Intuitive Design, Helpful Support, and Easy Team Communication

    Reviewed on Sep 08, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The design is intuitive, and the support team is extremely helpful. I especially like being able to communicate easily across the team and quickly view the service history for our equipment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only downside so far is the maximum file size supported for uploading maintenance manuals to the system. Most of ours are 15-20MB but the maximum file size is only 10MB.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MaintainX is allowing us to have a paper free CMMS, which streamlines communication, problem solving, metrics, and record keeping.

Easy, All-in-One Maintenance Management with a Strong Mobile App

    Reviewed on Sep 04, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about MaintainX is how easy it is to centralize maintenance operations in one place. Work orders, asset history, preventive maintenance, inspections, photos, comments, and team communication are all tied together, which makes it much easier to assign work, track accountability, and see what is actually happening across the property.

The mobile app is also a major advantage. Technicians can receive, update, document, and close work orders directly from the field instead of relying on paperwork or separate communication channels.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting and customization options can feel limited once you start using MaintainX for more complex operational management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MaintainX gives us one place to track, assign, prioritize, and document maintenance work, improving accountability, response times, and visibility across the operation.

Very feature rich - ability to solve most workflows, especially when considering price

Great onboarding process - very high availability on from the implementation team
What do you dislike about the product?
As of Aug 2026, it does not seem to be catered for a multi-site business that happens to have maintenance needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    1. Checklists for site operations team to flag maintenance issues

    Easy-to-Enter, Easy-to-Sort Maintenance Documentation

    Reviewed on Aug 28, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Maintenance documentation is easy to enter and easy to sort.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are limited directions on how to use the QR code system. This can make some companies opt out of the idea completely or have trouble integrating them. If there was a page that included some examples on how to integrate them, with example labeling systems (e.g. specs on labels, labelmakers) that would be helpful for the community.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is documenting our tribal knowledge of asset failures, preventative maintenance, and more. This is useful for reducing downtime, quicker fixes, and a happier maintenance staff and leadership.

    Streamlined Maintenance with Seamless Communication

    Reviewed on Aug 28, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like the mobile-first, user-friendly UI of MaintainX. Unlike older maintenance software, it feels modern and easy to use, much like a messaging app. Technicians, operators, and custodians can quickly learn to submit tickets or complete tasks without any onboarding hassle. I also appreciate the built-in real-time communication, which consolidates fragmented lines of communication like walkie-talkies and paper notes directly into the work order. This allows tagging managers and adding multimedia, keeping everything in one place. The simple QR code integration is another favorite, as it lets us use durable stickers for quick access to asset histories and manuals via a phone camera without needing manual database searches. Lastly, the low barrier to adoption is remarkable, as the software is intuitive and works on standard devices, leading to high compliance rates among technicians.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the desktop experience less refined compared to the mobile interface, which can be a bit challenging when I'm doing complex scheduling, bulk data updates, or handling heavy administrative tasks. I notice the lack of direct machine connectivity or Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) tracking, so it's focused more on human-driven workflows. This means I have to manually enter machine performance data or use external middleware, which feels less efficient. The built-in reporting dashboards are useful for basic KPIs, but when it comes to custom analytics, they can feel cumbersome since they are more descriptive rather than predictive. Additionally, flagged defects from inspections require manual triage because the software doesn't automatically create and route high-priority work orders. Lastly, the per-user pricing model can quickly become expensive as my team grows, which is something I need to keep in mind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use MaintainX to solve unplanned factory bottlenecks by enabling instant reporting and triage. It improves visibility with automated asset context and real-time communication, helping me resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Easy-to-Use Interface with AI That Simplifies Creating Assets, WOs, and Procedures

    Reviewed on Aug 27, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
MaintainX is easy to use. The interface for creating assets, WOs, procedures, and similar items feels straightforward and intuitive. It also includes AI functions that make the process easier, especially for converting and integrating paper procedures into procedures contained in MaintainX.

So far, the ROI has been strong in terms of minimizing unscheduled downtime through tracked preventative maintenance and improving our tracking of capital investments. Now that we’re tracking all of this data, we can plan capital replacement more effectively instead of spending repair and maintenance dollars inefficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I appreciate the software’s consistent improvements, unexpected changes can make the interface harder to navigate and can impact overall speed of use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The software has really helped us plan and track inspections, and follow up on any work that gets flagged during those inspections. We’re also able to integrate our vendors into the process by using the external links feature.

Simple, Intuitive Platform That Makes the Transition Easy

    Reviewed on Aug 24, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It is a simple and intuitive platform that makes the transition easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I have not found any major dislikes about MaintainX. Since we are a smaller municipality with a limited budget it would be nice if there were more flexibility in the pricing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MX is helping us solve some efficiency issues as well as our data gathering issues. Since the platform is easy to use and has more features than our previous CMMS I predict that our staff will be excited to use it and that will lead to more accurate data and better asset management.
