What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is designed to handle the needs of high-transaction, high-concurrency, and high-availability environments.
ASE is designed to handle large amounts of data and a high number of concurrent users. It uses a multi-threaded architecture, which allows it to take advantage of multi-core processors and distribute workloads across multiple processors. Additionally, it supports various types of data storage, including memory-resident tables, disk-resident tables, and raw partitions. This allows organizations to optimize their use of resources and improve performance.
ASE also provides robust security features, such as granular permissions and encryption, to help protect sensitive data.
The benefits of using ASE depend on the specific use case and requirements of an organization.
Some of the key benefits include:
High performance: ASE is designed to handle high-transaction, high-concurrency environments, which can help organizations process large amounts of data quickly and efficiently.
Scalability: ASE is able to scale horizontally and vertically, which allows organizations to add resources as needed to accommodate growing amounts of data and users.
High availability: ASE provides features such as real-time data replication and failover capabilities, which help organizations ensure that their systems stay up and running even in the event of hardware failure or other disruptions.
Security: ASE provides robust security features to help organizations protect sensitive data and comply with regulatory requirements.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using SAP since 2007 and it is the "Classic" way to keep databases in check. It's an established name in the industry and knowing how to use it makes job hunting easier.
What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is making the remote work much easier since you can access the database form anywhere. This is a very good selling point.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would access the other competitors and match it to their specific needs. Although SAP ASE is the biggest name it might not be the best option for every company.
