Essential tool for Internet Services Product and Network Management

What do you like best about the product?
Kentik is easy to use, and provides great insight into how customers, potential customers, and competitors are interacting with your network. The ability to quickly generate and customize reports across a variety of datapoints and presentations enables quick development of regular reporting dashboards, as well as quick on-the-fly studies.

I usually am on there several times a day, just doing pulse checks on traffic flow, or generating updates to particular traffic reports that are tracked on-going.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real downside, is the limitation that everything has to involve your own network - though this is totally understandable. As great as it would be to see interactions between competitors and potential customers, wouldn't want to share that information about your own network. Can't really think of anything else, overall it's an extremely useful tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Kentik for several purposes. Primarily, have used it as an Internet Services Product leader to do research on potential customer opportunities and to help guide Sales. It provides great insight into the traffic patterns of potential customers, or opportunities to upsell existing customers who might not be optimizing their use of our network. Additionally, it's a good tool for looking at competitors and understanding their traffic flow and pinpoint target customers.

It's also a good tool for day-to-day study of the network. When there are significant changes to the network infrastructure (e.g.: new PoP, new peer, significant new customer), Kentik enables real-time assessment of the resulting shifts in traffic.
