Megaport is reliable, cost effective and very easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
1) Ease of Use - the portal is simplified and intuitive for any network engineer. Creating MVE's only requires several steps and with BYOL, the MVE could be up within minutes. Same with VXC's -- select the locations for point A to point B and the circuit could be up and running with a couple of minutes.
2) Fast Creation Time - VXC's to cloud services are created within minutes upon order submission. The wait time is always on the cloud providers end to complete the entire circuit whether it be a Direct Connect with AWS or ExpressRoute in Azure. For MVE's, I am able to bring up a new virtual router/firewall within minutes with the BYOL model.
3) Pricing and length of terms could be obtained upfront and online. You could even use the pricing model to generate quotes to provide upper mgmt for budgetting.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to use the online portal chat for suppport. There is no support number to call.

Megaport provides private on-ramp services to Cloud services in our data centers.
Megaport and their staff are wonderful
What do you like best about the product?
I needed a dedicated path to multiple cloud providers so I reached out to the general Megaport contact us. After a quick response my network team was on the phone with them and they explained how it all worked. Got pricing quickly and executed on it. Within a few weeks my connection was made, a tour of their portal and we are off. They could not have been more helpful with all of our questions and concerns.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far nothing to dislike about the service it is wonderful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to have an Express Route to Azure, AWS Direct Connect and several other cloud connections if I need them.
Better, faster, and cheaper... How is this possible?
What do you like best about the product?
We've been using Megaport for connecting our datacenters, and for Azure connectivity. The experience has been outstanding. Their service is not only incredibly cost effective (far cheaper than the big tier 1 providers), but it’s also more reliable. On top of that, our account is responsive and good at their jobs, which is a huge bonus! Megaport has proven you don’t need to pay premium prices to get premium stability. Highly recommend them for anyone needing flexible, reliable, and affordable connectivity solutions!!
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, the only complaint is a lack of jumbo frames on their wan circuits ... but this is not a deal breaker for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reliable inter-site connectivity between our brick and mortar datacenters, and our US based Azure resources.
VXCs for Scalability
What do you like best about the product?
2 Things: Megaports Support and account team is fantastic. Agility and scalability is perfect for our SaaS environment

Visibility/Dashboard - these interfaces are getting better though with the recent release.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud and SaaS connectivity
Easy and intuitive, no issues using it and love the feature of moving the VXC between ports!
What do you like best about the product?
Great service and support. Recent request to move a link from LACP to individual ports was a very easy and the staff helped without any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much in the way of downsides, we have a few PoPs were Megaport isn't available would be my only complaint.

We are able to provide Cloud connectivity to our customers easily and without needing to setup additional links.
Megaport has been a critical part of our Network since its inception.

Very simple to use, it does exactly what it says it does on the side of the box with out any hassels or outages, with monthly terms and discounts for commiting to extended periods.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their isn't anything that comes to mind that I dislike about Megaport. Not being in Darwin NextDC D1 is my only issue right now, but I know that will come.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Best path routing, we peer on all Megaport IX's in Australia which gives is low latency high speed access to most CDN networks and large Hyperscalers.
2. Interstate VXC's we use as backup Intercap, turned down to 10Mbps which we then turn up when are primarys are having maintaince windows or during an outage.
Flexibility and Easy Access, Slightly Delayed Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the service flexibility that Megaport offers, as well as its comprehensive dashboard. This flexibility allows me to effectively manage everything from checking on services to making changes, placing orders, raising tickets, and even engaging in live chats—all from one place. The dashboard is essentially a one-stop solution for managing various aspects of the service, which significantly enhances the convenience of interacting with Megaport.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is a good and a bad thing, but my interactions with a human account manager are limited and generally only occur when there's a problem, but as a result I sometimes miss when new features are available too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Megaport for easy access to peering services, quick provisioning of temporary VXCs beteen data centers and as of recently, upstream transit. It eliminates a requirement for long-term commitments and simplifies service management without lengthy quoting processes. The flexible service and comprehensive dashboard allow me to manage services efficiently, including orders and support interactions.

Love the cloud to cloud and private connectivity via VXCs. Love the speed of delivery, its super convenient. Love the flexibilities Megaport has created for anyone in need of connectivity on demand.

Nothing to dislike. Megaport has solved our problems on two fronts. With our personal use and with client engagements. The support and sales staff are amazing.

Depending on the customer requirements, we sometimes need to combine different solutions or rely on our in-house capabilities.

Megaport simplifies the connectivity process. It allows you to log in to their portal page, select the modules, bandwidth, cloud side, and then initiate the connection swiftly. This ease of use in management and configuration fascinates end customers and aids in the management of their IT infrastructure.

The pricing model of Megaport is appealing, along with its flexibility in providing connectivity to end customers. The process is very streamlined, allowing for quick configuration and management.

There are no notable complaints from customers regarding Megaport, and there hasn't been any identified need for improvement.

We have been utilizing Megaport for close to five years now.

We have not experienced any stability issues and have not received any complaints from customers regarding this.

The initial setup is very quick and efficient. Within an hour, you can have configurations set up, which makes it really simple.

The pricing model is one of the features I personally like about Megaport.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Aviatrix is another tool that is similar to Megaport. It also provides additional features like a transit gateway between clouds.
What other advice do I have?
There is competition from other companies, so Megaport needs to improve its visibility and market itself as a one-stop-shop solution.
I'd rate the solution seven out of ten.
