Hootsuite Is a Critical Tool For Our Organization's Success
What do you like best about the product?
The array of tools built into the platform makes this way more than just a social media scheduling tool. I recently learned about the listening tool and influencer platform and made me very excited to engage deeper with Hootsuite.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had some challenges connecting and reconnecting all of our social platforms
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying on top of all of our posts on behalf of the University as well as allowing us to be strategic and plan ahead thoughtfully.
User-Friendly with Excellent Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
Currently, we find that being able to create different teams and onboard hundreds of users is Hootsuite's most useful feature for our organization. It aligns with our goal to post on behalf of our dealers' pages promoting our products.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful if we were able to add more accounts to posting teams without it slowing down during the scheduling process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to do all of the above in one single platform.
It is easy to plan and schedule posts.
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to schedule multiple avenues at one time. I like being able to group multiple users, as well as, multiple platforms at one time. I.E. - schedule a Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram post at one time.
What do you dislike about the product?
My one major comlaint is with drafted content for groups. I will select a predrafted post setup by our content specalist, but when I assign a client to schedule the post. The art is recropped and I have to go into the art settings and redo the boarders so the art is no longer clipped or cut off .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives us better reporting and breakdowns. This allows us to show the value and ROI that customer campaigns are having based on the social platform, and overall.

What do you like best about the product?
One of the most helpful tools within Hootsuite for us is the robust analytics. Hootsuite pulls in data even for posts that we made natively on the platforms themselves, which is a great time saver when monthly anlytics time comes around. And running the reports is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is more of an issue with the API integration than a criticism of Hootsuite: the lack of ability to easily tag an individual on LinkedIn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of scheduling social media posts, of duplicating them for other platforsm, and getting metrics after the fact. We don't have a lot of DMs, but we do use it to communicate with our followers.

As a large company with over 80+ social media channels and 25+ admins, Hootsuite has allowed us to centralize and manage numerous accounts in one platform, making it easier to coordinate across different brands and ensure consistency in messaging and branding. The platform offers collaboration features that allow team members to assign tasks, approve content, and track progress.

Lots of different features, apps and integrations that can have a steeper learning curve and steeper pricing for add-ons!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a centralized platform that has allowed global collaboration between our marketing teams, streamlining workflow and centralizing content in one place to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all channels in Europe, Australia and North America.
With the sheer volume of content and posts our team puts out everyday - this is a great scheduling and tracking tool to manage the heavy volume of content.

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite has been invaluable for managing our social media presence efficiently and effectively. Its platform allows us to schedule posts, monitor engagement, and analyze performance across all our social channels from one central dashboard. Beyond the tool itself, my account contact has been incredibly helpful, providing quick responses and personalized support whenever needed. Their prompt communication and insightful advice have been key in helping us make the most of Hootsuite’s features, ensuring we can stay organized and reach our audience more strategically.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have a large following on Facebook and would love to utilize the product tagging feature to enhance our posts. However, since Hootsuite doesn’t currently support scheduling for product tags, we need to add them manually to ensure our content remains user-friendly and engaging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite solves the problem of managing multiple social media accounts by providing a centralized platform for scheduling, monitoring, and analyzing posts across channels, which saves time, improves organization, and boosts engagement.
Good for Basic Social Media Needs but Needs Improvement in User friendliness & LinkedIn Integration
What do you like best about the product?
They cover the basics of what you need for successful social media management. I liked the scheduling feature (when it worked) as posts were published as planned and you don't need to check on every single platform. The preview was also really helpful to see how the post will end up looking on those platforms.
Their analytics tool offers helpful insights and the inbox makes it easy to manage incoming messages and comments from various platforms.
Their CSM was really helpful and tried his best to help us at all time.
We used Hootsuite on a daily basis (we're not a customer anymore as of December 2024).

What do you dislike about the product?
We found Hootsuite to not be really intuitive. We had to contact CSM multiple times to figure out easy ways of using the tool. All in all it's not really user friendly nor intuitive. it would be great to have posts visisble in the monthly calendar preview and not just the number of posts. It would also be amazing if you could just drag and drop postings within the calendar and color-code campaigns to make it easier for big teams to collaborate.
Their scheduling didn't always work and it can be annoying to tag other accounts since you need the precice name ot those from Twitter and IG (so we had to go to the platform and copy paste their names). As for people tagging on LinkedIn, this is not available. So again we had to go to the platform itself to do that. We got a social media tool so we don't have to check every platform on a daily basis, but especially for LinkedIn, this was not possible. I know that the platforms itself can also be very restrictive, so not all blame falls onto Hootsuite :)

We used Hootsuite as the central hub for all our social media managing efforts. We're a bigger team, so working together on posts, responding to messages and pulling analytics can be challenging without a good social media management tool. Using Hootsuite helped us by saving time and making collaboration on posts easier. Overall it has improved our efficiency and long-term planning of our content calendar.
Powerful Tool but Could Use a Few Tweaks
What do you like best about the product?
I spend multiple hours a day on Hootsuite and it's a time saver for managing multiple brands across many platforms. The scheduling feature is especially helpful in letting me plan posts in the future. The analytics tool gives us solid insight into what's working and what's not so we can change our strategy. Our customer support representative has been fantastic - always responsive and proactive about helping us out.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hootsuite has some great features, but there are a few areas where it could improve. The interface is not as intuitive as it could be. Things like color-coding posts and better tags with filtering would make organizing posts and campaigns a lot easier. The approval process could also use a refresh, to bulk approve the same post on multiple platforms instead of breaking them into separate posts. Additionally, adding sentiment tracking would make the social inbox even better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite makes managing multiple social media accounts much easier by having it all on one platform. It saves me a lot of time to post and schedule things at scale instead of logging into so many accounts each day. On top of that the analytics gives me a quick view into useful data to switch up our social media strategy to get better performance.
Makes my work as a Social Media Strategist way easier and efficient.

I like that I have an access to all the social media our university has in one place, so I can manage them all together and see the whole social media marketing picture using analytics Hootsuite offers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a more comprehensive IG posts analytics, and being able to reshare IG stories in Hootsuite.

It helps to communicate with our audience in one place and see the performance of our posts on all the social media.
Great Tool, Amazing customer service
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is top of the class in covering enterprise-level social media requirements. The sentiment analytics and data precision are top-notch. Also, the technical support group is open to feedback and works on it immediately, which doesn't happen with most enterprise-level solution providers
What do you dislike about the product?
Not covering PR and LinkedIn sentiments as of now is my ask not necessarily a dislike
