Network Connectivity becomes so easy to configure and maintain
What do you like best about the product?
Megaport has been an excellent solution provider for our connectivity needs.
Their documentation is clear and easy to follow - every time I needed to provision another circuit through their software defined network portal, the step-by-step guidance was spot on. The contract term are also highly flexible, which makes scaling up or down convenient. On top of that, the pricing is reasonable and aligns well with the value provided.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not what I am aware of, nothing I don't like at this stage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting on-premises data centre to cloud was our challenge. Megaport's solution benefits us with the following points.
1. Convenient. As Megaport already has established connection between data centre and cloud providers, all we needed was to request a physical patch.
2. Circuit speed and contract is fairly flexible; we can either increase or decrease speed based on our business needs and not locked in a long-term contract.

We have been happily using Megaport services for various connectivity reasons.
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility and scalability on services on demand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can think of anything in particular. As a suggestion more self service troubleshooting tools for real-time performance monitoring would help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Control on the backbone network is helping us to create services ion demand and in timely manner.
Easy Peasy Installation
What do you like best about the product?
We utilize 2x services of Megaport and both were very easy to onboard. The instructions provided by sales rep and the portal itself is very easy to navigate and turn the services ON/OFF. The services work very well without any downtime till date. Awesome experience from first pse (sales engineer) call to deployment.
What do you dislike about the product?
No big qualms but if their first line of support is more technical that would be great. But, they have alternate way of calling in so that helps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have shopped for support for this cloud connect product with another industry leading provider but they were not of much help after several months of back-n-forth. When we approached Megaport, we were able to design and run the service within a month and a half's time (most of which was contractual procedures taking time).
The best solution out there!

Transformative process from a customer's standpoint - full transparency w/ quoting tool and pricing, self-service, scalability, etc.

So far we having had any dislikes w/ the service.

Megaport has always been a very simple to use product that just works; but with no compromise on quality or robustness.

it is not a dislike, but i would like a way to make sure that 2 VXC cross diverse path, end to end.

What do you like best about the product?
We've been using Megaport for several years and have never experienced any service disruptions. Their platform is reliable, easy to set up, and the flexibility of their service contracts adds real convenience.
Our account manager, Luke Dale, is always quick to respond to any questions and proactively looks for ways to help us save money and get more value from the service.

interfacing with various cloud environments and providing highly available link redundancy between our datacentres.

Portal configurations can take longer than expected, like 2 to 3 minutes to change a configuration

Innovative product offering that doesn't require me to speak to a human.

I'd appreciate if Megaport would proactively engage smaller accounts to ensure they're getting the best value out of the service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Megaport gives us an easy and cost effective way to connect our data centres to our cloud all without making me speak to a human. Additionally, they're helping customers mitigate extortioners network egress costs through their thoughtful product offerings such as their NAT gateway.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend some time with the Megaport team to do some solution design if you're retrofitting Megaport into an existing setup.
The most boring service you can buy
What do you like best about the product?
Boring? Who wants the excitement of your global network melting down anyway, just like your home internet the more boring your services are the better job the provider is doing
Datacenter neutral, blue/red zones, elastic billing, L2/L3 design options, terraform module and customer centric team that helps you stay unblocked and it all "just works"

A little extra reach in those developing markets and further out places might round out the offering nicely.

Time to market establishing global connectivity to the internet and hyperscalers to serve our app to our users!
