What do you like best about the product?
I love the facial recognition and tagging features. It is so helpful to be able to quickly identify, and then later, track down, photos of teammates and clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search feature can be confusing and difficult to navigate, and the AI features aren't as thorough as I would hope.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto is solving the challenges we have previously had quickly tracking down photos of teammmates and clients. We are able to utilize the facial recognition feature to find photos faster than ever! Also, the ability to tag photos with categories allows us to filter for use cases with a breeze.

What do you like best about the product?
We've used the Library portion of Image Relay for many years and have recently added the Digital Proofing Tool. The two integrate very well together and are easy to use. The few times we've needed support the response has been quick and very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like a licensing option where multiple users who need very occasional access can share a seat.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Digital Proofing for clients to quickly review and comment on proofs. The Libary allows clients to reach in and grab images they need for their use - usually for presentations.

Image Relay makes our life a lot easier.

What do you like best about the product?
I've used a few different DAM systems, and Image Relay seems to have combined the best aspects of them into one package - it's easy to bulk upload photos, keyword them on the way in or once they're in the system, quickly search for assets, and deal with various user permissions (loading getting users up to speed). We haven't used it yet, but the AI tagging is intriguing. Overall, it's been an adaptable system that has removed many of the frustrations we've previously encountered dealing with a large number of digital assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
No real downsides. Perhaps AI will eventually flag photos that are "aesthetically challenged" or out of style.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a large collection of digital assets that used to be almost impossible to manage. Image relay has allowed us to turn that complex task into something that's enjoyable to use.

Efficient Sharing, Needs Better Search

  • March 08, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Canto for photo asset sharing and management. It streamlines the sharing process, making it easy to share collections multiple times with different partners or vendors. I appreciate the ease of sharing and collection creation. It's straightforward to create a collection to share with other people by selecting assets and files. It's also easy for our partners to download the files in their original format or as high-resolution files. The initial setup of Canto was pretty easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the way it's hard to search for files sometimes, especially when it has been placed in folders. It's hard to search items if not tagged properly. An advice is for the search outcomes to show where they are saved in what folders instead of coming up empty.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Canto for photo asset sharing and management. It streamlines the sharing process, making it easy to share collections multiple times with different partners or vendors.

What do you like best about the product?
Image Relay is a very robust media management platform that helps us house all of our assets (photos, videos, documents, design files) in one place. It's an intuitive interface which enables us to stay organized and easily distribute any type of media with just a few clicks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initially, it takes a bit of effort to upload, organize and tag your media, but it's worth it in order to fully maximize the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It enables better storage, organization and distribution of our digital assets.

Great solution for team asset organization!

  • March 06, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Canto is a very user-friendly platform. Our team grew quickly and we needed a place for everyone to be able to access our digital assets. We were able to implement this fast and get our files organized. Now we have a central place to go when we are looking for items for projects. It was probably the easiest integration we had in our team processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the search and share function is confusing. Some of the search depends on how we have it set up. Also setting the nomenclature of the different file capabilities (portals, folders, etc.) is a little cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Canto, we would have folders upon folders of assets in places on our drive. Some of those would be outdated, and unless you had been with the company for some time, you wouldn't know that. Canto has been a great place to make sure we have the useable files at our fingertips. It also makes it easy to share those files with users outside of our team.

A good platform for storage.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use of Canto is really the leading factor in why we chose it for our digital asset management platform. Once assets are in and correctly tagged, finding, sharing, and using them in other applications is relatively easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
As alluded to in my previous comment, if you have all the tags and metadata in your content, it's relatively easy to find everything. Getting to that point with relatively few contributor-level users is challenging when you have a massive backlog of content without adequate tagging. The automated tagging from Amazon is somewhat generic and not as useful as we had hoped.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We went into our search for a DAM looking for a way to protect our IP and enable an easier contractor workflow. For the most part, this has been a success. There are still some issues with how folks use the tool and how the data are organized. However, it is a vast improvement over our prior distributed storage situation.
