Used to be great but is now terrible
What do you like best about the product?
Simple UI, easy and intuitive to understand, cool reports, support answers pretty fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performances are terrible. My 2019 MacBook pro starts spinning the fans instantly when I launch it.
The app is super sluggish and often restarts for no apparent reason, even tho its browser based.
The reports are great on paper, but they don't work for mobile apps if you have long pages. You cannot zoom into the screen, and the heatmap is therefore useless
Still in the reports, some pages and the associated heatmap data are layered on top of each other, rendering the analysis impossible.
Prototypes are sometimes so messed up for clients using them that you can't trust the data (For example the prototype is outside the viewport, so most elements are unclickable. Or loading takes forever, and customers bounce before even having a chance to try the thing)
They do not support interactive components or overlays in Figma, so it forces you to rework all of the prototypes by duplicating pages like we are in Sketch in 2015.
I used to love this product and convinced all my clients and companies to use it, but it's becoming just terrible and unusable. Maze is not a scrappy startup anymore. It's now an established player targeting the enterprise market. It makes all these drawbacks unforgivable.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to validate a new product redesign with a prototype and a few scale and open-ended questions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are using Figma, make sure your prototype does not contain interactive components or overlays or prepare to do rework.
Do not test very long screens or you won't be able to analyze your heatmaps

This makes my life so easy at work
What do you like best about the product?
It sets up metrics for you in real time and keeps you and others informed. Making it easy to make decisions and back your recommendations to management and the like. The survey's are great too! I've used them in research studies and it made it so easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had a few times where it refreshes while I'm in the middle of something and you might have to re-write or redo a thing or two. Not a huge deal, but it could definitely be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's really improved our user testing experience and also optimized survey's we had previously used at lower costs.
Perfect Solution to test products, concepts or sales copy before release
What do you like best about the product?
Maze came to the market with a very unique selling proposition and is called usability testing. This is the perfect solution for anyone who wants to test prototypes, marketing copy, or concepts of any sort before release. I can't think of a better solution than them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maze recently announced that you could link projects with Figma and I think it just made everything perfect. I believe that Maze has a strong USP and more people just need to hear about them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maze is great for any product designer like myself as well as UX, UI or web designer. However, new business owners or anyone in the business world like marketers or copywriters can definitely have a great benefit from using it.
Quantitative remote user testing made easy!
What do you like best about the product?
Launch a test into different countries at the same time.
The mission block is the best feature! Users don't need to download anything
The mission block is the best feature! Users don't need to download anything
What do you dislike about the product?
It is quite difficult to organize the number of mazes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User testing with different countries at the same time only translating! It is our main benefit
Maze: easy and fast usability testing
What do you like best about the product?
It is a great tool that allows you to create usability tests very quickly. It also allows you to have additional metrics to make decisions about your prototypes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The latest maze update is a disaster, the previous version was better. I feel that creating missions in the new version is a chronic pain, especially when you need to create a quick prototype and discover the application for the first time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my team we are working about 8 prototypes a week. This allows us to test and iterate our prototypes very quickly.
Its results reporting scheme allows us to make very fast decisions both within the team and with stakeholders.

Very helpful!
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is doing well! Maze contains all the functions for a user experience experiment I can imagine.
What do you dislike about the product?
The output csv file needs some adjustment to use. It's not really intuitive. (e.g., duration feature)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A Figma prototype user experiment to see the user's understanding of the consent form.
Makes agile user research easy!
What do you like best about the product?
Maze is very intuitive for first-time users, and its templates make it easy for those who may not have researched before to create impactful studies. Their usability reports also make it easy to get a general idea about the useability of your prototype. The heatmaps are very helpful to see where users are interacting with the product. Using Maze, our designers have been able to do research quickly within the confines of their product team's sprints.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maze does have some quirks. I think that their card sorting test should be redesigned. It is not a traditional one that you see and can drag and drop. You have to select one by one, making it hard for users to get a complete overview of all the information. I think they are also missing some key test types like ordering information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maze has been key to helping us validate our ideas and prototypes in an agile environment. We no longer have to wait until it is out in the wild to get feedback from users on it. This has lead to us getting it right the first time and in turn, has saved us a lot of development dollars as devs do not need to recode it multiple times.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need an agile research tool at a good price, Maze will solve most of your problems. It is more focused towards UX Designers doing research but UX Researchers can take advantage of the surveys as well.
Amazing Testing Tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's just perfect for unmoderated UX tests and allows a full range of different questions types like multiple choice, etc. I was stunned by the integrated heat maps.
What do you dislike about the product?
That it's not available for live systems. Therefore I have to rebuild single pages in a prototype.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly UX topics concerning navigation paths, logic or understanding of content.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start with the free version (which can do a lot) to see all benefits.
Excelent solution for rapid testing and great insights
What do you like best about the product?
Maze is an excellent solution for rapid testing. Setting up usability tests or surveys is very easy since the interface makes it simple to identify the types of questions available and the use you could give to them. Additionally, Maze has an excellent help center, where you can find the answer to almost any question you could have.
Customer service is also exceptional. I've had a couple of times where testers hired through Maze have not provided quality answers (skipping tasks, providing illogical answers due to not reading the instructions of the question, etc.). I have reported them directly through Maze, and within hours the customer service team has reached out to me, telling me they blocked the users to prevent them from participating on other Mazes, and reimbursing me the credits of those testers for me to hire new ones and complete my sample.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is somewhat limited in the variety of question (block) types. For example, other tools, such as Optimal Workshop, will allow you to do card sorting with images, which is a feature that is not available on Maze. Additionally, there's not a type of question that allows you to rank options, so you have to work your way around it with other question types (but not in the most elegant way).
On the other hand, it is kind of annoying that once you set up your test with your prototype (either from Figma, AdobeXD, etc.), there is no easy way to reaccess the prototype link. This can be problematic if you wish to find the prototype they used to reuse or review it, but you don't know where it is on the files from your team/company.

Maze has helped get actionable insights within days. The fact that users can hire testers through Maze to complete the test (which usually takes less than 24 hrs to fulfill the sample) accelerates the process of conducting user research because it minimizes the time of recruitment, and as I mentioned, with complete confidence that the results will be of quality since you can report testers that weren't useful and get a reimbursement to hire new ones.
Additionally, since Mazes are so easy to set up, tests can be built and launched within hours, which also accelerates getting insights and actionable feedback for the team.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't hesitate to contact Customer Support about reporting testers. This is one of the things that has made my life so much easier when conducting research through Maze, and the team is extremely helpful and diligent in solving your issues.
Amazing insight for so little set up
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to use figma prototypes to create tasks and get lots of rich insights based on that.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it will look like users are clicking in dead spots when really the prototype is just not set up for those elements to be clickable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It really allows me to add quantifiable results to research beyond just opinions. Previously we've most done interviews so seeing how usable a project is for zero effort is great.
