Canto is great as an image repo and finding what you need. lots of tools to use.
What do you like best about the product?
its very easy to tag and find image images.
What do you dislike about the product?
the UI is a bit outdated and can be updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
storing a lot of our images and easy to retrieve them when needed.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to upload and download from my phone and my desktop, as well as the ability to easily share links for videos with team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is a bit clunky: the icons are not as intuitive as they could be. Even after months of using canto I find myself scanning the screen for tools I need most often. In general, the pages take a long time to load compared to other websites. I wish Canto would allow for different versions of a video to be uploaded via the same link. For example, google drive has the option to "replace" the video without having to generate a new link. This is an extremely helpful feature for video, when you might send a final product to a team member who catches a typo, but you want to easily replace the video without changing the link for other parties who might need it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto is solving the problem of asset management and that is benefiting my team by providing a long-term library for all of our creative assets.
Love how easy the platform is to use.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and notifications that my team receive. This allowed us to easily build a workflow and develop a quick and efficient process.
Before this we were using Google drive and our data was a mess and we were never notified about client's sending us new content to use.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collection and storage of digital assets, including the ability to crop, compress, and re-size images is great for digital marketing agencies.
Awesome platform!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to search by tags, filter results, and quickly drill down to exactly what I need. Its also made the collection of new assets easy by giving my team a platform where they can easily upload items from their phones.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some bugs and some areas of opportunity. For instance, we figured out a workaround that allows us to upload assets from our phones, but it's not through Canto's app. Instead, we saved the link to the upload space as a shortcut. It works for us, but the whole uploading process could be smoother. The app seems to be more about searching and downloading assets than uploading, which seems like a miss, to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto took 25 years of digital assets living on a server and turned it into a searchable, organized, functional asset management system. We didn't even know what assets we had - now we can easily find and manage anything.
Effective and simple w/ comprehensive features
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part of Canto is how simple it is to get set up and start seeing value right away. There's no messy setup procedure that requires someone's full-time attention in order to make the tool usable.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like about Canto is how much it costs per user. As a small marketing team, spread across multiple regions, we are forced to wear many hats and pull in support from various departments throughout the company and outside of the company. When working with third-parties, it would be really nice to have a lower-cost user option specifically built for agencies or other creative support roles. Using upload links and portals is clunky and can be very time consuming to setup properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving our issue of sharing content across regions and having a single source, or storage location, for all of the content we're producing. It makes our cross-region workflow more efficient and allows us to pull content from previous shoots and events easily.
Simple to use, effective, powerful DAM!
What do you like best about the product?
Fast, reliable, and easy to navigate. The search functionality is intuitive, and finding what your looking for is easy. Working with our partners and vendors has never been easier when managing high volume of assets, large in size.
What do you dislike about the product?
Better navigation and accessibility to shared links - currently takes several steps to navigate and get to it. Accessibility for upload links could be easier as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A central source of all digital assets across many media and partners. Easier to share large file sizes and manage versions of assets. Retail partners that need assets to support the sale of our products can easily find what they're looking for with our retail portal.
Great DAM System
What do you like best about the product?
We love using Canto to help organize our files so that our teams knows where to find every asset easily and fast. We also utilize the portals to share assets externally with clients and have gotten great feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not too many dislikes other than how some of the settings are configured. For example, to add a new category to the tagging process, you have to first go into settings instead of just being able to add it on the fly. Small things like that just make it less efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a place where we can easily house all of our assets, and our team can always find assets. It is keeping us organized, saving us time locating files, and creating a nice place to share files externally as well.
Good program for organizing, but needs to be streamlined
What do you like best about the product?
The features like tagging, sections, and captions for each asset is super helpful for finding existing images. I also like that there is a portal for partners to access a curated link of assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is not user friendly and has a quite a bit of a learning curve. It can definitely be improved with a simpler back end and more intuitive formatting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto is solving the problem of wasting time looking for that sepcific image needed because you cannot filter things easily on a computer folder with things like tags, metadata, etc.
Love Canto! Easy to organize my photos and ID people.

The facial recognition feature is very helpful!

I wish Canto had an image search feature & an easier way to add an image to folders without so many steps.

Canto easily provides a space where I can share folders of images with other people in our organization.

Small buffers with poor internet quality.
