Makes sharing projects remotely an absolute breeze!

  • February 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I work remotely with a larger team, having a seamless system in place to share project files that just works is crucial. Lucid has been the only program that allows for a post production workflow with multiple remote team members contributing. Works flawlessly once you know which settings it likes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucid for me has been spotty on its performance, especially with unpinned files. It's not usable for me unless all files are pinned, really low res proxies are used, as well as low res preview files and audio waveform generation is off. There are probably more checkboxes I'm leaving out but those are the main ones. I have extremely fast internet, so I was a bit surprised that I still had to do all these workarounds. Once all those things are in place tho the performance is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Video post production work flow with multiple team members working remotely.

  • February 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that LucidLink is cloud-based but also works like a local drive, allowing my team to share files in real time, which is a huge time saver. It's easy to work with Design software, and the files are accessible without the hassle of downloading and reuploading. The ability to connect from anywhere in the world is very beneficial for our team, as it supports both local and global collaboration. The initial setup was very easy, thanks to the tutorials and training provided by LucidLink. Overall, it's a great product for remote teams to work together with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some symbols in file names are not possible, which is a little frustrating due to some instances where it's required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink eases remote collaboration by acting like a local drive in the cloud, saving time on file sharing without downloading. It facilitates global team access and enhances workflow for design tasks, surpassing OneDrive in real-time file engagement.

What do you like best about the product?
The speed of file transfers and the ability to get to work immediately on a file is a game changer for some of our workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to be able to share a view only link with clients that they could comment / give feedback on like Frame.IO.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use LucidLink to allow a distributed group of editors to collaborate on video projects together. The fast transfer and ability to get to work immediately has improved our delivery times.
