Prophix: Do it all financial software
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how user-friendly the system is. Onboarding new users is faster than some other software I've used in the past because of how intuitive the interface is. The financial reporting, planning and budgeting tools are what drew us to the software and Prophix offers a complete, comprehensive suite of tools for all of these needs. I've only had very positive experiences with customer support and the staff seems to be extremely friendly. My department uses this tool daily and it has been a success story with our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more of a focus on financial projections and predictive budgeting. Prophix has some tools capable of this but none have been able to replace our Excel models just yet. Machine learning seasonality would be a huge benefit to expense spreading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data management and report building. Our dataset is very large and the dynamic drilling and heirarchies allows us to get to the exact intersection we need faster than a flat file ever could. The dashboarding feature has been a great tool for executives who need a quick snapshot of how their department is preforming without the hassle of searching through emails.
Prophix: A Fantastic Solution for all of your Reporting & Budgeting Needs
What do you like best about the product?
Prophix is very easy to use (both for those that work in finance and outside of finance), the company offers great customer support and is always available when we have issues, and we are excited that Prophix is continuing to invest in additional features (such as AI). We look forward to all the great things we will continue to do with this tool!
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the dashboards could use some improvement (we do most of our graphs in Excel due to the limitations in Prophix), some reports are not very usable right when they are downloaded and require manipulation in Excel, and it would be great if we were able to access invoices/other support directly in Prophix rather than having to go outside of the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prophix makes our planning process much easier by allowing users to directly enter their budgets in the tool. Additionally, we run all of our expense allocation calculations within the tool (these used to be in Excel).
Robust and Flexible Product with Great Support
What do you like best about the product?
Overall robustness of the product and ability to provide solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Complexity of setup. It can be a hard software to set up and learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Prophix for our monthly WIP, montly financials, cash flow projections, and budgeting and forecasting.
Very easy software that allows for manipulation.

You can run adhoc reports any way you like

I can't think if anything at this time. I don't have any.

Prophix Makes Financial Management Easier
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how intuitive Prophix is for financial planning and reporting. The interface is clean and user-friendly, which makes it easy to build and manage budgets or forecasts. Plus, the automation features save a ton of time, especially when it comes to consolidating data across multiple departments or business units. It’s also flexible enough to tailor to specific needs, which is great for companies of different sizes and industries.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I’d say could be improved is the initial learning curve. While the interface is user-friendly, some of the more advanced features can be a bit tricky to get the hang of without proper training. The setup process can also be a bit time-consuming, especially if you’re trying to integrate it with other systems. Once you’re past that, though, it works really smoothly!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of managing complex financial data from multiple sources and consolidating it in a way that’s easy to analyze. The automation of routine tasks, like report generation and data entry, has saved a lot of time and reduced human error. The direct connection with CMIC has been life changing.

Some minor quality of life things, like filter columns in a report.

Solid Product and Great Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
The overall functionality and robust solutions the product offers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit of a steep learning curve up front to learn how to build out the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Prophix for our monthly WIP reporting, all our financial reporting and budgeting and forecasting. We also implemented a number of dashboards for our executives and managers.
Amazing support and implementation
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Prophix Software is that it has made our closing process more efficient, allows us to centralize all of our data (not just financial), and that the support team has been excellent. No matter who I have interacted with whether from sales, onboarding, support, or programming, ALL of them have been patient, kind, and professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing bad to say about Prophix. Genuinely love the software;.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem that Prophix is solving for us is it is centralizing all of our data and allowing us to compare data much faster.
Prophix Depends on the size of the company
What do you like best about the product?
I would say that the version control and the amount of features are the biggest pros to this software. Prophix customer support is always available and helpful. The software is also used by managers to check the status of their budgets on their time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't believe that Prophix is the easiest software to use. The UI of this system could use some work. Implementation was a long process and I don't believe it was handled correctly with my team, as most team members were not involved in the implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main issue that Prophix solved is allowing us to have better version control of our budgets and forecasts. This is allowing us to close quicker and have one source of the truth. We are also able to spend more time on other things because managers are able to see the transactions instead of asking the finance and accounting department for a listing of transactions.
