Really easy and user friendly platform for remote user research
What do you like best about the product?
I used Maze for a remote usability test in 4 different countries and my experience was very good with the platform. It was very easy to integrate the Figma prototypes and set up a usability test with follow up questions within a very short time. The platform is very logical and user friendly. I liked that I could customize the test, and edit the welcome and thank you page and I could add conditions to the survey questions and also to the missions.
The reports generated by Maze were very easy to analyze and there is an option to download the reports in cvs. files.

What do you dislike about the product?
I could not edit the Maze link after it went live and I had to make a new one. Therefore I had to sent out the changed links again to the participants.
Unfortunately it does not work automatically on all devices, because the platform are not mobile device compatible so we had to do different Figma files designed to mobile phones and generate a different project and test with different links.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very good to test value proposition and basic usability problems or AB tests.
Maze is great for quickly verifying concepts, although it falls a bit short in some areas
What do you like best about the product?
How quickly you can get build a Maze and get feedback on a concept. The report that Maze generates for you also saves a ton of time, makes it very easy to present to stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to very carefully consider what you include in a prototype, if you include too many "advanced" animations or it includes too many screens it will be extremely slow to load. Also, it would be nice to add some sort of block for prototypes other than "Mission" blocks that are less directed and a user can just interact with the prototype and see where they naturally go without a clear goal in mind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Validating designs before they reach eng means less work for them, also having data to back up decisions when presenting concepts to stakeholders.
Best way to make usability tests
What do you like best about the product?
The main feature is the blocks to build a test, because thi is very easy to work
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't link the need of a Figma link to create a project in Maze
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are making some improvements using the date of usability test, this bring more confidence to make this improvements
Research at scale faster than we imagine
What do you like best about the product?
- Maze has helped you run research at scale. We've validated our ideas before to write down a single line of code.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tbh, nothing for now. All wanted to do we did it. Nice UI, workflow pretty clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Validate an app idea. We've build a prototype and due of an easy integration with Figma we have been able to validate with a lot of testers without make it an excel sheet.
A UX team's dream!
What do you like best about the product?
Maze has given us an easy and quick way to learn about our customers and how they use our designs on a scale we have not been able to before. We're able to quickly test, iterate and re-test all in Maze.
What do you dislike about the product?
No first-click testing. It would be marvelous to have it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've historically relied on user interviews. These are still good, but now that we use Maze alongside them, we are able to quickly re-test insights on a lather volume giving us and stakeholders confidence in our products.
Maze is great for unmoderated user testing at scale for quick insights
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to ask key questions as users go through the experience is a game-changer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are multiple success routes, it is not always easy to allow success to occur in multiple routes for the user. This can look like a poor UX when actually the user completed the task fine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Usability issues, seeing if users understand how to do things and if the designs are intuitive. We also use it to help validate new designs at the low fidelity prototype stage before pushing them to development.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need easy ways to do unmoderated testing on your prototypes before jumping into code, then Maze is for you.
Awesome tool with still lots of untapped potential!
What do you like best about the product?
The possibilities to import a Figma prototype and create screen-based missions is a real game changer! Never seem something like this before. The fact that you can create multiple paths makes it easy to validate different opinions. Apart from missions, you're able to ask different types of questions that allow you to get feedback form users the way you want. Gold! The reporting capabilities are either high-level or detailed as you wish. My clients really love the fact they can stay in the loop!
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more possibilities to provide context (i.e. instruction videos). Also, certain pieces of copy aren't editable, which makes it sometimes confusing for tester. If you're setting up a desktop prototype (larger resolution) then the small purple instruction bar (which users can open or close to review descriptions etc.) isn't very intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're validating interfaces using Maze. Because of the current situation, we have to perform remote user testing, but this tool allows us to guide user in the best possible way. A must in your product design-toolbox! :)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you optimize and isolate your Figma before using it in Maze. Large, complex prototypes aren't doing Maze projects any good. Apart from that, give it a go! You'll love it!
Excellent service
What do you like best about the product?
That it never shuts down and that everything is very intuitive
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have the tools to cross the information in my report the statistics to find patterns I always have to download the data on excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Im solving usability problems and marketing problems
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its great the attention when we were going to acquire the team plan was the best.
Great, but we need more
What do you like best about the product?
Good design (visual) and functionality. Works fine with testers. They improve very often.
They havetwo modules, Maze Discovery (Get user insights, idea validation ) and Maze User Testing (testing prototypes), we are very happy using the second one because it has great integrations with XD, InVision, Sketch .

What do you dislike about the product?
It hasn't branching options like a typical on-line questionnaire. That's a problem for us, because we have android and ios users, we would like to have one project for both.
We expect they improve a little bit more exported data, regarding questionnaires and metadata from users.
When you use blocks mostly from Maze Discovery module, they are showed only in half screen (PC), this a limitation has no reason and make users scrolling page.
We would like to have more options for users landing page, no only one for our account.

We testing a lot, nowadays everything is on-line, we are using maze with Google Meet for qualitative user testing and Maze with costumers panel for quantitative testing.
For supervised test, Maze works better than Lookback regarding tester experience. That's because they don't have to install any complement in browser, just share the screen and we can record sessions with Google Meet. This option brings more trust in testing process from users, tht's really important for our business, people become very apprehensive when the are talking about ther personal finance and we like them to feel comfortable when they explore our prototypes.

Maybe if your are testing in person, i do not recomend.
Super tool: easy to use and insightful!
What do you like best about the product?
First of all you can try it and have a chance to see how it works without any demo or salesperson meeting. What I love about Maze is that we can get typical quantitative usability metrics like goal completion rate and time taken together with very specific interaction data like click-maps ad user paths.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to give users the chance of interacting with the prototype also when not performing a task but for example in a free browsing mode or at least having the chance to interact with a screen and answer some questions later.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Validating qualitative user test insights by planning roadmaps which includes both traditional user tests both quantitative user tests performed with Maze. Our stakeholder love to see the data we share from Maze and also find them to be more reliable.
