Hootsuite for Higher Ed Social Media Management
What do you like best about the product?
Out of the big players for social media management tools, I chose Hootsuite because it had all the features I needed and was cheaper for a larger team. I am the institutional social media manager at a university, and many smaller accounts and managers exist across campus. I can add all the campus accounts and managers to the institutional Hootsuite account, which is much cheaper than everyone paying for their own tool. I also find it helpful to have access to the other campus accounts through Hootsuite, so I can pull holistic university reports and intervene during a crisis. I enjoy the custom permissions I can give each user, allowing me to have a layered team structure. We have the Insights add-on, and that makes social media listening so much easier. Student interns have been able to pick up the platform easily, and the training/certification that Hootsuite offers is a nice bonus. I appreciate that Hootsuite is constantly working to improve its platform by adding new features and integrations. I've used a few different tools during my time as a social media manager, and Hootsuite has been a great fit for our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I export analytics reports, the column order shuffles. I wish it would stay consistent. Also, I wish the dashboard was more customizable. Since I have a bunch of campus accounts connected to our Hootsuite but only actively oversee the institutional university accounts, I would like to be able to select which accounts I want to be highlighted on the dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social media listening is worlds easier with insights! And just having everything gathered in one place is a must.
A powerful, streamlined tool that centralizes social media management for enterprise users
What do you like best about the product?
The Analytics reporting is comprehensive - I particularly love the automated reporting feature that allows us to send custom reports to various stakeholders. It's a great way to showcase data and also provide insights and analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve involved for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows for multiple team members to have a centralized platform for scheduling social media posts across multiple channels. It's also a great tool for social media monitoring and listening. We extensively use the analytics for reporting out to stakeholders about the effectiveness of their social media campaigns.
Easy System to Use
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite is an easy system to use, it allows me to upload my scheduled posts in a time efficient manner. It also enables me to see what other posts are scheduled in within the business so posts aren't published at the same time. There is also a handy tool to show when is the best days/ times to post on different platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system can sometimes be slow when writing up posts. And sometimes errors do occur when the system changes my access, however this does seem to be recificted by the Hootsuite team quickly when I notify our head office.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to post more throughout the business in a easier manner, I can also see what other regions are posting so posts aren't going out at the same time

What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite has been super helpful in my role (Social Media Manager). I am responsible for posting on over 1,000 franchisee Facebook pages and Hootsuite's bulk composer has made this easy and quick. Any time there has been a small issue, the enterprise support team has stepped in to provide a quick solution. I heavily rely on Hootsuite's Analytics and reports to monitor the performance of our channels. I am in Hootsuite every day! I look forward to continuing to work with Hootsuite.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints - there is a lot that Hootsuite offers and not enough time to learn everything just yet!

Montioring performance via analytics, bulk scheduling posts for 1000+ accounts

unfortunately the analytics and software online are a bit confusing and unintuitive as a user.

collect all the analytics from disparate platforms and orgnaizing them in a unified location streamlinging reporting.
Social Media Specialist
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to schedule and post content. The calendar organization, draft mode, and data collection tools based off your own data in the app itself is extremely beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to post video and picture content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite solves the scheduling issues on different platforms, posting at uniform times, collecting and filtering data, and creating actionable results.
Great collaboration and support
What do you like best about the product?
Working with the Hootsuite team to implement Amplify for business use has been an incredibly smooth process. We were able to easily integrate everything we needed to get out of the tool with the help of the HootSuite team, and anytime an issue arose - they quickly jumped at the chance to get it resolved. I also appreciate the team's willingness to provide us with updates on new technology and offerings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally we have to wait for new features to be rolled out, but this is something that any technology company deals with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gives us the ability to provide our distributors with social media content that represents our brand correctly in a space that can often feel like the Wild West. We're able to do this in an efficient and effective way that also provides a great user experience for our distributors.

What do you like best about the product?
Our team's sales rep has been nothing short of helpful. From answering any questions we might have to offering a cost that is within our team's budget, the customer support has been incredible. We look forward to implementing Hootsuite's diverse capabilities and features into our daily workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a new customer who is yet to actually use the Hootsuite product our team purchased, I have nothing to dislike at this moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite is allowing our team to consolidate all of our social media needs in one location. In the past, our social workflows have occurred on multiple platforms and created a headache for our team. Hootsuite is streamlining our team's day-to-day social media responsibilities, making us more efficient with our time and allowing us to complete more work.
Comprehensive functionality and integrations
What do you like best about the product?
Unlimited posts and integrations with all the social platforms we'll ever need. The actual platform itself is intuitive, I know the team are happy with it - I need to access it less regularly but always find what I need quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, the cost. It is one of the more expensive tools on the market but you do get what you pay for, the functionality is comprehensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily having a team of 5 users all needing to access multiple social accounts at any one time. Also, the visibility tracking/management of replies to customers is a massive efficiency gain using Hootsuite.

It is so user friendly and always getting updated with the latest technoclogy

Sometimes the connections break, but usually it is just a matter of reconnecting
