NX CAD
What do you like best about the product?
NX is a very powerful 3D CAD tool. We use it for 3D modeling, analysis and to create our 2D drawings
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if NX had more "free" trainings available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NX provides us the tools for 3D modeling and analysis for our products

Breadth of functionalty. Depth of API coverage

Some dialogs are overly complicated. Some commands very slow to start up

As a consultant, I am helping Siemens customers in a wide range of industries with widly varying issues.
Excellent product for 3D printing prototype design
What do you like best about the product?
It has an excellent interface for creating models and offers a variety of functions to easily integrate with out work needs. I also liked their CAD capabilitites and that we saved time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It needs improvements especially in the templates and adding more customization features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solve problems in creating models, 3D printing and has been very useful especially for different design environments, becoming a unique and easy-to-use tool.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the interface and easier UI compared to other CAD softwares

Nothing thus far as I used the 2D and 3D modelling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used initially when I was working on creading 3d printing parts for drones adm later worked on drawings and 3d modelling with Engine Components.
Amazing software for 3D CAD
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to work while doing 3D modelling, Tool design and any kind of modifications required in 3D mdoels. The best part of this software is that it also work on .STL format files

As far as I used it, I have not found any critical issue till date.

Easy for Tool Design, 3D modelling and Product design and 2D drafting.
NX has it all in one single environment
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful tools for all kind of CAD job needs, taking the advantage of a single environment with parametric and synchronous tools to help create and change faster designs than in any other software
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some drawbacks of using NX, one of them, but that is also a positive thing is the file type, which is the same for all types of CAD files, whether they are part, assembly or drafts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time saving since it's a tool very easy to use, with different commands that help you achieve the desired result, if one doesn't do it like you want you can change to a different command and try it again.

We cannot get most of the modules like structural design, mechanical routing, electrical routing in single license

NX CAD product user for 3 years to perform 3D modelling and drafting
What do you like best about the product?
I like NX CAD modelling features and drafting tool bars which helps in accomplishing the task in minimum steps. The available tools precisely generate the splines and complex geometries as required. There is perfect integration between NX CAD and NX CAM modules with less data loss. Better graphical interface and simplified commands makes NX CAD a better software then others.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool has scope to develop an algorithm for generating surfaces from the point data. The connectivity of splines laying in different planes can be improvised. The time taken to open/save the assembly can be reduced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The interconnected modelling and drafting modules helped to reduce project lead time and fulfil the promised deliveries.
Nx the software which makes users closer
What do you like best about the product?
Firstly the user interface with various options available makes it a ideal cad software .The next things which is to mention is that Siemens is upgrading, collaborating and bringing new technology like recent introduction of BIM in Nx is very useful for a Hvac engineers.Usually NX mold is very powerful tool .
What do you dislike about the product?
The surface modelling should be improved such that it can be implemented instead of catia and creo in many automobile industry.There is also some bugs in structural engineer application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a formula student team lead, we are using Siemens Nx for a year. As it is cad, cam, cae, plm package which makes us to perform all the process in single software.We have used several application like structural engineer for modelling our chassis , In our chassis we are using round pipe which is difficult to notch. Structural engineer interface provides us ease to select the types of joints between the structural members just by selecting the joint type like matched cope, which saved most of our time. After making the entire chassis, we used to draft every pipe of the chassis by converting it to sheet metal, make it into flat pattern. The drafted drawing was atached to circumference of a pipe and all the critical notches were perfectly made. In assembly 2D viewer option quickly allows us to check the fit and alignment of the components.
