Organization at my fingertips
What do you like best about the product?
The AI functions (facial recognition) feature is fantastic and very helpful.
The ability to share controlled links to outside vendors/clients is a big plus.
The ease in which we can rig a funtion for out needs that change our workflows and streamline them is unparalleled.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is NO UNDO button! I love that we can now remove assets from links but you guys could really take it home with the UNDO button. Simple benefit that would help every client.
Also, the cropping feature could use a lot of work. Being able to crop and output up to a 300mg file would be very helpful and a game changer.

Organization and ease of distribution for my company and clients.
Our adoption and usage of Canto continues to grow in our first year versus other systems
What do you like best about the product?
We are approaching one year with Canto and have seen excellent adoption within our teams. We are starting to implement next level options like portals. We continue to learn more about this powerful system and it's features. We just were assigned a Customer Success Manager and have already adopted some of his suggestions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our implementation took much longer than we were advised in the initial vetting. In many cases this was because key staff were not available or didn't understand the needs (even though outlined in our initial outline)
There is almost TOO much to learn and utilize.
The support documentation can be challenging, especially if you aren't familiar with DAM systems

Staff are able to review assets and share in many formats
We are able to manage licensing without other types of tracking
We are able to convert assets without need for other staff
We are able to limit access to historical assets at a lower cost
We are able to store assets and data for one source of truth/approved assets
It's easy to share assets both internally and externally and track if needed

Canto makes photo review easy

Platform makes it easy to quickly review a large number of photos

Not certain that catalog feature is maximized

Canto - A Damn Good Go To for a DAM.
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how easy it has been to use and implement into our organization. I also thoroughly enjoy the AI capabilities in Canto.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features that are missing and would be extremely helpful (such as Bulk Album or Folder creation), however hopefully these things can be added later on.

Easily importing digital assets, specifically photos, from the community into an easily accessible space.

Very positive, the platform is extremely easy to use.

It was difficult at first to know the difference between creating a folder, sub-folder, etc.

I use Canto/Canva for making retail signs for my work venue. Its so easy to plug in information and make professional looking material

Can be a bit confusing to use at first, but after playing around with it a few times it can be easy to utilize.

Canto helps me sell products better and have more professional looking signage

Single repository of our digital assets.
Okay DAM,but too much upselling, too little added value
What do you like best about the product?
The software is fairly functional. We used the link feature that allowed many people to upload easily to a "holding file" before we approved photos and added permanently
What do you dislike about the product?
Several features are accessed in non-intuitive ways. The more we used it the less intuitive it felt so we had a hard time getting everyone onboard. Paying this much for any software I expected more in terms of added value, but instead all the communications were upselling us on additional features at greater cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted all our photos easily searchable. It was somewhat beneficial. The ranking system that Adobe uses (one to five stars) is not meta data so we had a lot of work to do on our end - This is not Canto's fault but reduced our benefit
