Megaport has been a critical part of our Network since its inception.
What do you like best about the product?
Very simple to use, it does exactly what it says it does on the side of the box with out any hassels or outages, with monthly terms and discounts for commiting to extended periods.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their isn't anything that comes to mind that I dislike about Megaport. Not being in Darwin NextDC D1 is my only issue right now, but I know that will come.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Best path routing, we peer on all Megaport IX's in Australia which gives is low latency high speed access to most CDN networks and large Hyperscalers.
2. Interstate VXC's we use as backup Intercap, turned down to 10Mbps which we then turn up when are primarys are having maintaince windows or during an outage.
Flexibility and Easy Access, Slightly Delayed Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the service flexibility that Megaport offers, as well as its comprehensive dashboard. This flexibility allows me to effectively manage everything from checking on services to making changes, placing orders, raising tickets, and even engaging in live chats—all from one place. The dashboard is essentially a one-stop solution for managing various aspects of the service, which significantly enhances the convenience of interacting with Megaport.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is a good and a bad thing, but my interactions with a human account manager are limited and generally only occur when there's a problem, but as a result I sometimes miss when new features are available too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Megaport for easy access to peering services, quick provisioning of temporary VXCs beteen data centers and as of recently, upstream transit. It eliminates a requirement for long-term commitments and simplifies service management without lengthy quoting processes. The flexible service and comprehensive dashboard allow me to manage services efficiently, including orders and support interactions.

Love the cloud to cloud and private connectivity via VXCs. Love the speed of delivery, its super convenient. Love the flexibilities Megaport has created for anyone in need of connectivity on demand.

Nothing to dislike. Megaport has solved our problems on two fronts. With our personal use and with client engagements. The support and sales staff are amazing.

We used it personally to do a Datacenter migration from NYC to IAD. Megaport also helps us with client engagement during the sales process.

We are a reseller of products and provide services and products to our end customers, using solutions like Megaport.
Depending on the customer requirements, we sometimes need to combine different solutions or rely on our in-house capabilities.
How has it helped my organization?
Megaport simplifies the connectivity process. It allows you to log in to their portal page, select the modules, bandwidth, cloud side, and then initiate the connection swiftly. This ease of use in management and configuration fascinates end customers and aids in the management of their IT infrastructure.
What is most valuable?
The pricing model of Megaport is appealing, along with its flexibility in providing connectivity to end customers. The process is very streamlined, allowing for quick configuration and management.
What needs improvement?
There are no notable complaints from customers regarding Megaport, and there hasn't been any identified need for improvement.

We have been utilizing Megaport for close to five years now.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
We have not experienced any stability issues and have not received any complaints from customers regarding this.

There hasn't been any need to contact Megaport's customer support that I can recall.

The initial setup is very quick and efficient. Within an hour, you can have configurations set up, which makes it really simple.
What was our ROI?
The solution simplifies management, provides flexibility, and facilitates easier management of IT infrastructure, which contributes positively to ROI.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing model is one of the features I personally like about Megaport.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Aviatrix is another tool that is similar to Megaport. It also provides additional features like a transit gateway between clouds.
What other advice do I have?
There is competition from other companies, so Megaport needs to improve its visibility and market itself as a one-stop-shop solution.
I'd rate the solution seven out of ten.

So useful to be able to turn up and just as quickly turn down temporary services for specific needs. Also their account managers don't treat you like a number.

I can't think of anything negative? Even the prices are reasonable!

Providing flexible direct connections to cloud services, so we can use the most appropriate cloud service for specific loads/purposes.

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to easily establish a connection to a cloud provider such as AWS without getting locked in to a carrier-specific direct connection that can only be used for that purpose. It also gives us the ability to peer with other organizations in the future within the Megaport environment, making B2B connections much easier than traditional static VPN tunnels would
What do you dislike about the product?
It's cliche but the thing I dislike most about Megaport is that we had to wait a while for it to be available in both of our current colocated data centers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An effective, simple, and efficient connection to a cloud provider. Once we have our connections set up in both of our colocated data centers, we also intend to set it up as a tertiary DCI link for business continuity and disaster recovery
