Best Peer to Peer Server system
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's very easy to set up and use. It makes the process super simple to connect everyone to one drive space I find the system to be extremely valuable when it comes to working together in a team environment
What do you dislike about the product?
Hmmmm I honestly can't think of anything off the top of my head. I wish they moved into the drive space like how you have WD cloud drive option that you could purchase separately
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Definitely solving the ability to work via cloud collaboration as a team. I could be in one state and I highe ra contractor and give them access to the same project with login information. It's just a solid process
LucidLink is magic!
What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink has worked exactly OR better than sold/expected. The onboarding, knowledge of the product, support responsivness and easy implementation all favorites so far.
What do you dislike about the product?
The more local data center is not currently avaliable but performance has NOT been compromised. The current version of the LucidApp will only allow mounting 1 filespace. The next version (which i have seen in action) will allow more than 2 filespace mounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We recently merged with a smaller firm that had zero IT infastructure. We were having all of our newly merged employees remote in to a local workstation to work. Now LucidLink allows users multiple geographic locations to author in the same Revit model with out hosting our model in Autodesk's cloud solution. We will not be buying another SAN device for our production data.

What do you like best about the product?
Prior to LucidLink, our editors had a significant delay in uploading and downloading files in order to work with them in Premiere. Now that they work out of LucidLink, that time is minimized. Moving to LucidLink from Box was easy and straightforward. The interface is easy to understand since it mimmics a server.
What do you dislike about the product?
Installation of the control panel on a Mac is a bit cumbersome given the need to change security settings. This really isn't a fault of LucidLink but it is something to consider if your users are not very adept at changing system security settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Speed of file access.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and easy to explain to colegues makes sharing projects very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Rendering in app and pre rendering video files, I use it almost every day.
Uploading footage can take a while and makes it seem like videos are uploaded when they are actually still uploading.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use and files are always there when I need them. We use live files for editing and its great! Saves space
What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes struggle to log in for me, I usually have to run the app where as my other file storage service starts and connects without hassle

I like the flexibility of being able to ingest data from multiple devices

Currently it requires an IAM user if you are using AWS storage, ideally it could be an IAM role in the future

LucidLink aids us in ingesting data that is on-prem to cloud facilities without the need for expensive or complex third party tools. It "just works"
Absolute game changer for remote post production
What do you like best about the product?
The ablity to not have to manually download and upload video clips. Its like having a server in the cloud with ondemand accsess.
We use it everyday over sending hard drives in the mail.

What do you dislike about the product?
Kernel extension use on MacOS. Very hard to install for non technical users.

How to collaberate in a remote enviroment with very large video files.
Full-on Editing in the Cloud
What do you like best about the product?
The beauty of LucidLink is that you can be up and running with a team of editors around the globe in fairly short order. Simply uploaded my team's footage and I was up and running in very little time. And this goes for members of our team who were on the opposite side of the planet. If you have a good internet connection, you really can't beat the seamless and fast editing that we have been able to do with LL.
Additionally, their team were very response with any and all questions. Ive already had multiple calls with their friendly and very knowledgeable staff.

What do you dislike about the product?
The initial set-up with Mac OS machines with the M1 and M2 chips were a little less than ideal. Not difficult, really, but could initially make some hesitant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink is solving having to constantly ship drives to our editors. The solution is storage and editing in the cloud.

I like that no matter where my team is we can access and upload content. It helps us not have to worry about physical drives and the limit to space

Nothing so far it's been such a asset for my team!

How my team accesses content from different locations and having all our assets in one location
Lucid Link makes sharing video files among our video team a breeze.
What do you like best about the product?
It's fast, easy, and efficent. Everyone part of your file space has access to all the files uploaded. Great way to share large files too. We use it daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not really anything I dislike in particular. It's no different that a folder system on your desktop, although that may be confusing to some people. Once you get a lot of files on there, it may be difficult to find stuff.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm on our product marketing team. As a video editor, we use LucidLink as a centeral database to keep all of our files. We upload in progress and final files.
