Experience is awesome! IR is very efficient, helpful and quick.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how when you type one word and everything related to that word comes up on one page. Also the mass upload where one can upload the info at once is really efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I really dislike but it would be more convenient if the Dropped products could be indicated from the thumbnails without actually going in the product because there is a big confusion sometimes and you have to go through each and every product to find out that it is in the Dropped folder.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anyone (accounts, sales people, customers, internal staff) who wants access to our Images can directly go to image relay and download the images without involving a person who has to put these images in a Dropbox folder and send it to them. Image Relay saves a lot of time and effort on the marketing team side.

olloclip Review of Image Relay

What do you like best about the product?
Very clean and easy to use. IR does a great job of thinking of the multiple ways you envision using a tiered access program and makes it affordable for even a start up company like us.
What do you dislike about the product?
It honestly works great to suit my needs. I would love to put more video on the site, but because of the higher file size I keep this site limited mostly to still imagery.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is a great application to segment out what you allow media, retail, distributors and internal teams to have access to when it comes to visual content. It puts the control of your brand back in your hands while allowing visibility to third party partners of what is current and available.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Keep it up! I continually refer your platform. It's rare to find a cost effective application for an asset management software. As long as you keep the price at this manageable pricepoint, you'll continue to have many small to mid size businesses joining your family.

Great functions, regular updates and great support

What do you like best about the product?
We are a government organisation dealing with new migrants and refugees, and have migrated from cumulus to flight for a more flexible and cost effective digital management solutions. My experience with flight has been great, canto offers regular updates and new releases which really strengthen the functionality all the time and their partner Databasics deliver great support and customer services. .
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the workflow functions need to be improved from a design and production point of view, we worked as a marketing and communications bureau which services the whole organization, without a proper mark-up function, it had made the collaboration a bit difficult when working with designers and copywriters.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since introducing Flight to the organization, it has great streamlined our digital assess management process, solved the problem of large file sharing, and made collaboration with external parties a lot easier than before.

What do you like best about the product?
It's great that our photos are stored in a central location and easy to find.
What do you dislike about the product?
When upgrades are being made, the system can be a bit slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storage and saving space. We are more organised and efficient.

Easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
It's so easy to organize everything with the folders, albums, and tagging capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little glitchy sometimes. When I go to create a link to share, it doesn't always create a link to the files I have chosen, but it will be the files from a past link I created.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A way to store and organize files (mostly photography).

Canto Flight is an efficient and competitively-priced DAM solution.

What do you like best about the product?
Canto Flight offers competitive pricing, Cloud-based storage, an intuitive interface, multi-platform access, customizable privileges, and efficient tagging/searching capabilities. The system can house any file type and allows you to: categorize assets in folders and albums, include descriptions on individual assets, link similar assets, include the same asset in multiple albums, set expiration dates, and send comments to other team members regarding assets. You can also set up lightboxes, called Collections, for a particular project or to share. It's very easy to use. Another plus is their customer service--we have had great experiences from the initial inquiry to the onboarding process, and even now we can contact our representative if we have any questions or suggestions, and we'll get a timely response.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our only frustration is that Flight's photostream is arranged by upload date, not date taken (which would need to be pulled from the image metadata). However, we have been in contact with our Flight representative and are told that this will most likely be an option in a future release.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am part of a small in-house team at a private university, and we are currently using the system to store our photography--we have thousands of photos. Flight has made locating and sharing assets so much easier and timely.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Schedule an interactive introductory conference call with a Flight representative to get an overview of the system, and then take some time to explore the demo version on your own. Make a list of your organization's needs and decide whether Flight is capable of meeting them.

    Medical Devices

Simple, easy to use interface for storing and accessing assets.

  • October 14, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy to click icons on the top of the page that navigate the user through the assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, I have not yet come across anything I dislike. As I use it more, I am sure there will be things that may come up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being an international company, we have assets store locally all around the globe. Sometimes we have issues accessing images from other business units/location. This on-line repository allows us to post and access assets from anywhere, any time.

Huge library now online

  • October 12, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The thumbnail views are terrific and allow us to feature some of our most attractive new images. Flight was easy to learn, and easy to work with - we had to ID about 30,000 photos and although this took some time, I can't think of an easier way to do this. Canto staff were always helpful and as we found features we would like, they have appeared in recent upgrades.
What do you dislike about the product?
A more robust permission system would have been useful, but we had the ability to set up our own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The client's existing photo library fro this DMO was beyond repair, and literally thousands of photos had never been properly cataloged and identified. We now have everything in one place, easy to access, and using the portal system we are able to reserve some of the newer material for in-house use. The photo library will be useful both for media and for client staff who may not have visited many of the locations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommend Flight by Canto for an on-line photo library. Next we will tackle using it for video.

Flight Experience

  • September 30, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Flight is fairly inexpensive, and they give educational discounts. I love that my photographers can upload remotely. Drag & Drop makes things easy to upload. Metadata travels with files, and tags can be searched.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not very user friendly. For instance, to simply 'select all' in a folder, you have to scroll to the bottom of all the files. However, only one page worth of files loads at a time, so it takes a minute or two to scroll completely down, then select, then import/add metadata, THEN you have to deselect to do anything else. It's just not set up easy....I also can't add the photographer's name to files, I can't rename files, I can't rate photos (to edit). This means I have to download all the files (takes ages with RAWS), then rename/add metadata, edit the photos, then reupload them to Flight (after deleting all the originals which means scrolling FOREVER). Sharing is also not easy...I work with raws, and I should be able to share different file types but not with Flight. You can only share that file type (they don't convert shared files to jpg). Again, I have to download, convert to jpg, reupload then send out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to be able to search files easily and have student workers tag photos with metadata. I need photos to be approved by uppper management and be able to easily share photos.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I believe they will start adding more features as they go. This is great for people wanting to simply store images, but not for editors that need a little more hands-on activity.
