud collaboration and scalability, there are a few areas where I think it could improve particularly from an engineering and workflow standpoint. There could be noticeable latency when accessing or syncing data when working with large files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidlink is dynamic and scalable storage. As projects evolve and data volumes grow, lucidlink adapts seamlessly. I dont have to worry about provisioning storage ahead of time or hitting capacity limits mid-project. It is like having elastic storage that grows with my needs and perfect for iterative development cycles and large datasets. Lucidlink also shines in backup and redundancy. the snapshot and cloning capabilities are incredibly useful for version control and disaster recovery.

Supercharges Workflow with Ease and Speed

  • October 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how LucidLink simplifies collaboration across different locations, making it easier to work with editors worldwide. The G2 version's installation is quicker without needing extensive tech support. The platform drastically speeds up editing processes by avoiding file syncing issues found in other cloud providers. The pricing structure and shared links feature are significant improvements, allowing easy sharing with external vendors without them needing to install the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the initial setup of LucidLink to be quite challenging. The first version required delving into system settings on macOS, which wasn't ideal for us. Although the newer G2 version has simplified this process, initially, it was a barrier that made us hesitant to engage with the platform. Additionally, the pricing model, while improved, still requires careful consideration to find the best fit for our needs. Finally, it's apparent that LucidLink could benefit from a user tier feature for collaborators who don't need full access rights, allowing them to use files without uploading or editing, which would optimize team collaborations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink facilitates remote collaboration by creating a system drive, eliminating the need to sync files, and drastically speeding up our workflow. It saves us considerable time, enhancing efficiency.

Gave our industry incredible WFH capabilities with Petabytes at our displosal.

  • October 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What we love about LucidLink is how it transformed an industry that was never built for remote work into one that thrives on it. By letting creative teams access massive files instantly from anywhere, LucidLink turned “you have to be in the studio” into “you can be anywhere.”
What do you dislike about the product?
As long as everyone is within the same continent, it's fantastic, there's no CDN localizing data for reigons other than your main AWS, so if you're trying to allow an editor in APAC access, they are going to have a bad time.

Cost, they frequently adjust prices and their billing structure, also removing Wasabi hurt a lot of indie operations. Their current billing setup by focusing on per user, and pooling storage is the worst one of them all, I wish they'd undo and go back to their 2023 strategy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before, working with huge video or design assets meant local servers or long downloads from FTP servers. Now, teams can stream files instantly from the cloud as if they were local = no syncing, no waiting. It’s made quick turn around broadcast workflows seamless, enabling true work-from-anywhere collaboration without compromising speed or security.

A very unique software that solves my issues.

  • October 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1) The ability to access files anywhere, from multiple devices.
2) I don't have to download a file to edit it and afterwards upload it again into the system. I can edit it on my desktop and it saves automatically.
3) Fast and responsive support team. They even followed up multiple times when I didn't answer back.
What do you dislike about the product?
1) Sometimes it gets disconnected by itself.
2) At one instance, I was logged out from the system and was unable to login again. Turns out the system was experiencing an internal error. This was a bit troublesome because I use it for my work files, and the system error occurred within my working hours. However, the support team responded to my complaint immediately, and the matter was solved quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not having to download files to edit them.

LucidLink helps our video workflow

  • October 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Access anywhere you are. No need to download anything and sharable folders with freelancers. Very easy to set everyone up to use, not complicated. Their team are very easy to talk to and keep updated with new features, we wanted the option to move files between spaces and we were able to do that when they released that feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Usability is a little off, how pinning works and working with proxies in Premiere. There are extra features but I've not found useful yet.
Sharing links to files is also a bit messy, people have to copy and paste a link rather than being a clickable link to the file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not needing a SAN and server room. We can collaborate on projects as a team without sitting in the same office. We don't need to share physical drives. We can access files from anywhere, and even invite freelancers to work on the same folders.

Quick, Fluid & Save

  • October 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Link allows our team to work in two distinct locations without any latency. The saved files are updated almost instantly, so my partner can then open the file I just closed.

Lucid Link allows us to work without worrying about storage or the workplace. Our folders are accessible everywhere, even with a poor connection.

Finally, if by chance we make a mistake, the backup system is extremely efficient. Lucid Link has always allowed us to retrieve a previous version of a file overwritten during an untimely save.
What do you dislike about the product?
The classic LucidLink lacks the ability to share a file via a public link.
