Now we can manage content publishing without daily confusion
What do you like best about the product?
Personally, I like best how Brightspot helps me in my day to day content activities without interrupting a flow between systems. I use it regularly, and its frequency of use is important in my job. It provides a secure amount of capabilities in asset and publication management. I have also connected it with Salesforce and internal catalog tools, which also assist in maintaining product content correct.
What do you dislike about the product?
Brightspot possesses some shortcomings that impact on my day to day activities. Not all tools can be readily located, thereby reducing usability in situations where I have to hurry. It also took longer than was initially planned to implement it, and this was primarily because of integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a solution to the challenge of handling high volumes of content in various channels. At my work place, I work with product pages and blog posts and this system makes everything on a single location. The features assist me in organizing and publishing quicker. I do it on a daily basis and the frequency of use indicates the necessity of the same.
Brightspot easily integrated with our existing sotfware
What do you like best about the product?
I truly love the amazing customization capabilities and flexibility of Brightspot. It enables our developers to create very narrow content models and workflows that precisely meet our editorial requirements, in contrast to other off-the-shelf CMS solutions. The content authoring interface is highly intuitive, the content creators are able to view the actual changes in real time and then publish.
What do you dislike about the product?
Brightspot does have a steep learning curve particularly when new content managers are familiarizing themselves with the rich feature set. Initial installation and configuration may also be quite complicated, and may need development resources to optimize.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a hard time with a stagnant CMS that could not be easily used to post various content in a variety of places. Prior to Brightspot, our editorial team used to spend hours and hours of our time manually converting content to fit our website, our app, and our social channels, and it could lead to delays. Today, Brightspot is a single place where our content is centralized, enabling us to produce rich articles, video and interactive content in one place.
Brightspot supports organized page management
What do you like best about the product?
This software is the most suitable option to me as it enhances teamwork. Several individuals may collaborate on work without treading on one another. The features keep things moving as they assist in defining the clear roles and responsibilities. I also enjoy the fact that it helps to issue the workflows that align with our internal processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I dislike about Brightspot is that certain actions require more steps than anticipated. The simplest updates are repetitive and this slows down my work a bit. The features may also be daunting initially, particularly to the novices. This has impacted onboarding in our team, as people need extra time to get comfortable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightspot resolves the issue of hum drum content and fragmented workflows. We had problems in preserving structure across pages before using it. Everything is now evidently presented in a process, and content is kept up to date. This has enhanced the management of updates, and minimized errors.
Makes daily publishing faster and more structured
What do you like best about the product?
The feature that I find attractive in Brightspot is its ability to make my everyday content a lot easier. I use it frequently, and therefore, the frequency of use is naturally high, and it works reliably. The features provide me with flexibility in working on various content. I have connected it to other tools that we utilize, such as our CRM that eliminates additional actions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that certain features are a bit stiff is something that bothers me. Although the number of features is good, not all of them are easily adjusted to particular requirements. This impacts my work when I am required to make changes to workflows in a short time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The issue with content management is sporadic in my team, and Brightspot will resolve the issue. Previously, we had several tools, and all is now in one location, which enhances my working day. The connections to our CRM and marketing software assist in maintaining data in line. Since I use it on a regular basis, I am aware of the time that is saved.
Brightspot Makes Real-Time Collaboration Fast and Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
The thing I actually tell people about is how well Brightspot works as a real-time collaborative tool. It’s very easy to collaborate in real-time because there is little-to-no delay when you want to add to something before others have completed their edits. There isn’t an issue with overwriting each other while editing. This collaborative feature has truly helped save hours of back-and-forth when creating content and I was literally thinking about how much time the collaborative features saved us today after finishing a long shift.
What do you dislike about the product?
When first starting out with Brightspot, the learning curve is definitely more significant than what the marketing would suggest. If you’re relatively inexperienced with Structured Content or API’s, it’s going to take some effort to learn how to use Brightspot effectively. Additionally, the documentation for many of the more complex aspects of BrightSpot is somewhat thin and often times you’ll find yourself trying to piece together information from various Community Posts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were unable to modify content independently of design elements in previous versions of our system, as such, any modification required a member of our Development Team to make changes to the code. We’ve since been able to enable non-development personnel to independently modify Pages, Announcements and other similar types of content without modifying the code base.
Brightspot allows us to post dynamic content with ease in all our different digital platforms.
What do you like best about the product?
