My experience with IBM Maximo for 15 years

What do you like best about the product?
IBM MAXIMO allows you to manage your assets and integrate asset management with all modules starting from requisition, procurement, receiving, deployment, maintenance, and operation. Allows customization and configuration of the system based on client business process. Allows creation of custom and complex applications with the inbuilt business processes via workflow and coding using java and automation scripts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Financial integration and lack of financial modules have always been a downside of IBM MAXIMO. Although not an ERP, the EAM module could have an extended financial module such as journals, ledgers, and accounts payables and receivables. Also, lack of complete HR solutions make it force clients to create customise applications to incorporate certain HR operations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The asset life cycle from procurement, maintenance, and operations. The Depreciation module helps in calculating the depreciation price during the life span of the asset. Financial integration allows transactions to be sent to the financial package.

Maximo; An essential ticketing tool

What do you like best about the product?
Maximo is one of the most accessible ticking tools. We use this tool for all the ticketing purposes to create the tickets, service requests, problem requests, change requests, etc. We have integrated this tool with Control-M, so whenever we receive an unusual activity like job failure, long-running jobs, job not started, etc., we receive an incident on Maximo. Routing tickets, creating new incidents, creating new service requests, and closing the tickets are effortless. We don't require any additional training to use this tool—very user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like about this tool is to route the multiple incidents simultaneously. Sometimes, when we assign multiple incidents at the same time, it lands in some other queue. It logged out after some time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this tool for all the ticketing purposes to create the tickets, service requests, problem requests, change requests, etc. We have integrated this tool with Control-M, so whenever we receive an unusual activity like job failure, long-running jobs, job not started, etc., we receive an incident on Maximo.

What do you like best about the product?
I like IBM Maximo because it is comprehensive and a leader in maintenance asset systems, bringing all modules for the organization of the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
IBM Maximo needs to improve its interface to provide more ease of use for people who do not know how to use it or have had any contact with the System.

Maintenance and implementation in asset control within the company.

It Monitors Our Assets

What do you like best about the product?
It provides real time reporting and assessment of our monitored assets. It also provides the needed intelligence and insights to take action and carry out predictive maintenance where necessary. This saves us costs and makes us more efficient
What do you dislike about the product?
It has no demerits in my opinion. I believe it is great value for money as we continue to unwrap the many hidden functionalities it offers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With IBM Maximo, we have been able to keep tabs and track of how all out assets are doing and in real time. It is the dream of every asset manager and what it provides is job ease of use, great functionalities and better efficiency rating.

IBM Maximo is best for asset management

What do you like best about the product?
IBM maximo is a very good solution an enterpise of any scale small scale, medium scale or large scale can use for asset management. IBM Maximo helps achieve a complete visibility for one's organization's corporate assets and crown jewels. Since the time we have started using IBM maximo we have a better strategy to keep a proper track of out corporate assets. We have opted for hybrid deployment and the deployment was a frictionless experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their support team is a bit slower to respond. Also the support team needs to be as knowlegable as technical team. The only feedback i have is about sipport team there need to be a lot of improvement there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using all the features of IBM maximo especially asset performance management and enterprise asset management and our experience has been really good.It has flawlessly integrated with our own internal ERP solution which is the best part about ibm maximo. They have really excellent modules and are really helpful when it comes to remote monitoring from a cloud native platform. As every one in times of covid is working from home it is so much more easier now to keep the assets secure and keep track of where they were logged in who the users were, maintaining the IPs, our enterprise asset security has been certainly improved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
definitely recommend for both on premise and on cloud deployment a good solution for enterprise asset management helps a lot with compliances also.

A Great Ticket Processing Solution For Business

What do you like best about the product?
There is so much I like about IBM Maximo. It is a great tool when it comes to processing tickets as well as tracking them
Using IBM MMaxmo is easy, and so is implementation and customization to meet business needs
I also like that it is cost-effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I have used IBM Maxima, and I have had zero issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With this software, we have been able to handle all issues ticketing, and we now have an easy flaw of issues when it comes to taking care of customer requests.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are several reasons I would recommend IBM Maximo. First, it is an easy-to-use tool, and secondly, it is customizable. Try it for your business.

What do you like best about the product?
You can plan, you can analyze, you can do almost everything, I love it!
IBM Maximo is an excellent solution for managing your property's space. For me, it's a tool for deciding what to do with your office and making it happen quickly. I love how easy it is to manage an office in just an hour or two. IBM Maximo has support for various devices to access the tool on the go to use it even on my mobile phone! One of the best things about this tool is that with IBM Maximo, you'll get the most up-to-date information about your company and never miss anything!
What do you dislike about the product?
Most people don't know how to use it, and I think the UI is bad. The first few days you use it will be confusing, and you'll have problems figuring out how to do everything. It's definitely not for beginners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The only problem for me was to learn how to use it because, as I said before, it's a complicated tool for beginners. Nonetheless, it's full of benefits! IBM Maximo is a perfect life-hack tool to save time and reduce your workload. With this assistant, you can manage and plan your tasks and automate manual tasks. I cannot imagine not having IBM Maximo in my company!
