Well Worth It
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to search and share files! We are constantly sharing files with vendors, and this gives us an easy way to get those larger files over to them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The need to understand so many settings in order to customize users and files and whatnot. It was quite time-consuming to get in there and fully understand the abilities of Canto.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is SO much easier for us to archive and work through sharing files across our statewide team. It allows us more organization and smart-tagging than our previous system, so searching for things will NEVER be easier. The support behind Canto is updating the system frequently so it's always top-notch.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make time for the process of getting everything situated in the system.
Terrible software
What do you like best about the product?
Sadly not much, front end user interface is ok
What do you dislike about the product?
The complete functionality of this product is terrible and labour intensive, It can not be used easily as a DAM or image library
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storage of lots of images but with the search function so poor its a bad process for finding them

depends on your needs as although it does not work for us it probably has its uses that are suitable for other needs
Photographer Loving Canto
What do you like best about the product?
I think it is a great way to share the images for the company. Anyone with access can easily search, filter and find the images they are looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found anything that I am unhappy with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is the easiest way for me to share with my team. I am not wasting time trying to help team members find specific images. They can search by keywords etc.
Great Digital Asset Management tool
What do you like best about the product?
After years of getting by with a server-based media drive, it's been a huge boon for efficiency to have a cloud-based digital media storage solution. The search feature alone has saved us days worth of productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Load times are occasionally a noticeable issue, though those challenges are mild. I do wish there was a simpler way to group collections/albums.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a media archive (mostly photos, some video) that stretches back a decade, covering multiple geographies and of very mixed quality -- some professional-grade images, others crude point-and-shoot options. Finding quality images way always a hassle. Canto's searchable database, thumbnail interface, albums feature, and ability to share content externally, have all been a boon for our communications and marketing efforts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider your storage needs and how often you share digital assets externally (with partners, consultants, etc). That latter feature has been a surprise benefit to us.
Loved Canto so much at our previous company, we brought it with us to our new company!

The ability to tag content helps enable our sales team to find exactly what they need to engage the client.

Cost per seat starts to get expensive as we grow

Daily user of Canto Digital Asset Management
What do you like best about the product?
The addition of facial recognition software has been a tremendously useful tool. Previously our office was only working out of Dropbox, and the search capabilities were minimal. Being able to tag each individual photo to our own specifications has made a world of difference in the effectiveness of our photography needs. Many users are able to find what they need, on their own. This saves everyone time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike being logged out of Canto multiple times a day. I'm unsure of the benefit to this, but it can really slow down the workflow. Additionally, the need for pop-ups to be enabled for download has caused a few speed bumps with clients. Perhaps streamlining the download feature would be beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto has created one central hub for all of our photography and video assets to live safely. Multiple users on our team are able to upload, and even more users are able to self serve with search and download. Because of self service, everyone saves time.
Good, easy to use, bad customer support
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use file upload, syncs well with our other asset management platform. Simple and clean interface
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support was lacking in availability, communication and overall helpfulness. But it wasn't too hard to set up ourselves, but beware, they arent gonna be super helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to sort of our marketing and creative assets easier with such a lean team.
Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
Canto gives us a lot of flexibility to organize our digital assets and customize it to our needs. It also is great because it allows the right people/groups to see the images we want them to have access too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the loading of images when scrolling through the software can really lag.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't have to worry about using imagery of old products anymore. We can easily see what is discontinued and what assets we have permissions to use.

Great option especially for those who have never used a DAM system before.
Easy as 1,2,3 - A Smart Way to Organize and Search
What do you like best about the product?
Canto has become a huge asset to our sales team and is used daily through our marketing efforts. It is a great tool for organizing all our photos, videos, and documents. With a user-friendly interface, it operates as a google search engine for our company. Now it’s easy to find products, events, and share those images with our clients. It is our main hub spot for all things related to Party Reflections.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since we have thousands of images, I find Canto can be slow at times and take a while to load images. The home page interface can be simplified as well. Right now, after you log in - the user can see all the images that were recently uploaded making the page very overwhelming and clutter. I think it would be nicer to have a search bar, then after you type in what you are looking for - then all the images appear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Canto, we have solved our issue of where to store all our content as a regional brand. By implementing this tool to our team we are able to find related images quickly and clear up our server, speeding up our efficiency within our system. It is also acts as a marketing tool to promote all our various locations.

I think Canto is an amazing resource for our sales and marketing team. It allows us to store and organize all our products and images across our various stores. It’s easy to use interface make me highly recommend it to my colleagues. Having a hub spot for all things related to the company will clear up the server and make it more efficient to share items with clients.
Amazing Customer Service and Saved tons of time searching for content
What do you like best about the product?
The integration of our existing system was very fast. We had everything housed on Google Drive and then migrated it over to Canto. It was really fast and easy. It was nice that the whole file structure was moved over and we could use the first day we had the platform. The search-ability is amazing and has a really simple tagging system. It literally saved hours searching for content. The customer service has been really quick and easy to work with. The set up and organization went really fast and the trainers helped us out a lot.
What do you dislike about the product?
The upload time is really slow which definitely could be improved. The content files are also at a really low resolution on the preview in Canto so it is hard to tell the quality of photo until you download it. The file organization is a little confusing since there are folders and folders within the folders then albums. You also cannot drag and drop folders and restructure easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Searching for content is so fast. The portals function has been really easy to integrate our third party and consultants.

Have a good file structure before so when it is integrated it is the way you want it.
