Canto is excellent for creative archiving
What do you like best about the product?
What is most helpful about Canto is that it's a place where I can visually archive and sort all of my creative. Before this we were digging through files, trying to remember file names and with Canto they make it so much easier to find, reuse, and edit existing creative which saves SO much time and money.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I love the BT integration and the ability to change copy or imagery, I wish it was a little more "user-friendly" so that a non-creative or sales person could edit with ease. Right now it seems a little clunky and you can only edit what is pre-selected and outlined before uploading, which takes a little more work on my creative team's end to anticipate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a creating an one stop shop for all creative that is available to all of my communities for marketing purposes. Rather than them emailing me and asking, what kind of advertising do we have for a family dinner event - they can just log on themselves and see what is available!
Canto is a Huge Time-Saver!
What do you like best about the product?
Canto is a fantastic way to manage your digital assets. My team has a ton of photos and we love to use them in our communications materials. However, we found that we weren't using things after while because our images were too hard to find. Canto has made pulling up archive images so easy with its searchability! We use it almost every day to pull photos and/or share photos via links with our colleagues.
I also love Canto's facial recognition. It makes it so fast to pull photos of our people. It's so helpful and much less time-consuming now that we have Canto's capabilities!

What do you dislike about the product?
Canto is a little on the pricey side -- particularly for nonprofits and schools. It is such a great asset to have but it is not as afforable for many. But I really like that Canto make updates to keep up with customer feedback and needs. They are very responsive and helpful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto is helping us maximize our time. The ability to find photos almost instantaeously has really made our work so much more efficient. The integration with Adobe has made working on InDesign projects and storing them in Canto super convenient!

What do you like best about the product?
Our team has been using Canto, and it has completely transformed the way we manage our digital assets. The platform is incredibly intutive and easy to navigate, allowing us to quickly find and share files across the marketing department.
What do you dislike about the product?
Canto has limited customization, while if offers customizable metadata options, some users may derire more flexibility in customizing the user interface or other features to suit their specific needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving for centralized storage of all digital assests, images, videos, documents etc. in on single secure location making them easy accesible to authorized users.
Impressive and Fast Platform
What do you like best about the product?
We have new assets being created daily across a portfolio of 50+ products for 10+ retailers. Having everything in one place, quickly accessible and easy to share has been a game changer for our company. We use this daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to have AI suggestions built in to help facilitate the creation and use cases for portals and tags.

Organization and quick access of all brand and product assets in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
We started using Canto for digital asset management about 5 years or more ago now. It has been essential in helping us manage the image rights for our digital assets. I particularly like the ability to customize the fields, tags and filters to easier sort and track images and digital ressources.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve upfront, but honestly it becomes pretty intuitive once you've started using it for your workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping our company track image rights usage, which is essential for our operation.
Loving Canto!
What do you like best about the product?
It's an easy to use powerful database that allows us to keep all our assets in 1 place and search for them easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't found much yet I don't like. I wish each user could have their own preset defaults instead of the admins controlling for all users. But that's a minor issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowsing us to house all our assets in 1 place that is easily searchable for internal and external users. It's a game changer for us. It will likely help us increase market share and therefore increase sales as regions will all have accesss to assets that have been created for one and now can be used by all. It will also decreases calls and workload for internal teams who are always looking for and sending things outside users need.
Canto gets the job done well
What do you like best about the product?
It has a very powerful image search function that makes it easy to find what I'm looking for among our many photo and video assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have experienced some challenges with our download setting templates that aren't just download the image in highest possible res. Trying to create settings for mass image download at lower resolutions for say, social media use, has sometimes made the photo renderings lose color profiles and overall solid quality we need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DAM solution that houses all of our brand and digital assets in one place. It's a good search platform too to find images we need for projects.
Streamlined our digital asset management
What do you like best about the product?
We have photos and videos coming to us from many different programs from around the world. Before Canto, they were largely sent by email and shared download links. No one ever knew where to find anything. Now with Canto, there's one upload link that is shared with everyone, and nothing gets into our system without a photo credit, caption and appropriate tags. Now I can find anything without emailing half the staff to help me find it. And when we use those photos in other projects, all the information moves with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would still love to see even more advances with AI for identifying objects in photos. We deal with a lot of artwork, and we'd love for AI to be able to identify themes in the artwork. It will catch up to us some day...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have everything in one place, and it's all beautifully organized, labeled, credited, captioned, and tagged.
Best damn DAM I've ever used
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Canto is that it's easy. It's easy to use - either as the admin or as a consumer. Setting up portals, which allows me to share a few images instead of my entire library, is simple. Getting started and integrating Canto into our workflow was very smooth.
Migrating images from our previous DAM was easy, thanks to Canto support. Creating galleries and albums is all very intuitive. It's been a huge time-saver and it's something we use every single day. I can't recommend it enough.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I had another Contributor seat. Or two.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have shared drives that are very difficult to search. I'm on a Mac and the servers are indexed for PCs. With Canto, I can just log on and find my images. Even if I don't have the exact file name - I can type a description into the search window and it'll give me the results I was hoping for.
Still digging Canto after 6+ years
What do you like best about the product?
The platform's continual development and improvement are why we are still customers. The new AI feature is an incredible time saver that I can't recommend enough.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is a bit rough, and the interface can be a little glitchy on occasion. The UI could use a refresh.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was the media gatekeeper prior to Canto, so the time-saving aspect of others being able to do self discovery for the media they are looking for is invaluable.
