Deepgram has fantastic transcription!

What do you like best about the product?
Deepgram (especially the enhanced model) has fantastic transcription and plenty of options for keyword boosting and transcript redaction. We've been using it for years now and it's gotten significantly better over time. The customer support staff is also incredibly responsive and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, summarization is lacking in accuracy and usability, and does not always pick up unknown words without high levels of keyword boosting. Similarly, topics are not significantly granular so they are rarely useful for my current use case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepgram gives us a really good transcript of phone/video calls to show our end users. I'm super excited about updates to transcript summarization to help users remember what happened in each call without having to read through all their full transcripts!

What do you like best about the product?
During my previous work experience, I had the opportunity to use Deepgram API to build an application for analyzing contact center recordings. I found it to be a reliable and fast service. I liked that the amount of free credits they give for testing is more than enough, allowing me to use the platform for more than 100 hours of free transcriptions, regardless of whether I used one or all of their features.
I also appreciated that their pricing model charges the same price for mono and stereo recordings(other providers charge you per audio channel).
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not downsides to using this service i believe
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepgram is a powerful speech recognition platform that offers advanced features like fast and accurate ASR, summarization, sentiment analysis, and topic detection.
Contact centers can leverage these features to gain valuable insights into customer interactions, optimize call center operations, and improve the overall customer experience.

very useful and the transcription is mostly accurate

What do you like best about the product?
it was very useful for transcribing any voice files. I used it for transcribing call/meeting notes mostly. All I had to do was upload an audio file, and within a short amount of time, I received a text transcription. The transcription was surprisingly quick and accurate, with few errors. I also appreciate that it has a free tier, given the quality of the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is only able to transcribe files that I upload or live voices. It would be great if it could also transcribe audios or even videos from a link that the user pastes (like a youtube video or a podcast). Also the user interface is not super intuitive for those who don't code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been mostly using it to transcribe business meeting notes. This used to be a time-consuming and tedious process, but Deepgram provides a fast and affordable solution to the problem. It has certainly helped improve my efficiency and productivity a lot.

Great accuracy and diarization capabilities

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Deepgram's diarization capabilities work - being able to attribute dialog to call participants is an awesome feature. The accuracy of diarization and transcription is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
We ran into issues with language detection when there are some phrases in one language and the call continues in another language and need to handle that on our end

Powerful Transcription Technology

What do you like best about the product?
The customer service was incredibly supportive and responsive. Deepgram's pricing is very competitive, and the transcriptions are both accurate and incredibly fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really enjoyed using Deepgram, and there weren't any things I deeply disliked about them. Perhaps there weren't as many paramaters for analysis as other speech to text providers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use deepgram's voice recognition to analyze classroom environments and provide detailed and accurate transcriptions with voice analysis. We're impressed with the quality and time-effectivness of Deepgram.

What do you like best about the product?
The price is reasonable, the documentation is mostly excellent, and a basic integration is easy to get going. The API is a pleasure to work with, and the backend is visually well-designed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very minor issues: Usage monitoring could be a little better. I've also found a few spots where the documentation was out-of-date or vague.

More significant issues: The transcription quality is comparable to other services I've used, but still nowhere near good enough to transcribe our podcasts reliably without a LOT of editing. The "keywords" feature can help a little, but it's not perfect. I also had to jump through many hoops to use entire phrases as keywords (such as a brand name or a person's full name). That isn't officially supported (not sure why), but it's so essential that it was worth hacking around that limitation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Deepgram to transcribe podcast episodes for an online publication automatically. Right now, the transcription quality isn't good enough for us to publicize them, but hopefully they're helpful for episode SEO and possibly for accessibility. We don't have the resources to have a human edit each transcript, as we're putting out 10+ episodes per week.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the design of the API and the related documentation and think the free credits and incentives to earn more by following the tutorials really effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
Diarization is not great – quite a few out-by-one errors related to timings. There are few, if any clientside JavaScript examples in the documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides high-quality transcription at a competitive price, with great performance. The generous amount of free credits you receive helps me test and develop.
