Great tutorials + Implementation team. Tedious implementation process
What do you like best about the product?
I love the people at Canto! My sales rep was readily available to answer any questions I might have, his calander was also very accessible to book. Our implementation rep was also very helpful and answered all of my questions very promptly. She was very thorough in all of her tutorials and instructions for implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downsides are the uploading process that Canto has. If you have multiple versions of an asset and want to use versioning you have to manually upload each. one. So let's say you want to keep the raw nef file, OG PSD file and the final JPEG well you have to manually upload it in the versioning box. This process is very tedious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto does come up with new releases. The most recent update had to do with some bug fixes and some small tweeks to the User Experience. However I haven't been using Canto long enough to have truely appreciated those fixes.

What do you like best about the product?
The fast response to and resolution of issues!
What do you dislike about the product?
IR needs a watermarking feature for video.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Attaching metadata to assets and organizing assets is a major plus. IR facilitates productive collaboration with team members.
Very happy with the service for an affordable price for Non-profits
What do you like best about the product?
While it's scary at first, it does get easier to use. Their set-up support is great and very helpful, take advantage of that. They also continue to provide support afterward. For small businesses and non-profits, support is everything. I do have to say that its very important to plan with the staff on how you want to manage the workflow with Canto. For a news org, its always challenging.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when the system takes a while to update and show the newly uploaded assets. I also wish support was a bit more "patience" with non-technical customers and continue providing support until the issue is solved. I also wish their Adobe Connector would support the latest Macs with the M1 chips. As of now, you have to set up your Adobe software to run in Rossertta to be compatible with their Adobe connector. Also, it would be great if they can support more formats such as PDFs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing our assets has been very beneficial and time-saving, especially since most of our staff are working some days remotely from home. Also, the price is great as we are a non-profit.

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Canto is that it helps store all the company imagery, video, and all creative portfolio of the company including the catalog. I is very helpful as we can send links from the platform to any photographer or videographer to upload content onto Canto. It is very seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike about Canto as it is very helpful in all aspects of marketing. It helps us be organized. If I need to work with any marketing or social marketing agency, I can just permit them to access content from Canto and then Voila they can see all the content in all the folders and search photos based on tags, product name etc. and find the exact image category
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto helps me to share content and receive content very easily. Moreover, it helps me stay organized with everything under the roof of marketing. All video, images and creative catalogues and portfolio are under one roof.

What do you like best about the product?
What I find the most helpful are the portals and the fact that you can create links to share documents. Also different users can have access!
What do you dislike about the product?
The beginning process is because of all the tagging and trying to figure out how to best create your folders and albums for everyone to be able to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving me not having to download a lot of files, it's also solving the issue with our sales team of them not asking for tons of request when they have it all in their portal.
No more remembering what folder an asset is in, I love their tagging and keyword system!

Tagging assets and the preset tags are really helpful so we can easily label products, campaigns, reasons for use, and common items in our assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an easy way to tag people beyond facial recognition. I also don't really understand the permission (approved, pending, etc.)

Not spending hours searching for certain assets

What do you like best about the product?
Great way to organize content. Can be structured in a way that multiple teams can independently upload/use assets while still having the full library accessible to the whole organization. I am in the system daily and and show both internal and external partners how to use it - it is relatively intuitive.
Smart tags are helpful for more detailed searches in content that hasn't been manually tagged.
Cold storage is a great cost-effective option for old content that is not often used but must be kept.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sharing links cannot be edited after creating, and must be recreated each time something needs to be removed from one.
Adjusting the structure can be time consuming. No way to reorganize all at once, but instead individual folders/albums must be moved one at a time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hosting and finding photography and video for use across all our business units is greatly simplified by Canto. It allows for easy upload, search and access for both internal and external users.
I use Canto to find images for marketing purposes.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that other members from our team can upload the images so that everyone has access to them. I also like the keyword search assistance in finding pictures.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes have difficulty finding images through the keyword search if you dont know what someone else titled the image.

I have access to all of our photos across campus to use for different marketing projects.
Great Platform for Managing Digital Assets
What do you like best about the product?
We use Canto to manage our digital assets and to work with customers on custom projects. The platform is reliable and the interface is super intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike about the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to Canto, managing our digital assets was difficult and time-consuming. Canto has also added a layer of professionalism with our custom clients that we didn't have before.

I like best the ability to search and tag images. We have a huge database of images that have various ways they could be searched so tagging them is super useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the interface and sometimes the amount of options or capabilities can be too overwhelming. It also took almost an entire year to get it onboarded and loaded up and rolled out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ideally canto allows us to have a searchable database of images, a single source of truth between all different departments but so far we're not really finding this to be true.
