Great Support, Needs Interface Consistency
What do you like best about the product?
I like the support they offer if I come across an issue that I can't solve. I can call them, and they get on the phone relatively quickly. They answer my question or walk me through the steps I need to get the problem solved.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how the interface is different between ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. Even though the online version is a slimmer version, it should look and operate the same, and it doesn't.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Esri ArcGIS for designing city maps to manage water and wastewater.
ArcGIS: A Powerful All-in-One GIS Ecosystem with Excellent 3D and Analysis Tools
What do you like best about the product?
1. All-in-one GIS platform
ArcGIS isn’t just one tool—it’s a full ecosystem (mapping, analysis, data management, visualization, and sharing). Whether you’re working in ArcGIS Pro or publishing maps via ArcGIS Online, everything connects smoothly.
2. Powerful spatial analysis
It’s one of the strongest platforms for advanced geospatial analysis—network analysis, terrain modeling, spatial statistics, and more. This is especially useful for infrastructure, urban planning, and utilities work.
3. High-quality 3D capabilities
The 3D visualization tools (like scenes and digital twins) are impressive. If you’re doing 3D modeling—like your mall building work—it integrates well with tools such as Autodesk Revit and supports realistic rendering.
4. Data integration & scalability
ArcGIS handles huge datasets and supports many formats (CAD, BIM, satellite imagery, IoT feeds). It’s used in everything from small projects to enterprise-level systems.
5. Strong industry adoption
Because it’s widely used across government and private sectors, skills in ArcGIS are highly valuable and transferable.
6. Customization & automation
With Python (ArcPy) and ModelBuilder, you can automate workflows—very useful for repetitive tasks like QC, migration, or reporting.

What do you dislike about the product?
A common downside of Esri ArcGIS is its high licensing cost and steep learning curve—especially for beginners. Some users also find tools like ArcGIS Pro to be resource-heavy, which can slow performance on lower-end systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Esri ArcGIS helps solve complex location-based problems by organizing, analyzing, and visualizing spatial data. It benefits me by improving accuracy, speeding up tasks like mapping and QC, and making it easier to manage large datasets and create clear, decision-ready outputs.
Extremely Comprehensive Ecosystem That’s Easy and Intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
In my opinion the ecosystem is extremely comprehensive, its very easy to use and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing and extensions can become expensive as the platform scales and maybe some workflows can be complex for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ArcGIS help us organize, analyze and visualize geospatial data efficiently. It enables better spatial decision and improve collaboration between our team.
Accurate, Reliable Drone Processing with Seamless ArcGIS Ecosystem Integration
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about ArcGIS is the accuracy and reliability of its drone data processing. It consistently produces high-quality 2D and 3D outputs, which are essential for my professional estate management use cases, such as building construction inspections and modelling. Another standout is its seamless integration with the wider ArcGIS ecosystem, which makes it easy to combine drone-derived data with existing GIS layers and supports better decision-making across teams. Finally, ArcGIS’s enterprise-grade security and scalability are a major plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the biggest issues for me is stability. ArcGIS can occasionally crash, especially when I’m working with large datasets or more complex drone projects, and that disruption breaks my workflow. The update and installation process is also frustrating in an enterprise environment. Updates often require administrator privileges, which makes things cumbersome in large organisations where we rely on central IT teams to handle installations and keep the software up to date. Another major drawback is the poor integration with Microsoft OneDrive, which adds extra friction when trying to manage or share files through that platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Esri ArcGIS helps us tackle the challenge of managing a complex estate and campus environment by providing a single, authoritative spatial system. For our university and estate management needs, it lets us bring together building footprints, utilities, land ownership, access routes, drone imagery, and asset information into one consistent map. As a result, estate teams have a clear, shared understanding of the campus, with less reliance on fragmented drawings, outdated plans, or siloed spreadsheets.
It also improves visibility and supports better decision-making across the estate. With ArcGIS, we can monitor buildings, open spaces, and infrastructure, assess conditions, support maintenance planning, and visualize change over time. Being able to combine drone data with our existing campus maps helps us quickly understand site constraints, plan works more effectively, and communicate potential impacts to stakeholders in a clear, visual way.
Finally, ArcGIS strengthens coordination and communication across departments. University maps can be shared through web maps and dashboards, so estates, facilities, planning, and management teams are working from the same information. This improves efficiency, reduces duplication, and supports more informed, evidence-based decisions when managing a large and evolving university estate.

ESRI ArcGIS is much improved
What do you like best about the product?
Simply the best cartography and geospatial analytical software. The updates in Pro since its launch have not only upgraded the current Pro experience, but also expanded greatly on the original ArcMap software I learned on. It is much more user-friendly and easier to learn to use than the original software. The many analyses and geo-tools you can use make visualization and analysis much clearer and useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I wish there were a free version that could compete with other open-source mapping services. It makes sense that ArcGIS Pro is marketed towards professionals and companies with budgets that make sense to invest in the software, but a free, limited version would be great to help people learn geospatial analysis and have a fun and easy-to-use mapping tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I frequently use tools like network analysis and link to data sources using SQL and ArcPy. Creating model builders and Python scripts helps me to control and re-run annual tasks and workflows in geospatial analyses. The data cleaning tool helps to get data in order and prepped for analyses and/or charts that set up dynamically next to my map.
I have worked as a GIS ANALYST for over 2 years using ARCGIS
What do you like best about the product?
It's simple to use easy to access and use It's tools. Whether it's editing spatial data or creating new dataset it's alway comes in handy for me. I used it for completing project.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not much drawbacks of ARCGIS but some times adding data becomes too complicated between differenct versions and other thing is when we transfer data from someone's work station sometime it value of datasets becomes changed. Nothing else.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helped me over my career where my responsibility is to find erros in data created by other team. I was responsible for marking those errors and correcting them. Making correction in that data was my duty. So it benefitted me over my career.
