What do you like best about the product?

Two things stood out to me. First, and this is what made the real difference, the support team was with me at every step. Led by Mayank, they were dedicated, they clearly knew the material inside and out, and they were quick to respond whenever I had a question. We meet weekly and the meetings have been really efficient. We get down to the business and wrap up in 5-10 minutes most of the time. Defenitiely the kind of meeting I enjoy. Second, the platform itself is genuinely easy to use. I always knew where I was in the process and what was coming next, so nothing felt like a black box.

What do you dislike about the product?

I think this is more of a suggestion as opposed to some downside, since the support was able to handle this for me manually: on the second year, it would be helpful to easily see the same evidence collected from the first year, along with some suggestions, as that can provide really good reminder about the work to do this year.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Going through SOC 2 Type 2 sounded like the kind of thing that would eat up months and a lot of my sanity. What I found instead was a smooth experience from start to finish. Akitra has turned this dreaded process into something manageable. I'd recommend it to anyone staring down their first SOC 2 Type 2 and wondering how they're going to get through it.

Nothing. They are great all around. I can't think of anything that I dislike.

They take on the heavy lifting of the SOC 2 Type 2 process for us. They helped us stay organized and focused. They presented us with our list of items to do and kept us focused on the end goal.

It is nice platform that is easy to navigate, haven't seen any bugs so far, very happy with the team. Team is very supportive and caring, moving forward in very effective manner, guys are very responsive and helpful with all my requests. Team even customized my Trust center page for me.

I don't think there is anything that I strongly dislike.

we are doing SOC2 type 2 compliance and it solves many problems in terms of managing policies and using automated monitoring to check compliance to those policies. SOC2 opens a lot of doors and shows that we are mature enterprise business

Easy to use; proper follow up; periodic checks.

Not much really. May be onboarding user vs employee can be optimized into one step.

Akitra made our SOC 2 compliance process far less painful than we expected. The platform ties together policy management, evidence collection, and continuous control monitoring in one place, so we weren't stitching together spreadsheets and screenshots manually. The automation around evidence gathering saved our team significant hours as the integrations pull data directly from our cloud infrastructure and other systems instead of requiring manual uploads.
The UI is intuitive. Customer support is responsive and knowledgeable whenever we have questions about mapping specific controls or interpreting a requirement. Akitra feels like a genuine partner in the process rather than just a vendor answering tickets.
On pricing, Akitra felt like solid value compared to alternatives we evaluated, especially given how much manual audit-prep work it eliminated.

What do you dislike about the product?

Issues with setting up certain integrations. Often times the cause was on Akita's backend causing integrations to fail.

Akitra centralized our SOC 2 readiness work. Policy creation, control mapping, continuous monitoring, and evidence collection all in a single platform. This cut down the time our team spent chasing down evidence manually and gave us much better visibility into our compliance posture year-round, not just in the weeks before an audit.

Akitra is run by a team of experts who handle everything to make us successful. From audit schedule to preparedness to compliance maintenance. It was nice having one place to go to get anything answered.

The website can be a bit buggy and delayed in syncing. I think real time sync of integrations would be a great improvement.

Akitra got us through our first soc2 and iso 27001 audits and educated us on the way as well for future compliance.

Some advanced features have a learning curve, and the initial setup can take time depending on the organization's requirements. Additional customization options for reports and dashboards would also be helpful.
