Streamlined collateral distribution
What do you like best about the product?
Unique portals allow for easy organization and sharing of relevant assets for all group needs. Users particularly like the related content and collection capabilities from portals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial setup using bulk/sync is not ideal for cases where all files are stored within a single source/managed folder structure. It's easier to upload manually versus remove unwanted files that sync.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing the correct version for any piece of marketing collateral to employees, all within a search-friendly dashboard tailored to their content needs.
Great solution for large teams with bulk assets

*Flexible approach to organizing assets with any structure necessary
*A variety of user access tiers
*Able to hold a very large quantity of assets of different formats
*Able to utilize the tool for variety of stakeholders and contituents of the business (corporate / internal material vs. campaign specific assets)
*Very flexible on tagging/maintaining/findability of assets
* Good for Enterprise Clients
*Options for non-creative users to be able to download or do basic manipulations of assets in a time crunch
*customized login screen for your organization
*A variety of user access tiers
*Able to hold a very large quantity of assets of different formats

What do you dislike about the product?
*Canto does not yet have a robust brand management solution - creating a robust Brand Manual/Virtual Book that can be used to communicate to all users brand rules. Will be very convenient if Canto can build on the functionality to match other players in this space - everything will be in 1 single tool!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multi-team & multi-user access & multi-user-rights options
Ability to have a library of campaign assets but also store brand assets in the same space and manage access between various content types
Single source of assets for our organization with dozens of users and various needs (internal corporate communication, marketing campaigns, brand management, asset storage from our suppliers, etc.)

Amazing organizational tool for small businesses!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to control what other users can see. To be able to approve only certain assets for use and to be able to create a portal for internal users to control their access as well. If you are putting a lot of assets into Canto, using the portal for internal users to point them in the right direction is key.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are trying to use Canto to also replace an internal server that we have. I wish there were a few more options with regards to to the folder structure and being able to use it more like Windows Explorer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have 25 years worth of digital assets on a server. They are saved in multiple places depending on who saved them and where that person thought they should be saved. Additonally, we have a Dropbox account where these are all saved and orgaized differently as well. The only way to find what you are looking for is to save it locally so that you can find it again. Having Canto will allow us to have only one instance of an asset and it will be searchable no matter who is looking for it.

What do you like best about the product?
My asests are finally tagged, organized and accessible to anyone with internet access.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a catchall library for all assets. Currently, Canto requires you to place assets in an album, but I'd like to be able to upload assets without being forced to put them in an album, especially, with AI search features coming on board, albums seem less and less important.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto has allowed me to share our digital assets with everyone on my team, division, organization and external partner.
Why couple together file sharing and some search made for text files
What do you like best about the product?
Search and the ability to only have what is approved available
What do you dislike about the product?
Smart tags not so smart, hoping the AI based search makes it so that is not a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a single place for people to access the large set of images and controlling that only approved images/videos are used by staff
Smooth Sailing Using Canto So Far
What do you like best about the product?
I love how the integration with InDesign seems to work so smoothly. I travel a lot and can access Canto easily on a plane through the InDesign plug in. I also like how easy it is to get a response back from Canto service managers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The backend custom fields. It's really hard to make edits in the tiny squares and should be able to have a window box open to edit, instead scrolling through is frustrating. Also don't like that things don't automatically alphabetize in every custom field on the back end and front end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's created a cloud based site for us to store our favorite marketing images to easily use in proposals and marketing materials.
Canto is easy to navigate, easy to learn, has great searchability and integration functionality.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to navigate, customizable to our photo needs, tons of functionality, uploading to canto is quick. Customer support is fantastic. The support team is very responsive and helpful. Implementation was super easy and training was provided to all our users. We use Canto every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only dislike is that the sales team is always trying to sell us add on features that we don't need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides us with the storage solution needed for our photo and video needs. It integrates with Adobe Premier so uploading our asset is easy and it takes our tags and keywords from Adobe.
Best multimedia archival system we've found for a global organization with room for improvement.
What do you like best about the product?
The level of metadata we can document and access we can provide for our users. General depth of organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
We share access to our archives to our organization for self-servicing multimedia needs. The power-users can adjust to the Canto's complex functionality but it can be challenging for intuitive user-experience. We hope this will improve with time.

A way to organize a complex library of multimedia assets with deep metadata and provide access to our global users to be able to use for marketing and communication materials in an ethical way.
Wonderful Migration over to Canto
What do you like best about the product?
Very happy with the switch to Canto! I'm endlessly impressed by all of the tools and functionality. I love how easily I can customize and change settings and the online help center. Jonathon's tutorials were very straightforward and easy to navigate. He did a great job explaining and showing examples.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far! Everything has been clear and there are so many features.

Canto is helping organize our internal archive files as well as creative mood board assets.
Good platform for photo storage
What do you like best about the product?
Canto is a decent photo storage library for my organization. It's been helpful to have the option to create portals for specific users/teams to upload their own files and then give admins the ability to review and approve those files before they become available in the main library.
What do you dislike about the product?
Canto's user interface is not the most user-friendly or intuitive. It feels a bit outdated and there are a lot of buttons and menu items to sort through to find what you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to adopting Canto we were using Google Drive for all photo and video storage. This resulted in files being scattered throughout various folders, duplicate files, and no ability to tag and easily search/retrieve the photo users were looking for.
