What do you like best about the product?

Dataminr gives us access to some big local breaking news stories, and allows us to interact with users on social media to better understand what's going on and event get pictures or video for our use.

What do you dislike about the product?

There are a ton of dataminr alerts we get that don't apply to us and that we have no use for. So we have to sort of weed out the important stuff at times.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mainly reporting breaking news and trying to interact with people who are experiencing the breaking news. The main benefit is that we can better understand what's happening by interacting with the user experiencing it.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would definitely recommend dataminr to other news organizations for two reasons: it allows you to interact with people experiencing breaking news, and it allows you to get national and international news stories quicker.
