Prophix automates reporting with powerful functionality
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to generate data models is easy and flexible. The Ad Hoc reporting capability is very useful. The automation of workflow and copying data with Infoflex is powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Building reports isn't intuitive and it isn't easy to make changes to reports. The dashboard and graphing capabilities are just average. Customer service is rationed and it isn't always easy to get your issue taken care of quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We automate our management and board reporting and our forecasting and budgeting. We have reduced the time we have to spend on these activities by at least 50%. We also have reduced errors in our reporting.

I wish that you could view invoices within Prophix itself.

I am helping improve our expense planning, appropriately classify items. etc.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to build custom automated reports and the accessibility to do so as well. Their customer service is amazing as well. Comparing this to just the base system we use for accounting is not even there
What do you dislike about the product?
Just diving in and seeing all of the capabilities of this software at first is difficult. It is probably not a prophix issue because they are always offering more training and services but more of an issue of me making time

We use prophix for actual to budget analysis and it is an easy tool to drill down on certain items, easy to use reports and ability to present this to senior management

It is straightforward to use, and the Prophix support team will be there to help you all along the way

I like the ability to create our own reports to pull as much or as little information as we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike is the lack of information when there is an error from running a report. Usually, it doesnt take long to figure out, and the Prophix support team is always available to help as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prophix has given us a way to create clean and detailed month-end/year-end financial statements to present to the owner & president and to analyze how we are doing.

We recommend Prophix, especially the cloud version!

The best feature is the ability to create different dimensions, and accounts. This allows you to have endless possibilities for the types of reports that you can create and manipulate of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is often a slower period when many people are using it simultaneously. There are also knowledge gaps and areas of development (dashboard functionalities) that Prophix has not fully developed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to create customized reports catered to the business leaders and provide value to them in the way that they prefer and understand. Additionally, there is a growing need to have dynamic reports created without manual involvement.

Definitely opt in for the additional support from consultants and experts. They will help with customizing for long term success of your organization

Prophix has allowed us to streamline and improve our processes not only within the finance function but also within the wider business

Sometimes the MDX coding can be complex.

Initially, we looked to introduce Prophix as a budgeting software. But since we started the install, we are now using it to consolidate our multi-location business departments, including consolidating in multiple currencies

Try to have a plan of what you would like to use the software for, but be open to the great ideas that the support team may be able to come up with in other areas to support your business

What do you like best about the product?
Prophix has allowed us to have one source of truth for our Financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. It has taken us out of Excel "hell".
Before Prophix, we only completed plans once a year. Now we do a quarterly forecast and a yearly plan. It also allows all departments to participate in the Forecasting/Budgeting process without sending Excel spreadsheets/workbooks all over the Company.

What do you dislike about the product?
Have no complaints at this point. Prophix is quite good at taking the recommendations of their Clients and incorporating them into an updated version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I said earlier, it has made our Budgeting and Forecasting process much easier, but more importantly, it has made it, so everyone can be involved in the process and get their buy-in once the process is complete.
It also allows us to have ready-made reporting right at the user's fingertips so they can check sales, expenses, profitability, etc., every day if they want. They are much more in the know than previously.

What do you like best about the product?
Prophix Software has the ability to expedite financial reporting ... what was once a weekly has become a daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the missing templates ... expected there would be more in the library ... not so easy to create items from nothing ... better to start with something.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consistent and Timely reporting. Very good platform to share data on the daily.

Very good place to begin when the goal is to automate the Financial Reporting and Budgeting processes and reports.
