Analytics without a trade off between usability/capability
What do you like best about the product?
Getting up and running on Omni was a breeze and allowed for usuable analytics and reporting within the first few days of making the db connections. The Omni UI and user experience feels intuitive and self service reporting is very natural. Our organzation has some ops/business users and a few power users who can write SQL and neither one of these groups is underserved by Omni app. The Support experience so far has been unmatched and very responsive, technically capable, and genuinely interested in our success as Omni clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's been mentioned in other reviews but its early days for Omni and thus there are some rough edges on some product features, some things that you might find from more mature products are not yet available but on the roadmap. If you were to have very heavy provisioning and visibility restrictions for your organization it would be tough to accomodate at this stage, but I'm confident this is coming soon from the team at Omni
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Near real time visibility into critical business metrics, nimble and accessible for users of all SQL/Analytical backgrounds, ability to more widely communicate goals across the company via consistent and governed dashboarding while still allowing for indivuduals to experiment and develop new material.
Great for startups + excellent support
What do you like best about the product?
As someone without a background in data analytics, Omni has made it easy for me to understand the data I'm working with and gather meaningful insights quickly. We're a small startup and don't have a dedicated data team, so Omni helps fill that gap with a user-friendly product and high-touch support. Everyone I've interacted with at Omni has been super responsive to questions and comments, which I really appreciate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since the product is still relatively new, we sometimes run into the occasional bug or unexpected behavior. In my experience, the team has generally been pretty quick to roll out new updates, so I feel fairly confident the minor issues we've seen will be ironed out soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Omni gives us valuable company-wide visibility into growth, adoption, and product usage. It also provides a quicker learning curve for non-technical users when it comes to analyzing and pulling data (as opposed to learning SQL or requesting a query from our engineering team).
Easy to use, very fast and powerful tool
What do you like best about the product?
I am not a BI tool user nor a data engineer but am able to model data and create dashboards much easier than other tools we tried.
The tool is fast and responsive. The team is helpful and supportive and if you want get under the hood it's very easy to do so

What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly have not found one yet. So far issues I have run into have been with my own data. The tool loads up fast, shows useful error messages, and there is great docs and support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Omni is making it easier for us to merge and visualize various data sources. The tool includes a very helpful drill down feature that allows other users to dive deeper into dashboards or reports enabling them to address more operational or tactical questions. This second thing wasn't a use case I imagined when evaluating these tools and it's a very welcome feature.
Slick BI tool with a low code data model
What do you like best about the product?
The little to no code required to you to build a model and share it with your team is amazing. Instead of having to spend hours theory crafting a model you can build queries and have those outputs be pushed to the model all with a couple of clicks. This is far superior to other BI tools out there that rely on a central model.
What do you dislike about the product?
Omni is still very early on and thus there are features that it is missing compared to some of the incumbents in the space, but...that's not a dislike but seems worthy of this space in the review.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a large amount of json based user data which is normally pretty complex to model in a BI tool, especially for reusability. Because of Omni's ability to add on the fly dimensions based on json paths we can easily create a multi tiered json picker. Prior to Omni we had to spend at least a day on every new query we were building primarily because of the complexity of our json.
Cheap and effective.

They have made data analyzing so easy for us even without paying the fee upfront.
What do you dislike about the product?
The database is complex to use even for experts in programming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its helping us build our own data model trained on analytics we collect from our websites.
A great solution, getting better everyday and backed by one of the most knowledgeable team there is!

As a business user, it probably took me an hour to get used to the "Omni way" and start churning valuable insights for our business!
I used many BI tools in the past (the main one being Looker) and I was never sold into the wave of the "Data Visualisation" solution. Those expect you to know what the result of your analysis should look like before you even start. What I loved about Looker was that it was all about exploring to find valuable nuggets in your data, and if you found something good you saved it, you used it and you shared it.
So when we started looking for our Analytics solution, Omni was a natural choice. Omni goes a step further making these early analysis even easier in my opinion, as one doesn't need to wait for metrics to be available in a central model to start exploring data. It's super easy to create your own metrics or derive metrics from existing ones and start building super powerful insights quickly. If what I build's good, we just promote the new metrics into the model so they can be reused everywhere by all users. The combination of the workbook and modelled BI approach is very powerful.
The other thing that's most enjoyable about working with Omni is the team. They hit all the marks that you'd expect from a top vendor! Super responsive support, very friendly and helpful advices, new & super valuable features being released almost daily... it's a pleasure to see the speed at which the product is evolving.
It already a great solution, it's getting better everyday and you're supported by one of the most knowledgeable team there is - it is absolutely the best value-for-money one can find in the BI Market right now.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Omni helps me quickly explore my data to find valuable insights to drive my business. As head of sales and customer success, both product & sales analytics are required to make good decisions and it is hard to do without god data. The ability to myself explore, create my own metrics and visualise them quickly is great.
The second aspect that Omni helps me with is creating actionable dashboard/product for my team. We want to monitor a number of operational KPIs and being able to share these with the team on a recurring basis so they can go action what's required of them is crucial.

A Compelling Approach to Self-Service BI
What do you like best about the product?
Omni allows for easy development and analysis without having to stop and switch between different working environments. It creates an experience of constant interaction that doesn’t slow down when you want to go outside of what is available in the data model.
What do you dislike about the product?
The team is young and moving quickly so there are some features that still need to be developed but the team is great about communicating plans and keeping users in the loop.

Great tool and amazing support
What do you like best about the product?
Hands down, the things that separated Omni from the other vendors are their approach to analytics and the support we received through the buying journey. See a demo and do a PoC and see for yourself. Highly recommend.
What do you dislike about the product?
We don't have any dislikes about Omni worth noting here. If we have product feedback, it's given to the Omni team. They address all feedback.

Omni is helping us organize, visualize, and analyze our data so we can understand our customers and business. The tool is an extension of our data and revenue operations teams and scales their efforts to keep the business informed with the latest insights and a place to do further probing into the data, when necessary.
