Canto to the Rescue
What do you like best about the product?
Canto has helped organize all of our digital assets in one convenient place that internal and external stakeholders can easily access. A simple upload process allows for less time spent on adding new assets to the tool and more time focusing on the more important aspects of my job.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to try and pinpoint noticeable negatives to this tool. It does everything I need it to do. If there was one thing that I could add to this tool it would be additional branding customization. There are current features that allow for this but taking it a step further would be ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used this tool for over a year now and have found it to be a noticeable upgrade from the DAM tool we were using previously. All of the feedback that has come in from internal and external users has been overwhelmingly positive. The organization the Canto provides to our digital assets has saved our company countless hours that have been better spent elsewhere.

Great for searching and tagging. Bad UI and upload speeds.
What do you like best about the product?
Tagging and search features make it easy for team member to find items. User permissions are great and very detailed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Upload speeds and user interface are terrible. Price is extremely high for amount of storage given.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralizing media and making it easy to share items. Videos uploaded to Flight are able to be played by all employees even without an account.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great if you need to let team search for items, permissions and security features are great. Not good for storing large files.
A simple, clean interface
What do you like best about the product?
Canto offers a clean, easy, intuitive interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
As everyone knows, the heavy lifting of any digital asset manager is in the setup of the product--luckily we had a plan and good partners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto provides the ability to create time-gated public links, making it simple and secure to share content with partners and vendors. No more FTP sites!
Excellent photo storage and organization system!
What do you like best about the product?
Flight is a great way to keep your photos organized and readily available. The software makes importing and tagging photos very easy, and searching a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the thumbnails would load faster, sometimes it takes a while to scroll down the page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have many events during the year, and Flight helps us to organize the photos of our clients, plus offers a great feature to share a select group of photos with them via a custom URL. It makes our lives a lot easier by having these features.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have a ton of photos that are getting lost in folders upon folders, Flight is the perfect solution.
Flight by Canto
What do you like best about the product?
The Canto interface is relatively intuitive, but does have a bit of a learning curve initially. The interface is very icon-based. All features are represented as icons and require hovering over to understand what the icon actually represents. One fantastic aspect of Canto is that it allows for locking down content very easily. The sharing settings are particularly robust and offer a variety of custom fields, expiration being a key field.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain aspects of the user experience are not great. There are a ton of icons and some of them that you think would mean one thing actually mean something else entirely. It is also not clear which folders or assets can be shared and how. I often find myself looking for where the share icon lives and find that I can't share certain folders or that I need to make certain selections before sharing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We as an organization have a wealth of content in every format you can think of. We use Canto to try to address how scattered our assets currently are across different storage applications like Dropbox, Sharepoint, our local network drive, hard drives, etc. Also, we're hoping to more easily be able to share the content with external partners as necessary.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The folder structure is useful. However, if that isn't necessary and it works out not to have such a clear delineation, I think Dropbox is just as useful.
Amazing creative asset management system for internal and external purposes
What do you like best about the product?
Flight's combination of simplicity, functionality, and price are really appealing.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven not found anything to dislike yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had files full of videos, photos, documents, and graphics, but no way of effectively organizing, tagging, sorting, and sharing that content - internally or externally - and with thousands and thousands of pieces of content, we were in desperate need of these options. We now are able to label and find content on the fly, offer up content to our partners and the media with ease, and are saving hundreds of hours that otherwise would be spent searching for and providing content to others. This product rocks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ask for a trial, the product will sell itself.
Flight!
What do you like best about the product?
Very functional and very easy to use, share and organize, just as advertised.
What do you dislike about the product?
One little annoying bug, where you are unable to select a different folder if you have anything selected in the active folder. A tiny detail but it can slow down a workflow dramatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to control what media is shareable and what is archived.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Makes an incredible difference thanks to how easy it is to share, and control content.
Functional, mostly-user-friendly database for photo storage.
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is incredibly streamlined & (mostly) user friendly. We have multiple departments who need access to our photo database, & because Flight is so streamlined, it is easy to train best-practices & maintain a clean database with little to no oversight. Being able to connect to other cloud-storage like Dropbox is also very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search functionality isn't very robust, and the most difficult aspect to train people on. I would love to see an 'advanced search' function that could search multiple terms in multiple, separate fields, without those fields becoming confused, instead of having to drill down within 'search within' results multiple times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a medium size org, and being able to host all our photos from all departments in one space (instead of searching across multiple physical & digital storage holds) has been incredibly helpful. It has streamlined our process & made it more efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We only use Flight has a photo database, & for that I think it works incredibly well. Because of the previously mentioned issues with the search functionality, I would be hesitant to implement it for something more complex (like project management), but it could work fine if you felt savvy enough.
Flight by Canto Changed How we Work
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite feature of Flight is how easy it is to work with. We have been able to take assets from across the different entities of our company and for the first time it is searchable, easy to use and all in one place. Time saving is fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the duplicate file find can be enhanced. With advance upload it doesn't yet catch all of the duplicates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our biggest problem solved is saving time. We used to have to look in multiple locations for assets and no longer. We also love that you can sent assets externally and with a quick link others can access what they need. File sharing is great. Another
