Revolutionized Our Remote Video Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I just love the ability to have one central location to store all of our content, whether it's stuff that we're capturing from the field or whether it's the editors working on it. It's a single place to store and distribute content. As a director or producer in the field, I can see what the editors are doing, and the editors can see what we're capturing in real-time. It's a real-time collaboration tool, and we don't all have to be in the same spot.
What do you dislike about the product?
No negatives!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LucidLink for remote video production and collaboration. It allows my remote team quick and easy access to content. Producers review content remotely, while editors work on dailies. It centralizes content storage and offers real-time collaboration without needing to be in the same location.

LucidLink solves the problem of swapping physical drives for remote collaboration, making it seamless and enhancing my ability to work quickly and effectively directly from my finder window.
LucidLink stands out for creatives trying to manage large data sets across team members remotely.
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that we can collaborate with team members remotely throughout the entire world and share & manage large data sets. Additionally, the ability to provision new team members and get them online with ease is helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are issues with unpacking compressed files or accessing certain files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not having to use a web-based SaaS provider to manage very large creative filesets.
Effortless Remote Collaboration with Minor Speed Hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
I like LucidLink because the UI is pretty simple, and it opens as a folder on my computer, which makes it straightforward to use. It simplifies things by allowing direct access to my files without needing to go through another software. I also found the setup to be pretty simple; I just installed it and it worked.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the speed, the fact that we have to select a server that is in between Los Angeles and Paris. Kinda slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink solves the problem of sending terabytes of footage and projects. It lets us work directly on the same project without mailing files physically.
Seamless Remote Collaboration, Lightning-Fast Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the speed of LucidLink compared to some other options we've used before. It's also great that I can pin the cache for specific projects, which helps my machine run a bit quicker. Plus, setting it up was so quick—it took just a few minutes, and then getting the team onboard was really fast too, just another ten to fifteen minutes. I'm quite happy with how easy and smooth the whole initial setup process was.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, we're using a third-party software to integrate it with the NAS, with Mass and Ology. But I think if they could have a better integration with that, that would be good because then you could use it as more of a backup for Lucid. It'd be cool if you could integrate to your NAS for more peace of mind for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LucidLink for seamless remote project work, solving our issue of accessing raw media files from anywhere without sending SSDs or slowly retrieving from Synology NAS.
Seamless, Fast Collaboration on Large Creative Files—A Workflow Game-Changer
What do you like best about the product?
What we like best about LucidLink is how seamlessly it fits into our day to day workflow without forcing our team to change how they work. As a marketing agency managing large creative files across designers, strategists, and external partners, speed and accessibility are critical. LucidLink gives our team the ability to open and work from files instantly without the delays of traditional cloud syncing or the headaches of version control.
The biggest difference for us has been collaboration. Our creative team can work on the same file structure in real time, whether they are in the office or remote, and it feels like everyone is connected to the same local server. That alone has eliminated hours of file transfers and reduced operational friction across projects.
Performance has been excellent, especially when working with large assets like video, high resolution graphics, and web design files. Setup was straightforward, and once implemented, it quickly became a foundational part of our infrastructure rather than “just another tool.”
If there is one area we are excited to see continue evolving, it would be even deeper administrative visibility and reporting so leadership can better understand usage patterns and storage behavior across teams. That said, the platform is already incredibly strong and continues to improve.
LucidLink has helped us scale more efficiently while keeping our team agile, and it has become a critical part of how we deliver work to our clients.

What do you dislike about the product?
One area we would love to see continue improving is administrative insight and reporting. As our team scales, having more granular visibility into user activity, storage trends, and workspace utilization would help leadership plan more proactively and optimize how we structure projects.
There can also be a small learning curve for team members who are used to traditional cloud storage platforms. However, once they understand how LucidLink functions, adoption becomes very natural.
Beyond that, our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The platform is reliable, fast, and clearly built with modern, distributed teams in mind. Most of what we’d like to see are enhancements rather than fixes, which speaks to the strength of the product overall.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink is solving one of the biggest operational challenges for modern agencies: fast, reliable access to large files without the delays, duplication, and version confusion that often come with traditional storage solutions.
Before implementing LucidLink, our team spent unnecessary time downloading files, re uploading assets, managing duplicate versions, and troubleshooting access issues across remote and in office employees. Those inefficiencies add up quickly in a fast paced environment where speed matters to both our team and our clients.
Now, our team can work from a single, centralized file system in real time. Projects move faster, collaboration is smoother, and we have significantly reduced the risk of version errors. It has also strengthened our ability to support a hybrid workforce without compromising performance or security.
From a leadership perspective, the benefit is scalability. LucidLink allows us to grow our team and client workload without worrying that our file infrastructure will become a bottleneck. Instead of managing storage logistics, our team stays focused on delivering high quality work.
Ultimately, LucidLink has helped us operate more efficiently, collaborate more effectively, and build a technology foundation that supports our long term growth.

Streamlined Video Editing with Instant File Access
What do you like best about the product?
I use LucidLink for professional team-based video editing because it allows me to work directly on large projects in Adobe Premiere and After Effects without needing to download the files. I really like the direct, on-demand access to large media without downloads or sync delays. This feature streams files only when they're needed, eliminating long prep times before editing and reducing local storage requirements, which is pretty helpful for me. The initial setup was also pretty easy!
What do you dislike about the product?
I think cache management and recovery after crashes. I suggest automatic cleanup of stale file locks after crashes. Clearer, more granular cache controls (and their visibility) and better diagnostics when performance degrades.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LucidLink for team-based video editing with large projects. It removes the need to download, sync, or manually manage files, offering direct, on-demand access and streaming of files. This reduces prep time and storage needs, enhancing efficiency with Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Seamless Collaboration for Remote Editing Teams
What do you like best about the product?
I run a small post shop, and LucidLink makes things super easy to share projects with remote editors, whether that's DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro. We simply sync things between our servers so that raw files stay on our secure servers, and our proxy files go up to LucidLink, and everything else is mirrored. Keeping a consistent directory across secure storage and LucidLink makes things really easy when we're conforming files for the end of a project. User management, file space management, everything is a lot more simplified with LucidLink v2. The mobile app is also a nice touch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Two thoughts here: One is that their billing is a bit complicated and I've had issues in the past with them getting it right, but they are always quick to address any issues that I have, so their support is great. The other is that I would like to have a Dropbox type feature where I could send a client a link and allow them to instantly upload to a specific folder on LucidLink without needing a user ID to log in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LucidLink for my remote editors, making it easy to work with people coast to coast. It allows instant syncing of raw files and proxy files (depending on workflow) and simplifies file sharing across NLEs and post-production pipelines.
