My work experience: IBM Maximo
What do you like best about the product?
Without dependency maintaining and tracking, assets are very important for our business. Before I was depending on the manual report to track on status. But now after starting using this tool, my work has become very easy and I can update, assign, maintain and track our department asset status in a single place at any time. This tool also helped me to do forecasts on our assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface is a little complex to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits are many like, now, I have reduced assets shortage. Very easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is simple to navigate. Although instalation and integrations are not the easiest to get first time with the compatability matrix by IBM
What do you dislike about the product?
Maximo can be unstable if the hosting servers are underspecced or some best practices are not applied.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Service requests for our clients are managed within maximo with all requests being logged and the logged against KPIs. These can help towards performance reviews and audits

Make sure you get IBM qualified infrastructure specialists for installation and maintenance
I worked on maximo for 1.5 years and it is not a usual full stack application it is an ITIL tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the most is developing the new application and developing new application through application designer and with great ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
If we need any integrations with third party tools we need the use an automation scripts for that so if any possibility to do without automation scripts it is very good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solved the process from manual to automation for ordering and workorders and some of service and problem related queries..

If any one need to work on EAM maximo is one of the best tool

What do you like best about the product?
I am MAS v8 and 9 certified professional and using Maximo Application Suite v9 for some time. Maximo manage functionality is the same as older Maximo version (v7) however new version orientation is good. New Maximo Mobile app is good in terms of performance and usability.

In my view --> below features should be added:
1. Some features available in old Maximo version are not available.
2. Some companies using third party software for eSourcing. IBM should consider including eSourcing within Maximo.
3. Same as before, include HR and financials modules in Maximo.
4. Budgeting is an important function for all organizations. IBM should consider enhancing this feature in Maximo. Seamless integration with Financials will add value.

Maximo is the most comprehensive Asset Management software. The standard version is sufficient for most users. On top of that, there are many add-ons both from IBM and third-party vendors. The ease of customization and adoption of Maximo to particular scenarios and workflows of clients is remarkable.

Performance. Lack of proper mobile solution. Outdated technology stack (although some effort to improve on that matter are visible)

Maximo is helping establish and optimize workflows and processes related to asset management, preventive maintenance, tools and material management, etc.

The best Enterprise Asset Management product on the market. Probably not the best fit for small businesses.
How to simplify your professional life with Maximo
What do you like best about the product?
Maximo is indeed a user-friendly software, easy to configure and easy to use while retaining the capability to be customized to suit any business needs. The best part is that even when it is highly customized, it retains the same appearance so that the user can find his bearings easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is highly dependant on internet speed; therefore, its utilization across the various remote sites can be tricky sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was using Maximo to keep track of maintenance processes within the O&G plant - Maximo saved my time and did a great job in planning, scheduling, and reporting.

What do you like best about the product?
When it comes to asset monitoring, IBM Maximo is the most complete designed tool ever. We integrate the management tool without any single issue, and the IoT lets us have a real-time meter reading from any current asset. It helps us to manage the asset inventory. We saved a lot of money in inspection and supervision at the work centers. IBM Maximo let us integrate it with Solex. It was easy to integrate automation scripts.
What do you dislike about the product?
IBM Maximo is the flawless result of your business custom requirements. You can always contact them to fit your necessities. The only point where IBM Maximo needs to improve is in its UI. Maximo is not user-friendly. Maximo was developed for professional business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It completely changed the way we do the monitoring. It reduced by 90% the physical visits we have to schedule to monitor our assets. IBM Maximo completely solved the inventory control issues, asset maintenance, inspection, and user maintenance record.

IBM Maximo can be easily customized to fit any specific business requirements whether it is about adding new applications or new tables. you need zero code to move forward and change the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboards (Start centers) graphs used are very limited and basic. Start centers will not be updated automatically unless you refresh the page.
