PhishER - The good and the bad.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that people can report potentially dangerous emails to IT. We can then determine if they are legit or not. If others are getting/reporting them. We can do a search within 0365 for similar emails and quarantine them. This also raises red flags for the team to move forward and block a certain email address, links, or attachments going forward pertained to what was reported. The end users have the power to help us do our job better and faster to reduce overall risk.
What do you dislike about the product?
The PhishER product is excellent, and we use it daily. My only issue now is that the results are not 100%. We have tested the solution and have found problems with it. We have reported these; they have been replicated, and still waiting on a fix. Another item I don’t like is that the scan of emails limits us to 2 solutions. Virus Total or PhishML. It would be nice to have other options. Also, Virus total is not working correctly, and we have another ticket on that one it’s a know issue with KnoweBE4 software, according to Virus Total. So, in summary, it’s a great tool that needs a bit more tweaks and a few more options to make it even better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making us aware of phishing attempts early on allows us to act quickly and deal with them immediately. The PAB also gives our users a new tool to help them make the right decisions on certain emails VS them trying to see the signs on their own. This lowers overall risk.

What do you like best about the product?
The automation and support we get from our Customer Success Manager. Max is AMAZING. Everything is easy to use, and items are easily actionable in the console if any manual intervention is needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't found a dislike yet. Everything is working well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lack of user knowledge, automating Phishing emails so our support desk doesn't need to action them. Which is HUGE.

What do you like best about the product?
The automatic resolution, PML has saved lots of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product has been very easy to use and I have no complaints at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PhishER has resolved many user reported emails and allows us to react quickly to those not determined by PML. It has made it much easier to analyze registered emails and use PhishRip in our environment.

Easy to use and great information

What do you like best about the product?
PhishER gives a great amount of relevant information about each email reported. The automatic classification by PhishER helps to determine what types of emails are being reported and makes it easy to take action on each one. The resultant data provides enough information to generate relevant reports which are then used to tailor training for the end user on how to use the Phish Alert Button.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a fair number of miscategorized emails by the AI. The process of manually going through each email can be a little tedious, but is necessary to get relevant data for reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PhishER is helping us to pinpoint where we need to focus our training. Right now, it is allowing us to see how to train users on the Phish Alert Button so we can stop getting spam reported instead of phishing emails. It also helps to see who is using it and how so we can provide training or positive feedback where needed. We are using the Phish Rip utility to populate Phish Flip which takes actual phishing emails and converts them into templates we can use for training.

What do you like best about the product?
We are beginning the process. Our CFO was sent a phishing email recently and reported. I explained that this may have prevented a total take down of our shool. She was excited.
What do you dislike about the product?
Just a little overwhelming when you start.

Providing training to help prevent future compromise.

What do you like best about the product?
Beautiful dashboard with easy-to-read metrics. Makes finding issues and solutions into a visually easy task. The overall feel is one that speaks of a serious but simple interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can give a false sense of visibility. There is no way to indicate or understand the blind spots. Much like any other tool, wherever it shines a light is where it looks, and the rest is lost to shadow. This is not a specific critique of PhishER, but rather a warning for all security pros using a specific tool as their only window into malicious activity of any particular sort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility into the prevalence of phishing attacks and campaigns on my staff and domains. As noted, the dashboard and information it gives are a great insight.

What do you like best about the product?
PhishER automates the review ofquestionable email. This reduces the burden on staff to do so manually. With limited resources, it enables us to effectively screen reported phishing attempts.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike about PhishER. There is always room for improvement, and I suppose the user interface could be a little more intuitive and cleaner, but as far as functionality goes it is very effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sorting through spam and phishing attempts.

What do you like best about the product?
Provides an integrated way for users to report suspicious emails and saves administrators time through automated AI evaluation and response.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as much a dislike as a potential enhancement. As such, I wish we could control the PhashAler Button Pop-Up confirmation timer control. It is swift to disappear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Educating our employees is the most significant benefit for sure. The content is excellent, and the management control panel and reporting make it easy to administer.
