I am loving Prophix
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using the line item detail. It is extremely helpful when trying to stay organized. We have many vendors we use so being able to list them individually with the invoice amounts is a major plus! The detailed planning manager is also an amazing tool. All around, I am enjoying Prophix. It is extremely user friendly. I have very little training since I started using the software a little over a year after my team implemented it and I feel like an expert!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Prophix and Workday communicated well. We use Workday for accounting and are having a tough time getting actuals to integrate from Workday to Prophix. Therefore, I manually am uploading the Prophix data into Workday and we don't have actuals in Prophix at the moment. This makes trend very difficult to review when you have data in two different places. I am hoping this is something that can be easier in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Budgeting is a much easier task with Prophix. I also enjoy using the detailed planning manager. It is much easier to budget for personnel. This has saved so much time and energy! It does help keep me organized since headcount is the hardest piece to budget in my opinion. With so much movement within our departments, the detailed planning manager piece is so helpful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I enjoy using Prophix. If you are looking for an easy to use budget system, this is the one!
An effective budgeting tool
What do you like best about the product?
The formatting in Template Studio works like excel so it is easy to understand and work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a few functions that need improved. For instance there is no ability to add dollar signs $ to the badges on the dashboard
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company used to use excel worksheets to perform all of our budgeting tasks which took accountants and directors 1000+ hours to perform. Prophix now saves us that time and we are able to do more analytical work instead.

Prophix software is very user friendly, great for budgeting and adaptable to your organization’s needs.

N/A. The software is continually being enhanced and improved based on the needs of their consumers

The budgeting process is quicker and more efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good tool and product for reporting, dashboards, budgeting, etc. If you’re looking for multiple options and the ability to innovate and grow in deliverables, then this is a good choice.
Budgeting & forecast solution with amazing customer services and user friendly applications
What do you like best about the product?
Prophix is a solution that is all about the users. The software is extremely user friendly and easy to implement. The customer service team is responsive and motivation to help provide a timely solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is very little to dislike about the software, there are minor bugs that pop up with in the system however the support team is continuously fixing them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prophix was originally mention to be our budgeting solution. It took us out of a cycle of excel spreadsheets. Over time our use of Prophix has grown greatly. We also use the software for a rolling forecast, statistical analysis, financial reporting and more. Recently we have automated our monthly and annual financial reports.

What do you like best about the product?
Prophix has reduced the Finance's departments dependency on excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the dashboards had more capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No more deleted links in excel. No more double checking a spreadsheet to ensure numbers were keyed accurately. Instant budget updates.

What do you like best about the product?
User friendly, able to input all levels of detail and multiple drill across options to see all details. Able to easily build complex processes and allocations.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've found that when we run into issues, we aren't always given detailed reasons as to why the issue occurred. The issue is always resolved eventually, but we'd like to know more in order to troubleshoot better ourselves. This often happens with our month-end data loads (actuals & budget).

Reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. We've been able to use this to streamline our forecasting and budgeting processes.

Prophix is a great dynamic reporting/forecasting/budgeting tool

The flexibility of the system allows for uses company wide, even non financial

The implementation of the system can be challenging from initial setup to ongoing development

Automated reporting to field team members, semi-automated direct and indirect forecasting
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Clearly identify what you're desired end states are for the system prior to implementation. Clearly defined outputs will help direct the build out and subsequent rebuilds

Have a super admin who is very involved in implementations who will hopefully stay with the organization long term. Use the customer support program.
