Expensive but solid
What do you like best about the product?
It worked great to enable remote work for video editors in a variety of network conditions and physical locations. Once installed it was seamless for users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Costs can rise up very quickly when dealing with moderatly volumes of data (terabytes)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing remote work editors to collaborate with HD video on a central storage location that worked transparently for them
LucidLink is a great platform
What do you like best about the product?
I love the seamlessness with which I can access the files stoeed in LucidLink. I also love the way LucidLink manages the files to that things cannot be overwritten when multiple users are working.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one issue that I had with LucidLink was the user permissions. We needed a more fullfeatured permissions and user management platform that what was provided here. Our use case was not the traditional one solved for by LucidLink, which is why it was not a good fit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink was solving for our need to have an organized creative file management system

It was easy to setup my account and link into my company's server.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have to restart and reloginto lucid link whenever I lose power due to power outages which causes me to lose my cache.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
being able to sync projects across multiple states and countries.
Good alternative for remote teams
What do you like best about the product?
That's simple and easy to use, is really like using a separated drive in your computer
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the server speed is not perfect for things like video editing, even tho you have the option to ping things offline sometimes is not as convenient or fast, resulting sometimes in a faster workflow just downloading the media directly into the computer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working on remote thins, specially in video editing can be tricky, Lucid allows me to have the latest files updated in a single place without having to manually replace files. And share it in the same place with other team members.

What do you like best about the product?
Efficient, allows for global collaboration, intuitive, and any issues or errors I've had in the past have been easy to resolve.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need a strong internet connection, but I do think it's reasonable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows for a hybrid and/or remote workspace as well as global filesharing.

lucidlink is very good, it speeds up and makes working with video editing and audiovisual content much easier

At the moment I have nothing to complain about the platform

Had no issues and everything always worked. Drive was always visible and was always very responsive.

Life Saver!
What do you like best about the product?
Prior to using LucidLink we had a botched backup system via Dropbox and it made connecting to PR projects a pain in the ass. Now its super simple to access whatever files are needed at the click of a button
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to Lucid Link which doesn't even affect me is that you have to be online for it to work.

A core piece of a remote editing workflow
What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink has become the center piece of my remote editing workflow. With everything cached to a local drive, it acts as a local drive even though I am sharing it with at least one other editor or assistant. Together with Mimiq for Avid bin locking, it is as if I am cutting together with someone in the next room. I would not be able to work these past few years without LucidLink. It is more than worth what I pay for it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really are no downsides if you use it correctly. I pin everything to a fast local drive formatted APFS on my Mac so everything is smooth. Of course with anything like this the performance relies on fast Internet, which I have. So I have been very pleased with the experience. Ultimately I would like to see the ability to mount more than one filespace at the same time. But I have been told repeatedly that this feature is in the works and will be available soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to work in an Avid Project remotely with at least one other user at the same time. It is invaluable.
Long standing customer and great relationship
What do you like best about the product?
We have worked with them for years and they are consistant with billing and product.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isnt anything really as they ddo the job we need them for. We are clients from across the pond sop maybe time zone but that cant really be helped!

It is allowing us to have the support to intergrate cloud systems for ourr clients
