Does what it does very well

  • March 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hygraph is robust and user friendly, and configurable for a number of applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a tradeoff with the robustness in terms of custom dev work that needs to be done in the initial implementation, but once set up it does the job well.

It's a good platform for managing different content types.

Easy-to-manage CMS that allows agile updates

  • March 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to seamlessly change copywriting text in an accessible manner allows product managers and developers to quickly run tests and updates without having to push code to any repository. The API calls to Hygraph are fast and easily cacheable.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few quirks in the UI - mostly in how sometimes if the RTF field is empty, it still puts a newline as a default. Also, a default message variation should be created for any new messagekey automatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to let PMs do experiments without having to block them by pushing changes to a codebase. Hygraph allows me to just specify a key, give it to the relevant PM and allow them to change the text at will.

The Headless CMS

  • March 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hygraph is the go-to headless CMS for me. It offers a variety of useful features, very easy to integrate and, above all, it's really easy to use, thanks to it's simple UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that comes to my mind right now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simplicity to manage and edit content. Other CMS don't seem to offer these simplicity and, every time we need to change something, we know exactly what to click.

Wonderful Experience

  • March 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ive had a wonderful experience with hygraph so far. Its pretty developer-friendly and the content management system is flexible and pretty well rounded. UI is clean and intuitive too.
What do you dislike about the product?
There definitely is a little learning curve for users who are not used to the CMS platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hygraph is a scalable and very flexible headless content management system, which allows us to work on custom models and content in a more flexible way than a more normal, static CMS system would. The managing of the content is pretty simple and works quite well for multiple users.

CMS tools that meets requirements

  • March 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the responsiveness and level of control i get when editing content. Having changes being made in real time is important for us and hygraph handles this very well. Customer support is generally also pretty responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hygraph does take a little time for new team members to grasp and fully understand the model. I have also felt that it can have periods of time where the responsiveness and load times do feel a little slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Content management is made easy through the centralised system and users are able to manage and edit our content in a much more efficient method.

Very functional and Flexible Headless

  • March 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hygraph offers a good level of control regarding permission controls meaning we can manage and allocate specific content access controls for specific, authorized users, allows to set role specific access for content. I am also able to work on content structures without needing to wait on pending content from other members of the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
It did take a little getting used to and I found navigating between and in and amongst the interface sometimes confusing. But after a while you get used to it. So there is a little learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hygraph has allowed us to accelerate the development of our website by giving multiple users control over content editing, which makes the process a lot more efficient.

Nextgen Content Management

  • March 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the standouts of this platform is the flexibility it offers. Hygraph offers a very seamless headless CMS experience with effortless integration into any front-end framework. Its powerful API first design also makes it a great choice for developers since it enables them to deliver content to any channel or device in a customized manner. The user-friendly interface also makes content management a breeze for non-technical personnel, so it's a great choice for teams at any skill level.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Hygraph offers plenty of flexibility, the cost is a bit on the higher side for smaller projects or startups. The learning curve can also be steep for some users to set up more advanced content models right out of the gate, especially if they have not worked with headless CMS platforms before. While the platform does scale extremely well, some of the more robust features do take a bit more time to get used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hygraph solves the problem of content management and delivery on different platforms and devices seamlessly. Its headless CMS approach decouples content creation from content presentation, allowing for simple content distribution on websites, mobile apps, and even IoT devices. It is particularly handy for projects that require a bespoke, consistent user experience across channels. It simplifies content management, removes the necessity for complex back-end integrations, and allows for faster deployment of updates—saving time and resources in the process. For me, it makes content updates simple and efficient, allowing developers and content teams to work better together.