Brightspot is indeed a shining star due to its amazing flexibility as a content management system. Its customizable content modeling, where we can define our own specific content types to exactly match our purpose, not limiting us to a few templates, is something we love too. Its multi-channel publishing features are also of premium quality; it is very easy to spread content to our site, our mobile app, and even to our partners in a central hub. The user-friendly editorial process also radically accelerates our content approval process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that has left me uneasy about Brightspot is the first set-up and configuration which is at times rather complex and consuming of resources. Customizing the platform to particular needs can sometimes need a lot of developer skill to completely customize it to the needs of that specific requirement, as opposed to a plain out-of-the-box implementation. This may be a challenge to teams that do not have specific development support. Besides, smaller organizations may be concerned with cost structure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightspot has totally reorganized our pipeline of content creation and distribution. We used to have our content fragmented in different systems which left us with inconsistent messages and painfully slow publishing processes. Brightspot has now consolidated it into a single powerful platform. It implies that we release new content much quicker, maintain brand cohesion on all our online platforms, and give our editorial team powerful tools. Our audience is provided with new, topical content in a significantly faster way.
Brightspot has our infrastructure stability through the roof.
What do you like best about the product?
Brightspot has also enabled me to categorize various pieces of content such as event listings and employee profiles with ease and without the fear of them being mixed together. I also prefer that I can configure precisely the fields that I require, which further ensures that our data is clean and consistent. Permission settings are clear and I understand, the right individuals are doing the right things in the right locations. All in all, it has made the management of our content a lot easier and kept our team on track.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Brightspot is robust, there is a steep learning curve on high-feature aspects. At times, locating the very place of a certain customization is like going on a treasure hunt. Also, the interface, though being generally clean, might provide more visual indications on complex configurations. It is not a dealbreaker, but a bit of additional information on how to be set up initially would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to Brightspot we had issues of a disjointed content and a lack of version control causing out-of-date information. Today, our digital data and information are stored in a single central area and have a transparent track of modifications. This implies that we can always be up-to-date with any new, approved versions of all things and thus a lot of time that would have been spent searching to get the right documents or recreating some lost data was saved. It has changed the way we manage content into an orderly manner.
All-in-One Content Creation with Strong Scheduling and Approval Tools
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Brightspot organizes content creation and publishing in one platform. I use it for managing articles, media, and workflows, which keeps everything organized. The number of features around scheduling and content approval is what I value most because it helps avoid mistakes. It also integrates well with our editorial processes, allowing us to assign tasks and track progress easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it can be limiting when managing unique or non standard content layouts. Some processes require additional steps to achieve the right design. These limitations can slow progress and sometimes add stress during project deadlines. Standard workflows are fine, but special cases take extra attention and effort from the team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This platform helps me manage content and publishing deadlines without losing track of anything. I rely on it to organize articles, media, and team tasks. Its scheduling and approval features reduce mistakes and keep everyone informed. It helps my team stay coordinated, minimizes confusion, and makes the publishing process smoother and more efficient every day.
Intuitive CMS with Moderate Migration Challenges
What do you like best about the product?
I use Brightspot as a Content Management System to manage our business brands, and it allows my team to easily create, edit, and publish digital content. I appreciate Brightspot for offering an impressive balance between out-of-the-box functionality and flexible content modeling capabilities. The native workflow engine aligns well with our editorial processes, and the platform is designed for ease of use and efficiency. It's intuitive and easy to use, making it accessible for my team without extensive technical knowledge. Additionally, I like that Brightspot provides enterprise-grade security and compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though Brightspot provided an excellent hands-on support experience from one of their product managers, our site rollouts for migrations have been rather lackluster. Brightspot claimed that our WordPress sites could easily be migrated to their API-first architecture, but it seemed that the planned headless implementation project took longer than expected. After working on 8 weeks of the migration of one of our sites, we still haven't finished the projected plan. The project management team needs better communication, cooperation and coordination between clients and suppliers so that the expected timeline can be met. Promising a timeline and then having to face continuous delays is not an ok interaction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Brightspot for managing content, allowing my team to easily create, edit, and publish digital content. It solves problems like inconsistent brand experience, operational inefficiency, outdated security, and growth barriers by balancing functionality and flexible content modeling.
Versatile with Good Extensibility, but Some Legacy Challenges
What do you like best about the product?
I think the platform worked well for us. It's important for us to be able to administer the various sites, and the permissions are pretty good. The extensibility is great, as within their framework, you can do almost anything.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system has been put together over many years, supporting lots of different clients, leading to some aspects feeling like an afterthought or outdated from current patterns. The development team is responsive in improving these areas, though maybe not as quickly as we'd like. Also, as just one client among many, our priorities aren't always aligned with the platform's priorities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightspot lets us focus on our strengths and avoid commodity work. It provides a UI platform for seamless interaction with flexibility over design, scheduling, rollbacks, and permissions. Switching improved our feature set and API capabilities without requiring heavy development. However, some areas feel outdated and speed of improvements could be better.
