The initial setup was very easy and simple, contributing to its appeal.

Nothing

Best-in-Class Storage Collaboration: Fast Speeds and Smooth OS Integration

  • February 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidlink is one of the best storage collaboration services i have used here, I have used multiple other tools like google workspace, Microsoft 365, Dropbox, filecloud etc but this outperforms all of them with the upload/download speed and integration with OS.
What do you dislike about the product?
the only problem i see is it slows down when multiple users are using the same shared drive, with multiple i mean our entire team, It slows down gradually and substantially sometimes, Copying larger files starts with maybe 80-100Mbps and then goes to 10 Mbps sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
well it's primary use we have is to have our entire data centralized in one drive.

Sometimes it will drop out if someone is working from home though it is quick to resolve

A Creative Team's Game-Changer for Workflow and Collaboration

  • February 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the ease of use with LucidLink, especially how it allows us to pin files so they can be cached locally. This makes working on large projects with our video team just as fast as using a hard drive. It’s also great that LucidLink helps us to better manage data from freelancers and facilitate easy data transfer to freelance editors.
What do you dislike about the product?
We're on LucidLink Classic, and having each user give kernel access is not ideal. The initial setup was a little tricky in places having to give kernel access to each user. It also raises some alarm bells when you're having an external freelancer having to give over kernel access - we had one freelancer nearly refuse to work with us because of the security concerns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink saves us time by eliminating local uploads and couriers for video content. Pinned files improve access speed, and it simplifies data management with freelancers. It's as fast as using local drives.

Simple, reliable, and clearly the future of creative workflows

  • February 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- The user interface is simple and easy to navigate, and it’s great even for those who are less tech-savvy.
- It’s reliable and works consistently — our creative team use it everyday.
- Files stored on LucidLink load really fast.
- Integration with File Explorer and Finder makes it extremely convenient to use, especially the menu items like Pin and Share link.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s more expensive than competitors like Shade. It would be amazing if it included basic asset management features. The file pinning feature is good, but I can’t truly use it offline because I still need to mount the file space while online first before I can see any of my files, including the pinned ones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We’ve reduced storage costs, and we’re also wasting far less time uploading and downloading files, since staff can now access large files much faster.

Fast Access, Easy Collaboration

  • February 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how my colleagues can access the same files and spatial data without corrupting them using LucidLink. It's fast, and I can access files from anywhere, which is really helpful for our collaborative projects. The initial setup was very easy for my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the subscription tiers; you should be able to add more users without increasing storage costs, and vice versa. As a small company that's growing, this may be a problem in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LucidLink to avoid stale project files and corrupted GIS data. My colleagues can access files without corruption, access them fast, and from anywhere. It also saves us from sending project data via email.

Lucidlink has made my remote work so much easier for myself and my employer!

  • February 04, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it feels like a local file space, accessing files and also uploading content, specially for video editing, is super efficient and quick!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there more types of subscription plans, specially if you’re not necessarily working with a big team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s solving the issue of being able to work remotely and quickly! I recently moved back to my home country after working in the US for a while, and Lucidlink has worked wonderfully for my employer in the US and for me.

Effortless Collaboration and Access with LucidLink

  • February 04, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like LucidLink because it allows me to go anywhere and access my files without any latency, which is really convenient. I often work in different places and don't like carrying around hard drives, so it’s great that I can just go online with Wi-Fi and get my files to work from anywhere. I also appreciate that the initial setup for my team was very seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't come across any problem that could be improved. I would think probably with the bigger files, if I didn't use proxy, I think it would be a little more challenging. But I haven't come across any problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink provides a space to upload and access files online, eliminating the need to send hard drives. I love being able to access my files from anywhere without latency, making it easy to work from different places without carrying hard drives.

Lucidlinks use of blockchain for files meaning that everyone will see everything straight away.
What do you dislike about the product?
That we still dont have shareable links for files or folders
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its solved the problem of needing to be onsite at all times without having to sacrifice speed and useability.
