Canto is great and so easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
I love this platform's capabilities for storage, organization, and sharing a high volume of high-res photos.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I dislike about this platform; I have no complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto makes it really easy to share photos. Within the Marketing department, we frequently need photos for print materials in marketing, for the website, and for numerous other uses, so we rely on this platform heavily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend Canto for any organization or department which needs to be able to store a large number of high-res photos. Canto makes it really easy to download, share, and organize photos. I really have no complaints; it has been a great platform and it makes everyone's lives easier in the Marketing department!

What do you like best about the product?
This was our first experience using a DAM and we are very impressed with the capabilities. It's been easy to find, tag and share photos across the college. I also appreciate the native editing tools and social media integration that makes social posting easy
What do you dislike about the product?
Since Canto is infinitely configurable, it can get away from your team quickly and become a disorganized mess. It's important to have strong external governance. If this is to be used in a large organization, having someone dedicated to the resource would be beneficial, or at least a work group dedicated to hygiene.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since this is the first time our organization has used a DAM, we are much better able to share our archive of photos across the college, which is important when you have an archive that dates back years. Having that content visible makes collaborating with other departments much easier.

The search term isn't easy to use. hope it can be improved.

It helps when you need to see many images together since it shows high-resolution images at once.

What do you like best about the product?
On Line tutorials make it easy to learn and do at your own pace. Easy to reference when you need to review your knowledge. Sales rep was very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Little service support from live bodies. Makes customer service feel distant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needed to consolidate all of our assets in one place from hundreds!

What do you like best about the product?
Canto has a LOT of features to better filter and organize your assets. It has great visual display and its easy to share assets with clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Canto can be a bit complicated, be sure to take the training sessions and think how you will implement Canto before jumping in. Portals could be worked on to provide better customization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed Canto since we had 600,000+ assets to manage and share with the team. Canto visually displays all your assets and it's easy to share!

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's easy to use - very intuitive. I also like that it's cloud-based and didn't require any integration with IT. I do like that it integrates with the Adobe Creative Suite, which makes our job a lot easier. The uploads are easy, keywording and tagging are easy, and searches are fruitful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Up to this point, I haven't found anything that I dislike with the product. Onboarding was a bit bumpy because of scheduling issues, but we got through it and are enjoying the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We will be saving a TON of time doing searches for assets when requested by other departments. We will also have everything neatly organized in one spot, as tags and keywords help us to "cross-save" items - eliminating duplicate assets across multiple folders.

Easy storage + sharing with Canto

What do you like best about the product?
Canto makes it easy to store and organize all of our photos. It also makes it really easy to share photos with people in and outside of our organization. The tagging + search functions are also nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be hard to find items in the Settings if you don't know where to look.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been able to share links to specific photos and collections with people outside of our organization easily using Canto. It also helps us stay organized.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Canto is how you search for images. Canto has a tagging that (if used correctly) allows users to find photos using vague details.
What do you dislike about the product?
No cons come to mind at this point. The only thing that makes Canto less effective is when firms don't take the time to upload and tag photos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When working on a proposal, an underwater inspection proposal for example, one can simply type in the search box: '" underwater" and pull up all relevant photos, including stock images.

What do you like best about the product?
The customer service team is incredible and so very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The uploading of assets to the software can take some time, but that also depends on how many custom fields you have to enter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto has made searching for assets much easier for all departments in our company.

It lets us access our large library of event photos while working remotely. This allows our team to work hybrid or remote without relying on a local server for asset storage.
